Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes between divergent and convergent thinking styles. The sample of research is the fourth semester students in the Department of Physics Education IKIP Mataram. The experimental design uses a pre-test-post-test one-group design. The data analyzed is the result of cognitive learning and questionnaire of students' thinking character. The research hypothesis was tested by using t test statistic. The result of data analysis can be concluded that there is no difference between learning achievement with convergent and divergent thinking style.

Abstract

Internet is one medium that can be used in teaching information and communication technology (ICT) courses at IKIP Mataram. The goal of this research is that students are able to develop distance learning tools based on the development of information and communication technology (ICT) through the use of computers, the internet, and other software to support the practicum. This research is classified into development research. Samples of this research were the students of IKIP Mataram who take ICT courses. Outcomes of the study are: (1) a models of learning modules on the internet ICT courses - online oriented by using blogger, (2) a model of learning modules on the internet ICT courses - online oriented in a blog engine form by utilizing blogger, and (3) the publication of the article in the jurnal.

Abstract

Mastery of physics concepts of students including low category and application of learning model has not varied, still refers to the old paradigm such as teaching by lecture method. This study aims to determine the application of STAD model (Student Teams Achievement Division) to improve student learning outcomes of grade X MA Zainul Musthafa NW Pengadang academic year 2012/2013. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection. The first cycle consists of three sessions and the second cycle is two sessions. Data on student learning outcomes is obtained from multiple choice tests at the end of the cycle. The results showed that the completeness of classical learning in the first cycle was 64.00% and 91.67% for the second cycle. We conclude that the application of the STAD model has a positive impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is an experimental study that aims to knows the influence of participative learning model used problem solving methode towards learning physics achievement of studens in SMPN 3 Batukliang. Research design using pre-test - post-test control group design. Sampling using random cluster sampling, the students of class VIII-A as the experimental group and the students of class VIII-B as a control group. The learning physics achievement data of students were analyzed using t-test formula two parties polled variance. At the significant level of 5% and dk of 53 obtained that ttest is less than ttable (1.66< 2.007). Because  that ttest is less than ttable  therefore H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Therefore, it can be  concluded that the participative learning model used problem solving methode is not influential significantly towards learning physics achievement of studens in SMPN 3 Batukliang.

Abstract

This purpose of this reseach was to measure the effect of Quantum Teaching model of TANDUR toward creative thinking ability of student. This research was conducted in the class VIII SMPN 3 Madapangga. The population of this study was all students grade VIII, and got two class as sample were VIIIa and VIIIb. Students at VIIIa as experimental and VIIIb as control class. This research was experimental reseach with post test only control group design. This study using purposive sampling. The instrument in this research was test of creative thinking was formed essay test. Data analysis in this study using t-test. From the treatment was obtaimed creative thinking ability with tcalc = 1,71 ≥ ttab = 1,68. This the null Hypotesis (Ho) in push away and alternative Hypotesis (Ha) in acceptance. From data analysis can concluded that Quantum Teaching type TANDUR can increase the creative thinking ability of students at vibration items and wave.

Abstract

This research was aimed at find out the effect of using vibration animation and swell toward students physics in academic year 2015/2016. This research was experimental research. The population in the research is all of the students VIII SMP Negeri 3 Monta Bima. The researcher uses cluster random sampling for took the sample, those were took two class VIIIA as experimental class, and VIIIB as control class. The result in this research used normality uses SPSS 17 was significant > 0,05 in succession was 0,185 and 0,033 for experimental class, although for  control class was 0,173 and 0,023. Although the result of homogenytas experimental class was 3,263 and control class was 1,831. Based on the test result SPSS 17 by using test T-test provided the value of T count it  1.498 with the standard of significant 0,151 for class experimental, as for the control T count it  2.172 with the standard of significant 0,041. And so what happen is T count it  < T table. So Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Therefore can be concluded that there is vibration animation and swell have significant effect in learning students physics SMP Negeri 3 Monta Bima academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of interactive learning based on concept toward activity and physic concept understanding at student of SMPN 19 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017. The type of this research is experimental queasy research. The population in this research are all seventh grade student as the experimental class who are taken with purposive sampling technique. The data in this research is taken with giving pre-test and post-test to student in sample class. Data collection technique is using observation sheet and test. The result of research shows that student learning activity in experimental class is gotten the average score 80% with active category in learning process, student learning activity in control class in gotten 75% average score with active enough category in learning process. The average score of concept understanding in experimental class is 88 and control class is 75. The result hypothesis test with t-test on 5% significant level shows that t-count > t-table = (5,28 > 1,67), this means that Ha is accepted, so this can be concluded that interactive learning process based on the concept has influence toward activity and student concept understanding.

Abstract

This study was aimed to know 1) the effect of Predict, Observe, Explain, Write (POEW) learning model toward physics conceptual understanding,  2) the effect of gender toward physics conceptual understanding, and 3) the effect of POEW learning model and gender toward physics conceptual understanding. The kind of This study was experimental research with postest only control grup design. Sample of this study were  both science class 11st IPA1 and 11st IPA2 which choosen by randomizing from 3 grup of science class 11st of SMAN 1 Empang. The design of this study using factorial 2x2. The instrument of this study was essay test which have been valid and reliable to ghater information about how the physics conceptual understanding of student. Then the data of physics conceptual understanding was analysed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS. Thus from the reshult of data we got some information were 1) the effect of POEW learning model toward physics conceptual understanding have 0,000 significance value which lower than α was 0,05. 2) the effect of gender toward physics conceptual understanding have 0,000 significance value which lower than α was 0,05. 3) the effect of interaction both POEW learning model and gender toward physics conceptual understanding have 0,002 significance value which lower than α was 0,05. It was means that POEW was affecting physics conceptual understanding based on gender at at 11st science students of SMAN 1 Empang.

Abstract

This research aims to know the existence effect of AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) learning approach with the demonstration method toward the communication and critical thinking ability. This research includes the experimental research (pretest-postest only control group design) with a populations that are all of students grade VII SMPN 8 Taliwang with number of students 40 peoples, sample of this research there are two class, where class of VII A as a experimental class and class VII B as a control  class. Analysis technique used t-test, ttest  for critical thinking abilities 3,64 greater than ttabelis 2,15, communication skills obtained tvalue(3,33)  thantTabel(2,15). Cause the value ttest is greater than ttabel then Ho is unaccepted and Ha accepted, this means the use of AIR learning approach with the method of demonstration has effects on improvement of communication and critical thinking ability in class of VII SMPN 8 Taliwang.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the types of learning difficulties and their presentations on the subject of "motion". The sample in this research is the second grade students at secondary high school as much as 2 (two) classes. The data that has been analyzed is the percentage of student error. The results indicated that the types of learning difficulties experienced are: difficulty to understand concepts, reading and understanding graphs, analyzing problems, using formulas, and calculations. The level of learning difficulties on the subject of "motion" from sub-subjects difficult to the easiest are: Straight-Changed Motion (50.64%), velocity and speed (44.01%), Regular Straight Motion (43.87%) and Position and Displacement (35.08%). The average of students' learning difficulty is (43.40%). We conclude that many students have difficulty learning on the subject of Motion.
