Abstract

The purpose of this study was determine the effect of application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut. The method used in this study was  pre-experimental research method with one group pre and posttest design research design. The sample of this study was representative of students from each class in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut, it was recommended by mathematics teachers because they had difficulty completing multiplication operations, about 20 students. Based on the results of the study, the mean difference in the percentage of the initial results mathematical anxiety questionnaire with the final result was from 56.37% decreased to 42.65%, which were both still in the sufficient category. Furthermore, by testing the hypothesis using the t test (paired sample t test) assisted by SPSS 16.0 obtained data tcount = 0,000 and with a = 5% = 0.05 obtained ttable = 1.729 which means tcount  ttable. These results indicate that there were significant differences between the results of the test before applying the lattice multiplication method (pretest) with the results after the application of the lattice multiplication method (posttest) obtained by students. Thus it can be concluded that there was a rejection of H0 so that Ha is accepted, where Ha reads: there was an effect of the application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning activeness of students in grade X of MA Al-Ma?Arif Academic Year 2017/2018 by applying generative learning. The type of research used was classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. There were 2 meetings for each cycle. The average value of learning activeness data of student in the first cycle were 35.8 and 40.6 (first and second meetings), with categories of dislike and hesitation. And in the second cycle were 53.2 and 63.2 with categories of hesitation and likes. Thus it could be concluded that by applying generative learning can improve student learning activeness.

Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects is caused by a lack of student involvement and the conventional methods used by the teacher. Therefore the need for creativity and mathematical habits of mind to be able to improve learning outcomes. To improve creativity and mathematical habits of mind, learning methods are needed that can stimulate student?s creativity and mathematical habits of mindwith Creative Problem Solving (CPS)models assisted by visual media. The aims of this study was to determine the increase in student?s creativity and mathematical habits of mindby applying CPS models assisted by visual media in grade X MA Al-Kautsar NW RebanBurung Academic Year 2018/2019. This type of research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle obtained the level of creativity of students was 2.78, and for the percentage of students' mathematical habits of mind was 63.63%, and the percentage of classical completeness was 75%. While in the second cycle there was an increase in the level of student creativity to 3.07, and for the percentage of students mathematical habits of mind increased to 82.25%, the percentage of classical completeness reached 95% and had fulfilled the KKM.

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran cooperative learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi bentuk aljabar di kelas VIII. Jenis pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 161 siswa yang terdiri dari 5 kelas dan banyak sampel adalah 48 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran cooperative learning efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji ketuntasan belajar yang melebihi kriteria ketuntasan belajar sehingga diperoleh thitung = 3,42 dengan z(0.05,24)=1,714 dan hasil uji kesamaan rata-rata (uji dua pihak) yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai  Sig  (2-tailed) = 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang menyatakan bahwa rata-rata pada hasil pretest dan hasil posttest tidak sama sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang positif dan signifikan antara hasil belajar yang menggunakan pembelajaran Cooverative Learning dengan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Type of this research is experimental research which aims to determine the effect of problem posing learning on mathematical communication of students prospective mathematics teacher at IKIP Mataram by calculus I module. This module developed by a problem posing approach that meets the criteria of being feasible, practical, and effective. The experimental design used was the type of Quasi Experimental Design and the design used was Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection instruments included tests of mathematical communication skills, student response questionnaires, and lecturer response questionnaires. Based on the results of the hypothesis test analysis obtained a value with a significantlevel  or is . So that  it is rejected and accepted. So it can be concluded that Problem Posing Learning by using problem posing based I calculus module influences student mathematics communication and is effectively used in lectures

Abstract

The problems in mathematics learning at MTs NW Linsar are low of student?s social skills and cognitive abilities. Students are less active in discussing learning. Students are less accustomed to asking questions or given questions. Interactions that occur often one direction from teacher to student. In fact, it becomes a mindset that mathematical people are often identified with people who are unable to communicate, lack socialization, and seem to be absorbed in their own fun. In an effort to overcome these problems researchers implemented mathematical learning based on productive questions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to improve the social skills and cognitive abilities of students through the implementation of productive mathematics-based learning tools. Productive questioning is a questioning process by giving open, structured, and systematic questions to students to get an understanding of a concept. The type of this research is research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at NW Lingsar MTs with 27 students. The instrument of this research is the Social Skills observation sheet and student cognitive ability evaluation test sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, in the first cycle the average score of students' social skills was 74.2% with the Good category. The cognitive ability score reaches an average of 73.2% which is in the high category. Furthermore, in the second cycle, the average score of students' social skills reached 89.2% with the Very Good category. The score of cognitive abilities reached an average of 93.3% which was in the very high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of productive questioning based learning can to improve social skills and student cognitive abilities on subject matter Set at MTs NW Lingsar in academic year  2017/2018.

Abstract

Kesalahan-kesalahan yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Mataram memerlukan analisis untuk mengetahui kesalahan apa saja yang banyak dilakukan dan mengapa kesalahan tersebut dilakukan siswa. Melalui analisis kesalahan akan diperoleh bentuk dan penyebab kesalahan siswa, sehingga guru dapat menentukan serta memberikan jenis bantuan yang tepat kepada siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi garis dan sudut. Kesalahan yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini dibatasi berdasarkan jenisnya yaitu kesalahan fakta, kesalahan prinsip, kesalahan konsep dan kesalahan operasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari peneliti sebagai intrumen kunci dan soal tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh data 20,43% dari jawaban keseluruhan melakukan kesalahan fakta, 33,33% dari jawaban keseluruhan melakukan kesalahan konsep, 34,41% dari jawaban keseluruhan melakukan kesalahan prinsip dan 11,83% dari jawaban keseluruhan melakukan kesalahan operasi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas VII SMPN 7 Mataram masih banyak yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menjawab soal terkait materi garis dan sudut.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and effective teaching material on grade V Mathematics subjects in elementary school and to find out the results of the development of snake ladder game media in fractional counting operations in class V students. namely the Define, Design, and Develop stages adopted from the FourD Thiagarajan model. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to develop a valid and effective snake ladder game learning media on math subjects operating material to calculate the V class fractions of elementary school in academic year 2017/2018. The results showed that the quality of the snake ladder game media in mathematics learning for elementary school students in grade V was included in the good category, with an average score of material aspects 68.2, from the media aspect 72.25, from a scale of 1-5. The results of the distribution of motivation questionnaires conducted in the field trials with a total of 17 students amounted to 98.42%. This means that the game of the snake game shows that the use of this snake game media has a good impact on improving the learning motivation of fifth grade students at SDN 24 Cakranegara.
