Abstract

PT. Fajar Baizury and Brothers engaged in processing oil palm products. The palm oil plantation industry produces 2 types of products, namely palm oil and palm kernel core. This research is more focused on the palm kernel produced, especially in terms of the quality produced.  The  quality  of  the  resulting  kernel  is  of  course  good  and  some  are  defective. Defective kernel production results can cause problems for the company, because it can be detrimental. So the levels of defects needs to be reduced and controlled so as not to cause harm to the company. Defective kernel produced have three categories, there are moisture, dirt, and broken. The Seven Quality control device are used to reduce the type of disability produced. By using data that has been obtained during field observations and data from bookkeeping results provided by the company, then data processing can be done. The data used in this study is the production data from 2018. So as to reduce the type of defect that the kernel produced.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the Integration of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) to Increase the Effectiveness of Screw Press Machines at PT. Beurata Subur Persada Nagan Raya Regency. Based on the results of the study showed that the effectiveness of the Screw Press for PT. Beurata Subur Persada is still in the effective category with an average Overall Equipment Effectiveness value of 86.14 percent. This means that the screw press machine used is still very effective in the process of pressing the FFB. From the results of the analysis of the six big lose factor, it can be seen that Reduced speed losses is a very significant factor in the decline in OEE values on screw press machines with an average of 52.69% or with a time of 130.47 minutes. The results of the FMEA analysis show that the RPN value the biggest is 180 in the breakdown losses for the type of broken shift failure then the second largest is 120 in the reduced speed losses for the type of failure the engine speed is reduced. The results of the FMEA weighting with the largest RPN (risk priority number) for each category are 180 and 120. Based on these results it is necessary to propose improvements to reduce the breakdown losses and reduced speed losses in the highest repair priority, namely broken beds and reduced engine speeds. Overcoming these problems can be done by doing preventive maintenance on a regular basis once a week to prevent damage by dismantling the machine and re-installing and tightening or replacing new components.

Abstract

Waste management aims to protect clean and healthy environment. Handling of waste problems in Blang Krueng area still has many obstacles. Most of the locations of waste disposal in Blang Krueng area do not meet health requirements. People do not yet have waste dumping. This is due to the unavailability of waste transportation facilities. In addition, in order to overcome this waste, people often burn the wastes. However, it can cause air pollution. Thus, this research is expected to optimize waste transportation facilities based on the number of ritations by using waste generation data in the area. The last hope of course the cleanliness  in Blang Krueng area.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) is the sole manager of the electricity industry in Indonesia which is owned by the Indonesian government in the form of a State-Owned Enterprise. Steam power plant is one of the leading power plants in Indonesia. Aceh Province has one steam power plant located in Nagan Raya Regency and has two generating units with an installed capacity of 2x110 Megawatts. However, a power outage is unavoidable and still often occurs if one of the plants is damaged or damaged. Corrective maintenance activities and overall maintenance is one of the causes of the high frequency of interference or damage, especially in the boiler section. This study aims to determine the proposed maintenance and repair time to achieve a reliability level of up to 80% in every important boiler component. The proposed maintenance and repair time can be obtained based on historical time to failure and time to repair data. Good maintenance and repair time can be assessed based on high reliability values. The results obtained that the proposed maintenance time is 67 hours to 585 hours to achieve 80% reliability value on eight important components in the boiler section. While the proposed repair time is from 1,036 hours to 1,497 hours to reach 80% reliability value on eight important components in the boiler section.

Abstract

The community's conventional salt production business is one of the economic drivers of the community. In addition to being able to provide a lot of jobs for people in Indonesia's coastal areas, the people's salt production business is also seen as a way to reduce poverty. Pidie Regency, which is included in the Province of Aceh, is one area that has a wide coastline and can be utilized as a salt farmer business. Pidie is an area that has a salt production business with a total production of 449.05 tons/month. The problem faced in the traditional salt processing business in Pidie District is the unknown level of risk that exists in each salt production process. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of risk in the traditional salt production process using failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and probability impact matrix (PIM) in the Saho Adab people's salt business group in Keude Ie Leubeu Village, Kembang Tanjong District, Pidie District. FMEA is a form of qualitative analysis that assesses the severity , occurrence and detection on each activity and then given a value on a predetermined scale. Whereas risk assessment using PIM only assesses the severity and occurrence. Based on the analysis of failure and effect modes, the salt production process has a high level of risk, namely the packaging process with an RPN value (risk priority number) 75, the salt water storage process with an RPN value of 48, the drying process with an RPN value of 45 and the level of the soil process with an RPN 45. While the results of the matrix impact probability obtained by the salt production process that has a high level of risk, namely the process of storing salt with a value of 5, the packaging process with a value of 4, the process of leveling sand with a value of 3,5 and the process of salt water filtration with sand filtration media containing NaCl with a value of 3,5.

Abstract

The pharmacy is a place for the taking of drugs available at the Puskesmas Ingin Jaya, where in the process of taking drugs often there is a queue at certain times. This study aims to improve services so as to minimize the average waiting time for taking drugs while waiting in the queue and the service queue system so that the queue does not occur too long. The analytical method used is queuing theory analysis in accordance with the single phase single channel model or M / M / 1 which is applied to the pharmacy Puskesmas Ingin Jaya. The results of research on the process of taking drugs at the pharmacy Puskesmas Ingin Jaya by using queuing theory analysis, namely by calculating the queue model of one service line shows that in the non-rush hour condition, the number of facility lines used by one facility line is good, but not at the hour condition busy at 09.00-10.00, which shows that the longest patient waiting in the queue is 11 people, while the shortest queue is at 11.00-12.00, 9 people. The suggestion in this study is to add one service facility during the peak hour period, namely to become two facilities so that it is expected to optimize the performance of the service in the process of taking drugs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal number of workers in accordance with the needs of the company and determine the standard time needed for the brick making process. The method used in this study is the stopwatch time study method in which this method is applied to work that lasts briefly and repeatedly (repetitive. Based on the results of the study shows that the optimal amount of labor that should be employed in accordance with the needs of companies in making stone brick press at each work station that is 2 workers with details of workers at the clay excavation station labor that should be employed that is amounting to 2 people, the station put clay into the press machine labor that should be employed that is amounting to 2 people, printing station power the work that should be employed is numbered 2 people, the work station compiles the printout into the wheelbarrow the manpower that should be employed is amounting to 2 people, and the work station compiles the press bricks to the place where the workforce should be employed which is the sum 2 people where the actual number of workers is only 3 people where of the three workers concurrently doing work activities, with the addition of the workforce at each station 1 workforce is expected to achieve production targets and can meet product demand every month at UD. Three Sets of Nagan Raya Regency. The standard time needed for the clay excavation station is 54.78 minutes, the standard time required for the station to enter clay into the press is 41.43 minutes, the standard time required for the brick press molding station is 43.03 minutes, the standard time needed at the work station to compile the printed material into the wheelbarrow is 55.86 minutes, while the standard time required at the work station to compile the brick press to the drying area is 50.17 minutes.

Abstract

Pidie is one of the districts that has a large coastline and is widely used for traditional salt production. Pidie Regency has a salt production business with total production reaching 449.05 tons / month, and production area has reached 28.74 hectares with 451 salt farmers. The problem faced in the traditional salt production business in Pidie District is that there is no integrated quality control in the results of traditional salt production. The purpose of this study is to apply statistical process control methods to control the quality of traditional salt in the salt business group of the Saho Adab community in Keude Ie Leubeu Village, Kembang Tanjong District, Pidie Regency. Statistical process control is a statistical analysis technique used to ensure that processes meet standards. Statistical process control techniques in this study will use three quality control tools, namely pareto diagrams, control charts, and cause effect diagrams. After controlling the quality of salt in the Saho Adab Pidie District using statistical process control techniques as seen from the control map, no salt sample data were found that went out of control limits. Whether it's for NaCl levels or salt particle size. Factors affecting the quality of salt production such as human, machine, material, method and environment factors.

Abstract

Puskesmas has a counter service, because every patient at the puskesmas who will take the medicine is served through the counter. In general, each puskesmas has a minimum number of one counter according to service needs. The problem that occurs in the Puskesmas is that it always causes queues for patients. Queues that occur in the Kuala District Public Health Center are at the drug collection counter. The volume of arrivals is in the queue per day of 109, with a study time of 5 days. While at the drug collection counter, it only has one counter. The aim of the study was to find out whether the number of drug collection counters in the Puskesmas was optimal and to find out how many counters should be owned by the Puskesmas so that they could serve patients optimally. The method used in this study is a queuing model to determine the performance of drug collection counters. In addition simulation techniques are also used to provide an overview of a system to evaluate and improve system performance. From the results of calculations and simulations of the Arena, it was found that the number of optimal counters for drug collection counters was 4 counters. From the results of the calculation of simulation output, it can be seen that the simulation model scenario 2 is better than the simulation model scenario 1 and scenario 3, because in scenario 2 there are 4 counters with a waiting time of 0.8546 minutes, thus reducing the number of patient queues.

Abstract

Indomaret is a company engaged in the largest retail business in Indonesia. Over time, Indomaret continued to add outlets in various areas of housing, offices, commerce, tourism and apartments. One of the outlets is located in Sidayu, Gresik Regency. In this case there is a learning process for the operation of a large-scale retail network. Promotional strategies are needed to outperform competition in the era of globalization. Data collection is done by identifying factors that influence the surrounding environment. The analysis model used in this study is the SWOT analysis and the Grand Strategy Matrix. This analysis is based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation of the Indomaret franchise company the strategy that must be done to increase consumers is to continue to innovate that combines technology with market demand, namely shopping online. Whether it's in the form of transactions of goods or services online or with non-online ones. Indomaret is able to create innovations that are able to meet every customer's needs by making it easy to shop through the application. Indomaret is also able to see job opportunities by making innovations in the field of services, namely online couriers by utilizing the location of stores in various regions. As per the company motto, "easy and economical". Based on the calculation of internal and external factors, it can be seen that the factors of strength and weakness in the axis (X) are 0.352, while opportunities and threats are on the axis (Y) with a value of 0.354 in quadrant I which is a Growth Strategy where the strategy must be done evaluation, namely market development, market penetration, product development, future integration, backward integration, horizontal integration, and diversification.
