Abstract

The role of labor is an important factor in industrial activity because it affects the quality and quantity of output produced products. When doing activities, there is an interaction between the operator and the machine used. Knowing the operator's work posture to see the suitability when there is an interaction between work and work equipment used. Thus we can find out how the operator works correctly or not so that the level of fatigue, risk of illness, or even work accidents can be minimized to a minimum. In this study the RULA and REBA methods are used to assess the operator's work posture and get conclusions from the results of the work posture assessment in order to provide an idea of the right attitude and work position for the operator to avoid the risk of accidents and fatal fatigue in the packaging section of the factory processing department DX at PT. Bridgestone Sumatra Rubber Estate. Using the RULA method, the main score from the operator's work posture checks the surface contamination of bale 6 and the bale wrapping with plastic bags is 7, for the REBA method the operator of surface contamination bale 6 checks 10 and the bale wrapping operator with plastic bags is 8. From the grand value of RULA and REBA levels of risk of musculoskeletal disorders caused are at a high level so that further evaluation and corrective action are required.

Abstract

Work posture analysis needs to be done in order to reduce injuries, Musculoskeletal Disorders are one of the injuries that are often experienced by workers in carrying out Manual Material Handling (MMH) activities, namely injuries to muscles, nerves, tendons, bones, joints, cartilage caused by activities work. The purpose of this study was to measure work posture using the OWAS and REBA methods. These results will be used as a reference to provide recommendations for improving working posture at the Sterilizer station. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant difference in evaluating work posture in assessing work posture with the application of OWAS and REBA methods. Only the final score (grand score) is different, this is because the assessment of the assessment category scores on each work element is different based on the method used. Assessment of posture based on the OWAS and REBA methods provides the same conclusion that the level of risk of musculoskeletal disorders is at a high level. This proves that both relevant methods are used to assess at the sterilization station at PT. Karya Tanah Subur.

Abstract

Tirta Mountala Regional Water Company (PDAM) is a regional company that has a concentration in the field of water supply. This study aims to implement Lean Service at PDAM Tirta Mountala in an effort to reduce waste in the service of installing new pipe connections. The method used in the study uses Big Picture Mapping and Root cause analysis in finding the causes of waste. The study was conducted in several stages, namely preliminary observations then continued with determining the use of the methods used, collecting data, conducting data processing, analyzing the results of data processing and finally concluding the results of the research, as well as being reviewed from lean service theories, The Waste that occurs is Over Production, Defect, Unnecessary Inventory, Inappropriate Processing, Excessive Transportation, Waiting, Unnecessary Motion. While the critical waste that occurs in the service process is waiting with a weight of 0.36. Waste waiting is caused by mechanical power delay, material repair delay, delay in repairing pipelines passing through public spaces. By knowing the types of waste and critical waste in PDAMs, it is expected to reduce waste and customer satisfaction is fulfilled.

Abstract

CV. Barona Vulkanisir Ban is a company engaged in tire remanufacturing, which is made to order. The problem that occurs in the company is that there are several divisions of unbalanced workload, in the production process at work stations. So that production is not carried out properly, there is a buildup of materials at several work stations. To solve this problem a line balancing process is carried out. The line balancing process is carried out using the Largest Candidate Rule (LCR) method, with the aim of obtaining a good trajectory balance design, to increase production efficiency and provide an overview of the different conditions of work stations before and after trajectory balancing. The results show that the method the best trajectory balance design with trajectory efficiency results of 58%, balace delay of 42%, smoothing index 156.58 minutes and work stations numbering 3. These results are certainly better than the previous conditions, where the track efficiency level is 21.74%, balance delay 78.26 % and smoothing index 463.58 minutes.

Abstract

This study of research is to optimize and evaluate the technical performance of irrigation management in Jambo Ayen and Alue Ubay Irrigation Area in North Aceh District, so that the existing water resources system and the advantages of the two irrigation areas can be known. The experimental design used in this study is by literature study, and secondary data collection at several agencies. The results of this study indicate that the optimization of the average value of total efficiency ratio of water demand volume to water intake volume in Jambo Aye Irrigation Area is 81% and Alue Ubay 69%. Optimization of relative water supply in Jambo Aye irrigation area shows an average value of 2.82, irrigation area of Alue Ubay 2.33. The irrigation areas of Jambo Aye and Alue Ubay have average RPPA values with good category, that is 0.8-1.1. the indicator of maintenance of building effectiveness in Irrigation Area of Jambo Aye and Alue Ubay is 1. So it can be concluded that the optimization of the mean value of the total efficiency ratio of the volume of water demand to the volume of air intake is obtained to exceed the standard value of the technical irrigation network level.

Abstract

In this study, work observations were carried out using the Work Sampling method. Work Sampling method is used to see employee productivity in completing work. This research is also supported by the spread of the Nordic Standard Quaire Questionnaire (SNQ) to find out complaints experienced by workers. From the results of data processing, it is obtained that the standard time of each Worker / employee in completing their work is, Worker 1 is 60.13 minutes, Worker 2 is 59.236 minutes, Worker 3 is 59.035 minutes, Worker 4 is 60.218 minutes. The average percentage of workers working (productive) is 88.27% and the average percentage of workers doing idle is 11.73%. And from observing the work sampling method, there were 8 workers in the governance & compliance department.

Abstract

Now, industry that is engaged in services has increased, this requires the procurement of services must be able to provide optimal service. The business is needed for the company to remain competitive in other service industries. One of the main factors that greatly influences how services are provided. The quality of production is very dependent on the efficient use of time. Measurement of work time can be seen from the production and operating activities in the company whether efficient or not. The more effective and efficient the employee completes a work cycle, the more productive and the resulting output will be as high. Cut Nyak Dhien Regional Hospital is a company engaged in the field of health supply. Cutnyak Dhien Regional Hospital has one service unit, one of which is the Health BPJS unit, where the SEP card (patient eligibility letter) is prepared in this unit. This SEP will be brought to certain poly-poly. The problem found was that operators had to complete SEP for almost an average of five hundred patients per day. Therefore it is necessary to calculate the work time needed to complete the SEP. One way to measure how much work time is needed by an operator in making an SEP is to calculate the cycle time of the SEP manufacturing process. Cycle time is one way to find out the operator's working time in the technique of measuring work time. Measurements were made directly using stop-hours. The measurement was repeated three times with 10 observations for each operator. The measurement results show that the operator can complete SEP within the normal timeframe of around 50 to 70 seconds per patient.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) currently uses a lot of coal-based power plants or Steam Power Plants (PLTU) in carrying out its operational activities. Aceh Province has a PLTU located in Nagan Raya Regency and is owned by PT. PLN (Persero). The Nagan Raya power plant has two generating units with an installed capacity of 2x110 Megawatts. The highest frequency of interference or damage experienced by the boiler section and this is very influential on the Nagan Raya PLTU production system. Performance evaluation in terms of reliability is needed to minimize interference or damage. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of reliability using Monte Carlo simulations on each important component of the boiler section. Monte Carlo simulations will be used to predict the time between failure or time to failure (TTF) and time to repair (TTR) so that the level of reliability can be predicted in the future. Monte Carlo simulations basically produce uniformly distributed random numbers (0.1) and then convert them into non-uniform distributions using the inverse transformation method. Monte Carlo simulation results on eight critical components in the boiler section obtained time to failure (TTF) obtained were 260 hours to 1312 hours with a reliability value of 30% to 42%. While the time to repair (TTR) is 1,57 hours to 2,26 hours with a reliability value of 22% to 41%.

One of them is the obstacle of late project completion time. Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) is a network model that is able to map the time of completion of activities. PERT is very useful for managing a project because it provides information relating to the completion of a project. The use of PERT method in this study provides the results of the completion time of type 72-storey residential building project based on a critical trajectory of 114 days. Through a statistical approach and assuming the completion of a normally distributed project the realistic time span of completion of the project is between 114 days to 124 days. While the probability of completion of the project during the time frame is between 50% to 99.9%.
