Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of NPK Yaramila application frequency and plant spacing on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum Melongena L) and the real or not the interaction between the two factors. The experimental design used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RAK) 3 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications, there were 2 Factors studied were: first factor of NPK Yaramila (F) fertilization frequency with 3 levels ie 1, 2 and 3 times giving. The second factor of plant spacing (J) consists of 3 levels, namely: 60 x 60 cm, 60 x 70 cm, and 60 x 80 cm. Observation parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of fruit crop, fruit weight, and fruit diameter. This research was conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty of Malikul Saleh Lhokseumawe University from May to July 2016. The results showed that the frequency of fertilization NPK yaramila significantly affect the plant height aged 15, 30 and 45 HST, stem diameter aged 15 and 30 HST, the number of fruit sample size, fruit weight, fruit diameter but no significant effect on stem diameter of age 45 HST. Planting rate has significant effect on plant height of 45 HST, stem diameter of 30 HST, number of sample crop, fruit weight, fruit diameter but no significant effect against plant height aged 15 and 30 HST, stem diameter aged 15 and 45 HST. Abstract

The aim of this research is to get the appropriate dosage of NPK fertilizer and guano fertilizer and also to find out whether there is interaction between NPK fertilizer and guano fertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean crop. Implementation of the research was conducted in the experimental garden of Abulyatama University. Starting on March 8, 2017 until June 8, 2017. The design used is Group Random Design (RAK) with 3x3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. Factors studied are: a. NPK factor consisting of 3 levels: P0 (control), P1 (77 g / plot), P2 (84.7 g / plot). b: The factors studied were guano fertilizer consisting of 3 levels, namely: G0 (control), G1 (3.6 kg / plot), G2 (4.62 kg / plot). The observed parameters were plant height, number of pods, weight of pod perplot and weight of 100 seed of perplot. The results showed that NPK fertilizer treatment had no effect on all observations. While the treatment of guano fertilizer had a very significant effect on the number of pods per plant but no effect on plant height, weight of seed plot and weight of 100 seeds perplot. There is a significant interaction in the number of planting pods and the weight of 100 seeds perplot. Keywords: guano, NPK

Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of green beans to various concentrations of the hormone GA3 and the dosage of NPK fertilizer and the real or not the interaction of both factors. The experimental experiments used in the study were Randomized Block Design (RAK) 3 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The factors studied include the concentration of gibberellin (G) consisting of 3 levels, namely: 50 ppm (0.05 ml / liter), 100 ppm (0.10 ml / liter) and 150 ppm (0.15 ml / liter). The compound dose of NPK compound fertilizer consisted of 3 levels: 250 kg ha-1 (1.50 g / polybag), 300 kg ha-1 (1.80 g / polybag) and 350 kg ha-1 (2.19 g / polybags). The experiment was conducted in Experimental Garden of West Aceh Food and West Aceh crops, from October to January 2016. The results showed that gibberellin concentration significantly affected the number of productive branches of 56 HST and no significant effect on plant height and stem base diameter 18, 25, 32 and 39 HST, number of pods and dry seed weight aged 56, 59 and 63 HST and weight of 100 dry beans. The dosage of NPK fertilizer had significant effect on plant height and stem diameter of 32 and 39 HST, dry seed weight and no significant effect on plant height and stem diameter of 18 and 25 HST, number of productive branches 56 DAP, number of pods age 56, 59 and 63 DAP and weighing 100 dry seeds. Keywords: hormone Giberelin GA3, NPK fertilizer, green bean plant

Abstract

This research is conducted with the aim of knowing the influence of concentration and duration of Rootone F optimum for the production of seed / patchouli. The research was conducted at Experimental Garden (KP) of Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University. The experimental design used Randomized Block Design (RAK) 5 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The factors studied were rootone F concentration factor and length of soaking cuttings. Thus obtained 16 treatment combinations and overall there are 48 units of experimental unit, where each experimental unit consists of 3 plants, so that numbered 144 plants. Planting media used in this study is top soil soil that has been dried anginkan, manure that has been destroyed first, then sifted then sieves mixed evenly with a ratio of 3: 1 ie 3 parts of soil and 1 part manure then inserted in polybag with weight 3 kg polybag-1, with amount of polybag provided is 162 polybag. Type of ZPT used was rootone-F with concentration of 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm, 200 ppm, 250 ppm according to treatment. The type of solvent used is aquades. Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the effect of dosage of guano and biochar fertilizer on the production and absorption of N, P and K nutrients. The implementation of the research was done in Laboratory of Kasa Faculty of Agriculture, University of Abulyatama, Aceh Besar and analysis of N, P and K absorption of rice plant was carried out in Laboratory Soil Chemistry University Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh. This study used a Completely Randomized Design Plan (RAL) with three replications. The treatment consisted of dosage of Guano fertilizer 4 levels (0 kg / ha, 5 tons / ha, 10 tons / ha and 15 tons / ha and Biochar 3 levels (0 tons / ha, 5 tons / ha and 10 tons / ha). was done on plant height, number of tiller, dry weight, weight of grain per plant, weight of 1000 grain, empty grain weight and nutrient uptake of N, P and K. The dosage of Guano (G) fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height and number of tillers aged 15 HST, significant effect on plant height of 60 HST and significant effect on plant height age 30 and 45 HST, number of tillers 30, 45 and 60 HST and weight of grain per plant Biochar dose very significant effect on plant height and number of tillers aged 15 HST, significantly affected the age of 60 HST and had no significant effect on plant height aged 30 and 45 HST, number of tillers 30, 45 and 60 HST and weight of grain per plant There was a significant interaction between the dosage of Guano and Biochar fertilizer on the number of tillers 60 HST. Keywords: guano, biochar, nutrient uptake

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dosage of manure and the number of seeds per planting hole on the growth and yield of organic rice crops and the real or not the interaction of these two factors. The experimental design to be used in this research is Split Plot 4 x 3, with 3 replications. Factor dose of manure (D) as main plot consist of 4 level, that is: 0 ton ha-1 (control), 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1 and 15 ton ha-1. Factor Number of Seedlings per Planting Hole (B) as subplot consists of 3 levels, namely: 1 Seeds per planting hole, 2 Seeds per planting hole and 3 Seeds per hole The study was conducted in Suka Makmue district, Nagan Raya District, Aceh Province. Starting from March to July 2016. The result of dose of manure has a very significant effect on the number of panicles, the effect is not significant on the length of panicle, the percentage of unhulled grain, the percentage of unhulled grain, the weight of 1000 grains, the weight of Grain Contains Per Rumpun and production per hectare. The number of seedlings on cultivation has a significant effect on the number of panicles, panicle length, percentage of unhulled grain, percentage of unhulled grain, weight of 1000 grains, the grain weight and production per hectare. Keywords : Organic Fertilizer, number of seeds per planting hole, rice production

Abstract

Root-knot Nematode (Meloidogyne sp.) is one of plant-parasitic nematode causing a serious damage of coffee. The spread of this parasites occurs through the distribution the number of eggs on the plantation, while the process of infection in plants is acted by juvenile 2. Therefore, to solve this problem, several effort to decrease the infesting nematodes are needed. This may be done by using natural enemy that can suppress and control eggs and juvenile 2. The objective of this research was to determine the potency of pathogenicity of actinomycetes toward Meloidogyne eggs and juvenile 2. A total of 39 actinomycetes isolates were obtained from rhizosphere soil of coffee plantation from PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII, Bondowoso, East Java. The result of in vitro pathogencity screening showed that there are 5 isolates (P2A01, K1B1, P4A04, H106 and H203) than had the potency in controlling eggs and juvenile 2. Then, crude extract of the isolates tested on mature and immature eggs. The result showed that isolates H106 and P2A01 were able to control Meloidogyne by triggering immature egg hatching and increase juvenile mortality. While isolates P4A04, K1B1 and H203 could decrease the percentage of egg hatching as well as increase juvenile mortality. Keywords: Actinomycetes, Meloidogyne sp., Pathogenicity, Egg, Juvenile 2

Abstract

The availability of water is an important factor that greatly affects the growth and yield at the onions. The objective of this research was to study the growth content of three cultivars of onions (Allium cepa L.) on different water availability condition. This research was conducted in the Sawit Sari Greenhouse, Laboratory of Plant Physiology Faculty of Biology and the Laboratory of Chemistry, Faculty of MIPA, University Gadjah Mada in September-December 2015. The design used in this experiment was a Complete Random Design (CRD) with two factors, cultivar and frequency of watering. The cultivars used were Biru Lancor (V1), Crok Kuning (V2), Tiron (V3) using differences watering frequency: 2 times daily watering (P1), once a day watering (P2), once a watering in 2 days (P3), once a watering in 3 days (P4). Each treatment combination was done with 5 replication. Water treatment was done in second week until eight week after planting. The observed parameters included leaves length, number and fresh weight of the leaves, the length and weight of roots, fresh weight and dry weight of tubers which measured by digital scales and tape measure. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variant (ANOVA). The results showed the differences in frequency of watering influences the growth, and yield content of three cultivars of onions. Leaves length, fresh weight, and number of leaves decreased with the reduction of the frequency of watering. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of plant spacing and proper organic fertilizer on the growth and production of sweet corn and the interaction between the two factors. The research method used in this research is Randomized Block Design (RBD) 3 x 3 factorial pattern with three replications. Factors studied include plant spacing and dosage of organic fertilizer. Factors studied include plant spacing with 3 levels ie 50 x 20 cm (J1), 70 x 20 cm (J2), and 90 x 20 cm (J3). The dosage factor of organic fertilizer consisting of 3 levels is 10 tons ha-1 (P1), 20 tons ha-1 (P2) and 30 tons ha-1 (P3). The results showed that plant spacing had significant effect on plant height 15, 30 and 45 DAP, cob weight without weight and production of ha-1 but not significant effect on leaf age 15, 30 and 45 DAP, length of cob and diameter of cob. The results showed that organic fertilizer had very significant effect on plant height aged 30 and 45 DAP, cob weight without weight and production of ha-1 and significant effect on plant height of 15 DAP but no significant effect on the number of leaves aged 15, 30 and 45 DAP , length of cob and diameter of cob without weight. There was no interaction between plant spacing and organic fertilizer on all growth variables and sweet corn yields observed. Keywords: plant spacing, organic fertilizer, sweet corn

Abstract

Identification of endophytic fungi from sugarcane as biocontrol agents  to control bacterial vascular (Xanthomonas albilineans) on sugarcane. This research aims to identification endophytic fungi to against X. albilineans on sugarcane. The research was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Agroecotechnology Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan from May to August 2013. The results showed all the endophytic fungi used (Penicillium sp.,Curvularia sp., Aspergillus sp., Fusarium sp., Cephalosporium sp.,) potential as biological agents to control bacterial vascular wilt on sugarcane.
