Abstract

Some high yielding varieties of corn that has been released has wide adaptability, but the specific agro-ecological conditions are still required testing to see the response of plants to the specific agroecological conditions. Assessment conducted Farming Group Sawah Datar, Talaga Kulon Village, Sub District Talaga, District Majalengka the Month fromJune to September, 2014.Implementation of activities involving farmers as implementing activities. Treatment with implementing the technology components Integrated Crop Management (ICM) and non ICM. Objective assessment to determine the adaptation of several new varieties of hybrid maize in the local area conditions (location specific) by applying the Integrated Crop Management technology components that can improve theproductivity of maize.Observed data are agronomic data (plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter at the age of 30, 60 and 90 days after planting, flowering time of 50%, the number of cobs per plant, ear length (cm), diameter of cob, grain weight per ear (g) , 100 grain weight (g), cob weight (g), dry seed weight (t ha-1), weight stover (t ha), corn cob weight (t ha-1)), farming and supporting data (characteristics region and precipitation during the assessment).The performance of agronomic data were analyzed using t-test using SPSS for Windows 20.0 and the data were analyzed using a corn farm financial analysis and feasibility analysis of farming (R/C). The study showed that the productivity of hybrid corn varieties Bima-18 by applying the technology component Integrated CropManagement highest maize (9.24 t ha-1) than the Bima-19 (6.17 t ha-1) and the Bima-20 (7.05 t ha-1) that is suitable to be developed in the region Majalengka. The results of the analysis of the implementation of the components of PTT corn farming in hybrid corn varieties Bima-18 gives the value of R/C of 3.01. Keywords: adaptation, corn, hybrid corn varieties, Integrated Crop Management

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess effects of nitrogen fertilizer doses and local Aceh rice varieties on growth, nutrient uptake and efficiency uptake of nitrogen. Experiment was conducted in Aneuk Glee Village, Indrapuri Sub District, Aceh Besar District. Nitrogen uptake analysis was conducted at Laboratory of Soil Research Center, Bogor. Experimental design used was a split plot design with three replications. Factors evaluated consisted of nitrogen fertilizer doses (0 kg ha-1, 90 kg ha-1 and 180 kg ha-1) as main plots and varieties (20 varieties) as subplot. Data were collected for plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight biomass, dry weight biomass, nutrient uptake and nitrogen uptake efficiency. Results showed that nitrogen fertilizer dose exerted highly significant effects on plant height at ages 35 and 49 days after transplanting (DAT), number of tillers at ages 10, 20 and 30 DAT and significant effects on plant height age 21 DAT, fresh and dry weight biomass and nitrogen uptake efficiency. Varieties exerted a highly significant effect on plant height at age 35 DAT and significant effects on fresh and dry weight biomass. Abstract

The potential to increase rice production can be improved through the application of new innovation, one of them using the system Legowo row planting and use of organic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of planting system legowo and organic fertilizers on the growth and production of local rice crops Aceh Accession real Sigupai and whether the interaction of both factors. This study uses split plot design, with three replications, where subplots nested within the main plot. Subplot consisted of three (3) the standard treatment Legowo planting system (S), namely: S1 = Cropping systems Legowo 2: 1, S2 = System Legowo planting 3: 1, S3 = Cropping systems Legowo 4: 1. While the main plot consists of three (3) the standard treatment of organic fertilizers (P) ie: P1 = 5 ton ha -1, P2 = 10 ton ha -1, P3 = 15 ton ha -1. The results showed that planting system legowo not affect the growth of the rice plant, but affect the results of rice. The highest yield obtained in planting system Legowo 4: 1 and legowo 2: 1 which is significantly different from the System Legowo 3: 1. Organic fertilizer had no effect on the growth and yield of rice plants. Abstract

Identification of endophytic fungi from sugarcane as biocontrol agents  to control bacterial vascular (Xanthomonas albilineans) on sugarcane. This research aims to identification endophytic fungi to against X. albilineans on sugarcane. The research was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Agroecotechnology Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan from May to August 2013. The results showed all the endophytic fungi used (Penicillium sp.,Curvularia sp., Aspergillus sp., Fusarium sp., Cephalosporium sp.,) potential as biological agents to control bacterial vascular wilt on sugarcane. Abstract

Oil palm plants are a type of plant that undergoes pollination through the mediation of polinator agents because of the position of male flowers and female flowers in separate flowers. Elaeidobius kamerunicus is an effective insect for oil palm plants. This research was carried out on oil palm plantations of PT. Karya Tanah Subur (PT. KTS) of West Aceh Regency. This research was conducted from February to March 2018. The collection of insect samples using the Purpose Sample method (sample determined), which uses 4 blocks of plants with different age groups of 4,5,6 and 7 years. Each age group on each block uses 6 sample plants. The parameters of this research is abundance of pollinator insects. The results show the abundance of pollinator insects not influenced by plant age and altitude, but are influenced by the time of sampling. Domination index of palm oil pollinator insect simpons at PT. Karya Tanah Subur (KTS) is worth 0.9280 which means high evenness. The abundance of oil palm pollinators affects the average production of oil palm at PT. Karya Tanah Subur (KTS)

Abstract

Salah satu teknis budidaya yang mendasar untuk peningkatan produksi adalah penggunaan benih bermutu tinggi yang memiliki viabilitas dan vigor yang tinggi. Akan tetapi penentuan viabilitas dan vigor lot benih mengalami kesulitan karena pada umumnya pengujian vigor dilakukan dengan menggunakan benih yang berbeda dengan benih yang ditanam. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat potensi penggunaan gambar dua dimensi untuk penentuan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan benih kedelai selama proses perkecambahan, serta mengukur pertambahan bobot kering komponen kecambah (tajuk dan akar) selama perkembangan kecambah. Pengecambahan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode top of paper menggunakan kaca sebagai wadah dan kertas tisu sebagai media pengecambahan. Hasil percobaan memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan kertas tisu sebagai media pengecambahan memiliki kendala tersendiri dimana akar tanaman dapat menembus permukaan tisu sehingga pengukuran keseluruhan luas permukaan akar secara relatif lebih sulit untuk dilakukan. Meski demikian, penentuan luas permukaan akar dan luas permukaan tajuk dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan gambar dua dimensi, demikian juga halnya dengan bobot massa kering kedua komponen kecambah tersebut.

Abstract

Tanaman Selada merupakan salah satu komoditi hortikultural yang memiliki nilai komersial yang cukup baik. Semakin bertambahnya jumlah penduduk indonesia serta meningkatnya kesejahteraan dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kebutuhan gizi, menyebabkan bertambahnya permintaan akan sayuran di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis media tanam serta dosis pupuk NPK yang tepat, untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil selada yang optimum sehingga dapat menjadi informasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Teuku Umar, Meulaboh Aceh Barat dari bulan November 2019 sampai dengan Januari 2020. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan persemaian, persiapan media tanam, penanaman, pemupukan, pemeliharaan dan panen. Variabel pengamatan : Tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun umur 14,21, dan 28 HST. Berat segar tanaman dan berat segar akar. Hasil penelitian Jenis media menunjukan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat segar tanaman dan berat segar akar tanaman terbaik dijumpai pada tanah Aluvial. Sedangkan Dosis pupuk NPK menunjukan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat segar tanaman dan berat segar akar tanaman terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan N3 (NPK 2,25 g/polibag).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietaskedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) terhadap pemberian dosis bokasi ampas tebu, yang dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Universitas Teuku Umar, mulai dari Juli sampai September 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Varietas (V) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : V1= Varietas dena 1, V2= Varietas devon 1, V3=Varietas grobongan. Faktot kedua adalah dosis bokasi ampas tebu (D) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu :D0=0 kg/ha, D1= 1 kg/ha, D2= 2 kg/ha, dan D3= 3 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian uji F pada analisis ragam menunjukkan varietas kedelai berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 14, 21, dan 28 HST, jumlah duan 28 dan 35 HST, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 35 HST, jumlah daun 14, 21 HST, serta berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter lainnya. Pemberian dosis pupuk bokasi ampas tebu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 14, 21 dan 35 HST, jumlah daun pada 21 dan 28 HST, bobot kering per tanaman. Berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 28 HST, bobot kering pertanaman, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada 14 dan 35 HST, jumlah polong berisi, berat biji kering, dan produksi per hektar, secara interaksi maka varietas dan dosis pupuk bokasi ampas tebu berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada umur 14, 21, 28 dan 35 HST.

Abstract

Shade is one of the obstaclesin the cultivation of soybean crops in intercroppingsystems. This study aims to determine the change in the characters of agronomic and morpho-physiological leaves of soybean plants due to shade. This research was conducted at the experimental farm of Agriculture Faculty, Teuku Umar University Meulaboh in West Aceh, from August to November 2013. This study uses split plot design with three replications where separated sub plot (vareities: Anjasmoro, Kipas Merah Bireun, Grobogan, Burangrang, Sinabung, Kaba) nested in the mainplot (shade: without shade, 25% and 50% shade). The results showed that the shade and varieties very significant effected on changes in production characters except 100-seed weight. While the interaction shade and varieties very significant effect on changes in production characters except variables 100-seed weight.
