Abstract

Studies on religiosity, especially related to creativity, are still very limited. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of individual religiosity and transformational leadership as factors that increase employee creativity. The population of this research is company employees who are alumni of five private universities in Jakarta. A sample of 103 respondents was collected and given a questionnaire to collect data. The use of analysis techniques with macroprocess is an option in hypothesis testing. All hypotheses in this study were accepted with data support. The higher the employee's religiosity and the more transformational the leader, the higher the employee's creativity. The more transformational the leader, the stronger the effect of religiosity on employee creativity. Suggestions for practitioners should implement programs that are able to increase the religious level of employees and leaders with a transformational style.

Abstract

This study attempts to uncover the influence of Islamic work ethic (IWE) on employee voice, which has never been explored before. The model was developed by placing IWE as an antecedent of voice behavior, and affective commitment was tested as a mediator. Data were collected using a purposive sample of 100 respondents, and PLS-SEM analyzed the data. The analysis results show that IWE positively and significantly impacts affective commitment and employee voice behavior. Affective commitment is positively related to voice behavior and may mediate the relationship between IWE and voice behavior. The results of this study are preliminary, so further research is needed to retest the resulting model.

Abstract

Highlighting community empowerment programs, this paper aims to develop a concept of a sustainable social business model based on sacrificial ritual activities, based on a case study of the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program of Dompet Dhuafa Republika (DDR). Survey data from interviews with 120 THK partner beef cattle farmers outside Java and observations in the implementation of the THK program along the supply chain in 2020 are presented descriptively and qualitatively, then analyzed to get a better concept formulation. The results of this research are expected to provide solutions to various problems in the implementation of Qurbani to have a positive influence, both in the form of profits and or benefits to all stakeholders (farmers, farmer groups, capital owners, DDR, marketing partners, and beneficiaries of qurbani meat) involved in the program flow. In broader practice, the program flow is worth considering in similar programs at other institutions or in a more extensive scope (country). This paper contributes by filling a gap in the supply chain management literature, where empirical studies on programs to improve the welfare of marginalized communities associated with sacrificial rituals. Empowering farmers by involving stakeholders in the supply chain from upstream to downstream, which benefits all parties involved, is feasible for business sustainability
