Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine how the implementation of the teaching of history in schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) MAN 1 and 4 of Pekanbaru. The research method used in this study is amixed methodology. Mixed methods produce more comprehensive facts in researching research problems, because this researcher has the freedom to use all data collection tools according to the type of data needed. The analysis technique uses a qualitative data analysis approach carried out interactively and continues continuously until completion. Activities in this data analysis include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of this study using the EKOP model on (1) Evaluation of the quality of learning among Teachers in the Classroom Performance is already good with maximum score results above 80.00%, Learning Facilities are quite above 60.00%, Class climate is enough above 60.00%, Learning Attitudes are quite good above 70.00%, and (5) Student learning motivation in student learning is quite good above 70.00%. Furthermore, the evaluation of learning outputs in terms of academic skills, which are taken from the results of formative and summative tests in both madrasas are also quite good. The average score raport of the Mapel History in MAN 1 was 84.34, while in MAN 4 Pekanbaru City it was 82.08. Thus it can be concluded that the evaluation of history learning programs in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) in Pekanbaru City by using the EKOP learning model is very effective for evaluation of learning in schools.

Abstract

Social Science lessons that have been in the school curriculum only exemplify and discuss material globally or nationally. And students pay less attention and are less interested because the scope is not in their environment. From these problems, in the social studies curriculum it is necessary to add local historical material related to the local culture. Which in this case is the national material on Islamic material in Indonesia and its cultural results, the example of that culture can be exemplified is Grebeg Suro Jipang. It is expected that from studying this material, students know the benefits of learning to preserve and can benefit from learning, at least from the meaning of the grebeg, the attitude that can be learned is social attitudes such as mutual cooperation, cooperation, and sharing with others. Nor do spiritual attitudes like gratitude.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine how teachers can use the Jami 'Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque as a source of learning history. The research method used qualitative research with the form of descriptive analysis. This research was do at SMAN 5, SMAN 6 and SMAN 9 Pontianak. Data collection techniques in this research used indepth interviews, observation and recording of documents and archives. The data analysis technique used data reduction, data presentation and conclusions withdrawal and verification. The research result shows (1) the advantage of the Jami 'Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque as a learning resource was carried out in various ways of planning, one of which was to first analyze learning resources that were in accordance with Basic Competencies (KD) and learning objectives, then design materials and modify them according to needs. ; then explaining it to the school in order to get a response and permission to be implemented. (2) The way history teachers at SMAN 5, SMAN 6 and SMAN 9 Pontianak City use the Jami 'Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque as a learning resource is inviting students to research the mosque, telling local stories about mosque as a historical heritage or Islamic history in Pontianak, asking students who have been go to the Jami 'Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque to tell how the mosque looks like and attach videos or pictures of the Jami' Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman Mosque. Learning evaluation was carried out in several ways including giving essays togroup assignments, combining it with the make a match learning model and making observations. (3) There are several obstacles and solutions made by history teachers so that the use of the Jami 'Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman mosque can be considered effective in achieving learning objectives.

Abstract

Abstrak: Keberagaman yang terintegrasi dalam bingkai Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia merupakan suatu hal yang harus menjadi fokus pengamatan dalam konteks pendidikan hari ini. Mengingat negara ini adalah negara yang dihuni oleh berbagai macam suku bangsa, ras dan agama, sedikit banyak menjadi salah satu faktor terjadinya konflik yang berbau SARA, seolah-olah mencederai toleransi atas keberagaman dan perbedaan itu sendiri. Maka pendidikan harus hadir dalam bingkai yang baru untuk mengakomodir pikiran dan pemahaman tentang keberagaman untuk kemudian dapat diajarkan kepada masyarakat. Pendidikan multikultural dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengkampanyekan dan membelajarkan keberagaman dalam kerangka pemikiran dan praktik yang lebih konkrit, dengan memberikan pemahaman tentang bagaimana menjalani kehidupan di tengah lingkungan masyarakat yang serba beragam.

Abstract

Waters as rain, rivers, and seas are one the most common feature found upon Southeast Asian region. It has been establishing this region significantly distinctive along with others. Water is such profound thing everywhere, but it helds most importantly in Southeast Asia Maritime region, with its long shorelines in relation to it landmass, and with the enormous expanses of surrounding Island of Southeast Asia and abutting the shores of Mainland Southeast Asia. Waters in form such rain, rivers, and seas undoubtly giving a certain pattern of social and economical circumstance towards society. Java was known as the biggest rice producer until 19th century, especially manufactured among Javanese kingdoms. Rice had been the trademark of exchange in Java that was contributed across the land overtime. Here, wet rice cultivation has been a typical technique engaged in Java and remains until presents. This article discusses the water impact towards rice trade in Java during 14th century.

Abstract

Pembelajaran-berbasis dokumen harus menjadi alternatif pembelajaran Mata pelajaran Sejarah. Prasasti sebagai dokumen sangat menantang untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran. Dengan mempelajari dokumen sejarah, dalam hal ini adalah prasasti, siswa akan terfasilitasi untuk mengembangkan keterampilan pemikiran historis, untuk melakukan inkuiri sejarah, dan untuk melakukan pembelajaran autentik. Lalu bagaimanakah pembelajaran-berbasis dokumen yang berupa kerja heuristik ini dilakukan? Tulisan ini akan menyajikan potret langkah-langkah heuristic tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of developing the Pontianak Heritage application as an Android-based historical learning media that is able to display the location of cultural heritage, descriptions, and images and Knowing how the quality of applications developed is based on ISO / IEC 25010 software quality testing standards. R&D). Research and development is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve existing products and can be accounted for. The results of this research that this research produces Pontianak Heritage application called Historoid as a history learning media for high school students who are able to display the location of cultural heritage in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, descriptions and images developed on the Android platform using Google Maps technology. The tool used in the application development process is Android Studio and the results of the Historoid application quality analysis results in functional suitability test results are very feasible because all application functions are running 100%.

Abstract

Sidoarjo is an important city in East Java and it has several city parks with unique features and values. This article aims to elaborate the educational values of a city park in Sidoarjo. The data were collected trough review of literature and observation. Among several city parks in Sidoarjo, this article focus on the Alun-alun  (city square) with Jayandaru Monument as its unique feature. The finding suggested that the city park in Sidoarjo has several educational values: (1) cultural values, (2) identity value, (3) sense of pride, (4) love to the city, (5) diversity and (6) tolerance.
