Abstract

Clean and healthy living behaviors should be implemented early on as a starting point for the formation of healthy behaviors. The problem of lack of clean and healthy living behaviors was a major problem in school-aged children so that motivates writers to increase clean and healthy living behaviors. Clean and healthy living behaviors simulation was an interactive and innovative method of health education for school-aged children. The practice method used case study for four weeks. The activity was attended by 64 students by involving teachers and school health cadres.The results of the activities showed that the intervention of clean and healthy living behaviors simulation was able to increase the knowledge of school-age children from 49.3% to 64.5%, the attitude of school-age children increased from 41.8% to 58.7%, and school-age children's skills increased from 40.3% to 55.1%. Clean and healthy living behaviors simulation intervention can be used for nurses to develop promotive and preventive efforts in improving clean and healthy living behaviors among school-aged children. Keywords: clean and healthy living behaviors, practised simulation, school aged children

Abstract

A Research on efforts to raise awareness of fishing communities towards endemic fish of the Serayu Uceng River (Nemachilus fasciatus C.V.) as well as the rule of law regarding destructive fishing has been carried out at the Banyumas District Fisheries Office. The purpose of this research is to make the community aware of the sustainability of uceng fish resources. The research was conducted through a material transfer method for 30 people from the environmentally responsible anglers community and 10 village heads in the Banyumas Regency. The results showed that there were 3 people who did not yet know the rule of law regarding destructive fishing (93.33%). The results of the study also recommend the importance of forming a Community Watch Group (POKMASWAS) in monitoring destructive fishing in the Serayu River. Efforts to continuously monitor fisheries resources can create sustainable fisheries resources.Keywords: uceng fish, Serayu river, destructive fishing, community watch group

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat edukasi deteksi dini radikalisme bagi santri di Pondok Pesantren Darul Abror Purwokerto bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan para santri mengenai radikalisme dan bagaimana melakukan deteksi dini radikalisme pada level individu maupun kelompok. Kegiatan dilakukan sebanyak 8 (delapan) sesi dengan melibatkan 50 (lima puluh) peserta. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan materi menggunakan metode pendidikan partisipatif yang melibatkan peserta dan pemateri secara aktif.  Jenis kegiatan yang dilakukan antara lain berupa (1) Pemberian materi edukasi, (2) Diskusi, dan (3) Pra Test dan Post Test untuk membandingkan pemahaman dan pola pikir peserta antara sebelum dan sesudah diberi edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman dan pola pikir peserta mengenai radikalisme dan deteksi dini radikalisme.

Abstract

The development of public awareness of food safety has led to the  demands from people who want more natural food.  these conditions provide new opportunities to develop and produce natural preservatives plants namely kecombrang.  This campus intellectual product development business program (PPUPIK) aims to increase the production of quality natural preservatives made from kecombrang fruit in order to support food security.  the method used is the prototype dryer application so it is ready for commercial use.  PPUPIK activities can produce natural preservatives made from kecombrang fruit with consistent quality, increased production capacity and increase the efficiency of raw materials.Keywords: nature preservative, cabinet dryer, kecombrang fruit

Abstract

Patemon Village is located in the District of Bojongsari, Purbalingga Regency, approximately 17 Km from the General Soedirman University Campus with a total of 528 Family Heads and a population of 4350 people. The livelihoods of the population are mostly farmers. Agricultural potential of Patemon Village, Bojongsari Subdistrict includes: rice, corn, soybeans and cassava. The area of paddy fields in this village reaches 128,000 ha but unfortunately its productivity is still relatively low. This is because farmers are still implementing conventional cultivation systems and lack of knowledge about integrated crop management. This activity aims to provide knowledge and examples of alternative rice cultivation methods, namely rice farming using the SRI (System of Rice Intensification) method with the application of straw compost and vegetable pesticides. This activity involved the target audience, namely the "Warakan Tani" farmer group in Patemon Village, Bojongsari District and agricultural instructors in Bojongsari sub-district. The methods used in this activity are: 1. Direct extension activities to farmer groups 2. Direct practice / rice cultivation demonstration plot using SRI (System of Rice Intensification) method or making demonstration plots. The evaluation design is in the form of providing pre-test before the extension activity begins and post-test after the extension activity begins, this is intended to determine the extent of farmers' understanding of the SRI method.

Abstract

Masalah gizi pada bayi muncul diakibatkan kurangnya pengetahuan ibu terkait pemberian makan bayi bawah dua tahun (Baduta). Kader posyandu merupakan kerabat dekat ibu baduta sehingga kader dapat menjangkau ibu baduta di wilayahnya. Selain itu kader merupakan kelompok pendidik sebaya yang potensial dalam upaya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu baduta. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali para kader dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap pemberian makan bayi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan disertai simulasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Paired T-test. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan kader dari 15.71±1.7 menjadi 16.33±1.7 setelah pelatihan. Pelatihan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan responden terkait pemberian makan pada baduta.  Kata-kata kunci: Baduta, pemberian makan baduta, pelatihan, simulasi
