Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunication in this dynamic era makes us to be critical in responding every talkings. Along with taht, the critical manner in communication is needed in almost of all levels, statrs from the intrapersonal level tothe organizational level, as well as on the social field, include in political field such as 2019 Presidential Election and 2019 Presidential Debate. This research?s aims are to analyze the attempt of television station in prioritize neutrality when airing the news about 2019 Presidential Debate also analyzing the citizen?s behaviour and mindset in responding the news about it. This will discuss about the euphoria of 2019 Presidential Debate, how are television stations implementing their neutrality in airing it, how it interpreted into the air with ways of the neutral and the anti-neutral ones, also the citizen?s behaviour and mindsets against the anti-neutral news of it. This qualitative research is using the mixed theories between the social responsiility of media and framing theory to analyze the television?s involvement as political communication media in giving their interpretations about 2019 Presidential Debate to the citizen, whether it is aired wtih the way of prioritize the neutrality or not. The result of this research shows that the implementation of television broadcasting based on the neutrality one with the anti-neutral one can giving the variation of citizen?s mindset so to intepreting those mindsets, deeper and holistic identification is needed to analyze the meaning of those information so can create a good prediction to the citizen for the growth of the country in the next five years.Keywords: Media Neutrality Analysis, Television, 2019 Presidential Debate

Abstract

ABSTRACTWomen's sensuality shows are often presented in films, including Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss Part 1 and 2. The success of 36 Warkop DKI films is assumed to be related to women's sensuality offerings because of the film's uniqueness namely comedy, social political criticism and women beautiful and sexy. After not being produced for a long time, two of the latest films were watched by millions of people to record the best-selling Indonesian film of all time. This study aims to dissect the case of the commodification of female sensuality in the film Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss Part 1 and 2 by exposing what, how and why female sensuality is utilized as a film commodity.The research focuses on the director's side in packaging the film, his goals and opinions on the presence of sexy female characters in the film. The director produces films based on professionalism, which meets the demands of producers to present women's sensuality offerings. With the aim to focus the film on comedy and socio-political criticism, the director also seeks to limit the portion of women's sensuality offerings. However, the director has full authority and awareness in making scenes and shots in the film. Thus, the involvement and contribution of the director in the selection of actresses, costumes and makeup, direction of scenes and shots and packaging of the film Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss Part 1 and 2 is a contribution to the commodification of female sensuality by perpetuating patriarchal ideology.Keywords: film, women, sensuality, comodification, patriarchy

Abstract

ABSTRACT              This research discusses the spread of hoaks on social media through a qualitative descriptive analysis of the Ratna Sarumpaet?s persecution case. Technological developments have brought the major changes in society. People used to get information from the mainstream media but now they can also get information from social media. Social media can be used to spread the news. Social media users not only become distributors of information but simultaneously become producers of information. In addition to disseminating information from online media, users can also create their own information on social media. Social media is the intermediary for the highest spread of hoaks compared to other media. In the case of spread news of Ratna Sarumpaet?s persecution case, social media namely facebook and twitter became the first media that inform this case. The social and political situation also influenced the wider spread of the news. Social media users can immediately spread the information and even reproduce the information without thinking about the aftermath. The people must be aware of the hoax news and must provide preventive steps by checking and rechecking and also filtering information obtained before spreading the news.Keywords: hoaks, social media, fake news, Ratna Sarumpaet

Abstract

ABSTRACT New media is currently used as an alternative to approach consumers and potential customers. Promotional activities are not only carried out conventionally, but maximize the existence of this new media. Digital Marketing is a marketing activity that uses the internet and information technology to expand and enhance the functions of traditional marketing. Social media with all its advantages and disadvantages give a big role in the marketing communication process. This study discusses the strategy of using Instagram as a marketing communication medium carried out by "Dewahoya Coffee and Milk". The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. This study uses in-depth interviews with the owner "Dewahoya Coffee and Milk" as a resource, literature study and documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is known that Instagram utilization planning that has been done is by analyzing the problem, analyzing the audience, setting goals, selecting media and communication channels, and developing plans or activities to achieve the goals. The use of Instagram as a marketing communication medium carried out by "Dewahoya Coffee and Milk" is to utilize the features of photos and videos, comments, caption, location, hashtag and tagging. Evaluation of the use of Instagram is the result of increased sales by attracting more visitors and succeeded in making this place an alternative choice of cool hangouts in Wates City, Kulon Progo Regency.Keywords: Marketing communication, Media Strategy, Instagram, Hangout.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLentera is the  title of a documentary that tells about the children who living with HIV/AIDS. Where these children live in a foundation special for children with HIV/AIDS called Lentera Foundation. This documentary is not only tells about the live of children with HIV/AIDS, but also gives informations to the audience what is HIV/AIDS, HIV transmission, and how to treat HIV. In this documentary the human interest side will be more highlighted. The dramatical visual and storyline making this documentary an interesting movie.The selection theme  about HIV/AIDS is an anti-mainstream and HIV/AIDS also a big issue  in Indonesia nowadays. This issue certainly  will attract the audience to watch this documentary. With the right illustration music and suitable with the visual will more dramatize the scene. Even though use the illustration music, but the sound of ambience still audible. Director is a person who directs a program that is involved in the creative process from pre to post production, both for drama and non drama. Abstract

ABSTRACTRAMBATING SUMBUT, is a feature program explained about the regeneration of farmers. Agricultural sector hold the main role in human living, especially as the supplier of foods and the mover of economic wheels. However, at the present time, agricultural sector is only rest on farmers aged above 45 years old. Feature RAMBATING SUMBUT has message that the key of living is on the agricultural sector. Hence, it is very important for young generations to be taught on how right farming is, even with the advanced technology so they can be promising farmers. Therefore, the agricultural sector will be a promising field for young generations and they will proud of it as the agricultural sector is continuing for generations. In the production of RAMBATING SUMBUT feature, the writer of this study used Cut Think Point Editing which choosing, cutting, and combining shots are not just merely cinematic mechanism technical but also considering the sense. Some things should be noticed before doing cutting shots are the composition, images continuity, and some aspects of combining images (spatial, rhythmic, tempo, and space). Keywords: Cut Think Point, Editing, Feature, Farmers?
