Abstract

AbstractPollution of water quality issues, especially at rivers, became main priority issue in Palembang City, beside pollution of domestic solid waste and solid waste industries which are home industry, middle and big industries, also by domestic and industry water pollutions. The aim of this research to find a level of water pollution and river quality in Palembang City. The method has used to measure Water Pollution Index, with quality standard reference for groundwater is Permenkes No.492 of 2010 and for river water is the Governor Regulation No.582 of 1995. Pollution Index can represent water quality and pollution level of a water body whether polluted Low, Mid, High, or not polluted. The results of the measurement of water quality and analysis of river water pollution index shows that the water quality of the river in the city of Palembang has decreased, namely TDS 20.6 - 198.4 mg / liter (has exceeded the quality of Class I Quality Standards). Palembang at a low level - high. The highest IPA (Water Pollution Index) value is 13.79 (high pollutant) occurring in Aur River in receded condition followed by Musi River with IPA 3.5.Keyword : River, Water Quality, Pollution, IPA. AbstrakIsu pencemaran kualitas perairan terutama sungai menjadi isu prioritas di Kota Palembang, selain pencemaran akibat pembuangan sampah padat rumah tangga dan industri baik industry kecil dan menengah, juga pencemaran air limbah rumah tangga dan industry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencemaran dan kualitas air sungai di Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur Indeks Pencemaran Air adalah sesuai dengan Kep.Men.LH No.115 Tahun 2003 tentang Pedoman Penentuan Status Mutu Air, dengan acuan baku mutu untuk air Tanah adalah Permenkes No.492 Tahun 2010 dan untuk air sungai adalah Peraturan Gubernur No.582 Tahun 1995. Indeks Pencemaran dapat mewakili kualitas air dan tingkat pencemaran suatu badan air apakah tercemar Low, Mid, High, atau tidak tercemar. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air dan analisa indeks pencemaran air sungai menunjukkan kualitas air sungai di Kota Palembang telah mengalami penurunan yaitu TDS 20.6 – 198.4 mg/liter (telah melampaui kualitas Baku Mutu Kelas I) Sementara itu hasil analisa tingkat pencemaran menunjukkan tingkat pencemaran air sungai di Kota Palembang pada tingkat rendah – tinggi. Nilai IPA (Indeks Pencemaran Air) tertinggi yaitu 13.79 (cemar tinggi) terjadi pada Sungai Aur dalam kondisi Surut kemudian disusul Sungai Musi dengan IPA 3.5.Kata kunci : Sungai, Kualitas Air,Pencemaran,  IPA.

Abstract

Economic factors and the increasing number of residents resulted in the availability of land decreases. Communities with middle and upper economic level course will easily find suitable land allotment for a place to stay. While inversely proportional to the lower middle income people who can hardly be said of land - the land they occupy is certainly not in conformity with the allotment of land as a place for living. And usually with a low economic level of the occupancy of the community are far from habitable. Can hardly be said that all parts of Indonesia there are slums, and not least in the area of Breast Putat village Prabumulih. The area is located in the banks of the river should be a green open spaces are just a lot of settlements - settlements that are not habitable building with major construction timber and do not care about good sanitation as if - if mushroomed in the region. See the facts on the ground which does not allow for the relocation of people living in the area at this time to be a challenge to help both the community and the government to give an idea as to what the character of the existing settlements in the Region's Breast Putat. Abstract

In accordance with rapid development  in Banyuasin Regency has effected the increased use of land that is built into residential areas. Land use is unwittingly can affect and disrupt the hydrological cycle which causes a negative impact on the environment. It consequenlly, it reduces soil absorption and causes  excessive surface  run off. Therefore there must be anticipatory steps to reduce rainwater runoff. Infiltration wells can be some to figure out the issue. This research aims to plan the infiltration wells design to reduce rainwater runoff and to know the capacity of drainage channel in Pusri Residence Sembawa Banyuasin. The result of data analysis shows that most of runoff  occur in drainage channel of receiver except in segment of Block A1-A2 and Block D1 - D2 and at collector channel. The largest receiver discharge (Q2) is 0.2378 on block V1 - V2. The results of the infiltration wells design is a circle with a diameter of 1 meter and a depth of 3.5 meters. The debit plan for the 2nd year return period with rain intensity 505,9905 mm / hr is 0,0296 m3 / s, while the discharge of the infiltration wells of each plot is 0,0032 m3 / dt for type 36/84. The rain water discharge of infiltration wells with a duration of 30 minutes and the number of house plots is 0.0253 m3 / s, while the discharge plan on channel A-B is 0.0296 m3 / s. After the use of infiltration wells the, remaining discharge of rain water entering on receiver channel on block A-B equal to 0,0265 m3 / s.Keywords:  Infiltration Wells, Runoff, permeability

Abstract

ABSTRACTSubgrade in some areas of Indonesia has a very low soil bearing capacity. To overcome the problem, ground can be covered by subbase with using Nailed-slab System which is supported by mini concrete pillars. Soil material can be modeled in a pile of aluminum cylinders as a covering layer and a bamboo stick as a subgrade. Plates and pillars which are used in Nailed-slab System are made of fiberglass material with the thickness is 0.5 cm. The length of the plate (B) consists of 4 kinds, while the length of the pillar (L) consists of 3 variations. The numbers of pillar variations in this experiment consists of 1 to 4 pillars with the spacing of inter pillar is (s) = 10 cm. The load placement of the Nailed-slab System is done centrically and edge. The results showed that the installation of the pillar had a major effect in reducing the plate deflection and increasing the value of the soil reaction modulus (k). The number of pillars which are set to 4 are capable of reducing the deflection greater than the fewer set number of  pillars (2 pillars). The minimum deflection occurring on flat ground due to centric loading can be reduced by 11.73%, while in the embankment land is 9.3%. As a result of edge loading, the number of 4 pillars on flat ground is capable of reducing the minimum deflection up to 9.09% more than 2 pillars. In soil embankment due to reduced deflection edge loading up to 7.91% more than 2 pillars. The comparison of the observed deflection was greater than Beam on Elastic Foundation (BoEF) program calculation results.Keywords : Nailed-slab System, subgrade reaction modulus (k), deflection, BoEFABSTRAKTanah dasar di beberapa daerah Indonesia mempunyai kuat dukung tanah yang rendah.Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut maka tanah dasar dapat dihamparkan lapis penutup dan digunakan Sistem Pelat Terpaku yang didukung oleh tiang-tiang beton mini. Material tanah dimodelkan dalam bentuk tumpukan silinder aluminium sebagai lapisan penutup dan lidi bambu sebagai tanah dasar (subgrade).Pelat dan tiang yang digunakan dalam Sistem Pelat Terpaku terbuat dari bahan fiberglass dengan ketebalan bahan yaitu 0,5 cm.Ukuran panjang pelat (B) terdiri dari 4 macam, sedangkan panjang tiang (L) terdiri dari 3 variasi. Variasi jumlah tiang dalam pengujian ini terdiri dari 1 tiang sampai 4 tiang dengan jarak antar tiang (s) = 10 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemasangan tiang memberikan pengaruh yang besar dalam mereduksi defleksi pelat dan meningkatkan nilai modulus reaksi tanah dasar (k). Jumlah tiang 4 mampu mereduksi defleksi lebih besar dari jumlah tiang yang lebih sedikit (2 tiang). Defleksi minimum yang terjadi pada tanah datar akibat pembebanan sentris mampu tereduksi sebesar11,73%,sedangkan pada tanah timbunan sebesar 9,3%. Akibat pembebanan tepi, jumlah 4 tiang di tanah datar mampu mereduksi defleksi minimum sebesar 9,09% dibandingkan dengan 2 tiang. Pada tanah timbunan akibat pembebanan tepi defleksi tereduksi sebesar 7,91% dibandingkan dengan 2 tiang. Perbandingan defleksi hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan lebih besar dibandingkan dengan defleksi hasil analisis perhitungan program BoEF(Beam on Elastic Foundation).Kata kunci :Sistem Pelat Terpaku, modulus reaksi tanahdasar(k), defleksi, BoEF

Abstract

Now days, Indonesia gets much the using of coal as alternative energy  because increased of oil price and increased  demand  in the  country. The expected production of coal in 2010 at about 230  million tons, where  68.5 million tons for local needs (45-46 million tons for electric power plant). Sumatera Selatan province is one of coal resources province in Indonesia and also has electric power plant have to promoted the utilizing of polluted material from electricity power plant. Industry electric coal power plant produced 5% polluted  as fly ash and bottom ash, where 10-20% as bottom ash and as 80-90% fly ash. That polluted  can be utilized as additives material   in soil stabilization for road construction.  This publication proposes an assessment of the utilization of lime, Portland cement (PC), fly ash as stabilizer of soft sub grades material in highway construction. The research conducts various contents of fly ash to different types of clay soils from various sites in Kuantan. The compaction tests and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests were applied in soil samples to estimate the optimum mixture design. The samples were set up by mixing soil samples with various content of fly ash and at optimum water content. The accomplishment of sub-grade stabilization depends on the engineering properties of soils and characteristic of additives. The laboratory result shows that the strength gain in stabilization mainly depends on two factors: additives content and molding water content. The variation content of fly ash and were 4%, 8% and 12% by total weight.Keywords: Sustainable, Engineering Properties of Soil, Soil Stabilization, CBR

Abstract

AbstractOne embodiment of the ethnic culture is the life of the river side, in which there are constituent building elements and local wisdom. Settlements can be categorized as vernacular architectural works in the sense that they are designed, built and used. The water space that was previously so vast, now began to narrow down with the presence of land space. The river experienced a narrowing and even hoarding in several places, which caused a decline in the function of the river for its people. Stage houses or rafts that used to respond to the river now turn to non stage (characterized by land houses). This has the potential to cause loss of local potential and local architectural identity. This study aims to determine the cultural changes living in the riparian community of the Musi Palembang river. In achieving this goal, a study was conducted to identify the architectural footprint, explore activities and ideas of the riparian community of Sumgai Musi. Data collection was carried out through field observations, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. Analysis was carried out qualitatively on variables, process characteristics and products from identification of riverbank settlements. The results with based on the process and product, showed that most of the riverside houses experienced physical changes in the building, both from the function and building materials. Then with the decline of the existence of the river, the community made a new road network and more land land. The study concluded that the cultural change living on the banks of the river was caused by the loss of identity of the riparian settlement of the Musi river.Keywords : Change, Settlement, Riparian, River, Vernacular AbstrakSalah satu perwujudan dari budaya suku bangsa adalah kehidupan bermukim tepi sungai, yang di dalamnya terdapat elemen bangunan penyusunnya serta kearifan. Permukiman dapat dikategorikan sebagai karya arsitektur vernakular yang dalam pengertian didesain, di bangun dan digunakan. Ruang air yang sebelumnya demikian luas, sekarang mulai dipersempit dengan kehadiran ruang daratan. Sungai mengalami penyempitan bahkan penimbunan di beberapa tempat, yang menyebabkan penurunan fungsi sungai bagi masyarakatnya. Rumah-rumah panggung atau rakit yang dahulunya merespon sungai sekarang beralih ke non panggung yang bercirikan rumah darat. Hal ini berpotensi menyebabkan hilangnya potensi lokal dan identitas arsitektur lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan budaya bermukim masyarakat riparian sungai Musi Palembang. Dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilakukan studi untuk mengidentifikasi jejak arsitektur, mengekplorasi aktivitas dan gagasan masyarakat riparian sungai Musi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka. Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif terhadap variabel, karakteristik proses dan produk dari identifikasi permukiman tepi sungai. Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan proses dan produk, menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar rumah tepian sungai mengalami perubahan fisik bangunan, baik dari fungsi maupun material bangunan. Kemudian dengan menurunnya eksistensi sungai membuat masyarakat membuat jaringan jalan baru dan lebih bepola darat. Studi menyimpulkan bahwa perubahan budaya bermukim tepian sungai disebabkan oleh hilangnya identitas permukiman riparian sungai Musi. Kata kunci: Perubahan, Permukiman, Proses-Produk, Riparian, Sungai, Vernakular

Abstract

Residential development in Palembang city is not a simple problem, because residential development need  always grows and population growth increases every year,  but the supply of land for residential development is limited. The research shows that residential developers have noticed the three factors of land provision for residential development. Based on the physical aspect, the wide area of residential is 4 hectare, and land designation status  is garden soil. The easy access and appropriateness  to the RTRW are the considerations of developers for building the residence. Based on the institutional aspect, the status of land rights is property rights by way of purchase. Moreover, land supply through land bank is assessed helping the residential developer. Local governments sometimes help the developers, but the developers have difficulty in particular section permits the acquisition of development principles at a location due to government bureaucracy and complex rule. Based on the economic aspect, land prices are cheap and profitable and they become the reasons for choosing the location of residential developers.  The price of land per meter2 at the time of purchase was relatively high, indicating the residential developers in Palembang city are very effective in raising the economic of land value. Of the three aspects, the economy aspect is prioritized by residential developers, because residential developers as enterpreneurs have an orientation to get the profit.Keywords : Development, Residential Developer

Abstract

Flat rental housing still be used as an alternative to solve the slums, including in coastal areas. This is indicated in the strategic plan of improving the quality of the environment of the slums by the year 2002-2010 by Director General of Housing Settlement and also include in five treatment approaches to solve the slums (UN-HABITAT, 2005). However, after the implementation of flat rental housing, they still have problems unfinished arise as in the Village Jobokuto, Jepara regency. There are still many slums located around rusunawa and directly adjacent to the beach. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence and ability of flat rental housing to handle slums in coastal areas. The research approach using a quantitative approach. The analysis conducted is the analysis of changes in coastal slums, analysis of the physical characteristics and the availability of facilities to support the needs of coastal communities. The analysis tools are descriptive statistics, analysis of the ratio of the average (paired sample t test and Wilcoxon) and the overlay map. The study used a questionnaire in 65 samples, interviews and documentation of the object as the primary instrument of data collection and study of literature and instansional for secondary data collection. The findings obtained indicate that Rusunawa Kyai Mojo in the Village Jobokuto less effect on handling problems, especially in the coastal slum Village Jobokuto. The result is addressed to relevant stakeholders in order to finish the problem of slums.

Abstract

Regency of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) is one of regencies in South Sumatera Province. As newly formed districts cause the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support public needs. This is because the local government is currently more focused on development and infrastructure. As a result of the unavailability of various public facilities in the Pali regency, many activities and events held by local government agencies and private sector should be held in places that are not in accordance with its function, due to the absence of buildings that can accommodate these activities. The development of Pali district into a new district will certainly be a lot of large-scale events to be held in Pali District. The planning of the Convention Center in Pali Regency is planned with the assumption that 10 years ahead the condition of urban infrastructure and economy of Pali regency have progressed, so that there will be more activities in Pali regency, and more and more investors entering Pali regency can become target market for the Convention Center Building.Key words: Public Facilities, events, infrastructure, Convention Center.

Abstract

One function of the retention pond is to replace the role of the farm absorption, which covered land / housing /office space. To accommodate the volume of water runoff from the drainage system in the area of Sematang Borang sunburn the increasingly populous required the construction of a pool of retention. Analysis on the study of economic feasibility analysis method with an indicator of Net Present Value (NPV) of the current benefits and costs, and Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C Ratio) to find out the feasibility of this retention pond construction project. From the results of the analysis note that the results of the Net Present Value (NPV) for the construction of retention ponds of Sematang Borang area is the NPV of Rp,85,-389.098.758 and the Benefit cost ratio (BCR = 1,09) with interest rate (i) 12%.Keywords : feasibility, Net Present Value (NPV), the Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C Ratio).
