Abstract

This research is a library research that aims to describe 3 Islamic boarding schools in East Java with different leadership systems, in terms of how to decide on leadership changes in the pesantren. The pesantren is exactly in Bangil, Pasuruan has a leadership system that is hereditary, modern Islamic boarding school Babussalam Mojokerto village that implements a democratic system and pesantren Wildanusholihin applies in the decisions of the foundation. Leadership is an effort made by a leader together with its members to achieve the goals, vision and mission set in an institution or organization. The figure of the leader in each institution is certainly needed as a motivator or motivator, leader, director and mobilizer of members so that the institution they lead is well implemented. Education in Islamic boarding schools is known and recognized by the community as personality building education by emphasizing Islamic morals as a way of life in society. To achieve the goal of establishing the pesantren, leadership is certainly needed in each pesantren according to the leadership system applied by each. Abstract

Abstract

leadership is a way for someone to lead, there are several things why leaders are needed. First, humans naturally need to be regulated. Secondly in certain conditions a leader needs to appear on behalf of his group. Third, as the holder of responsibility if a problem or risk occurs. Fourth, as the holder and place of power. A leader not only regulates the people who are stagnant and easy to manage but also can control himself to remain productive like humans in general who always obey the ego and win themselves. Islam also discusses leadership, as revealed in the Koran that God created human beings on this earth, one of which is a leader who is able to manage and protect nature well, and does not cause damage. This article is aimed at discovering how leadership is in the perspective of Islamic theology. This article is a research library (library research) with data collection methods sourced from books and journals related to research, by reading, understanding, and analyzing existing research sources. With the results of research that in Islam, leadership is divided into 3 terms, namely the caliph, imamat and imarah. Basically, a leader in Islamic theology is not only a government leader in the state, but also a religious leader, with a ma'sum.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract:Islamic boarding school is one of the forerunners and pillars of education in Indonesia, in addition to general education and madrasa. Islamic education (Islamic boarding school) has begun since Islam entered Indonesia. To advance the islamic boarding school towards the modernization of Islamic education, the role of leadership occupies a very important and fundamental position. The importance of leadership in islamic boarding school is to bring change to Islamic educational institutions (islamic boarding school) on progress. Because the key to success in an Islamic educational institution (islamic boarding school) lies in its leadership. The islamic boarding school has experienced dynamics, so that the islamic boarding school is broadly classified into two namely traditional and modern islamic boarding school. The education system and changing patterns in pesantren are responses to socio-economic changes and modernization of Islamic education to the community. As an educational institution that is well-known among the people, the presence of pesantren is expected to be able to make changes in the community by creating students as people who have leadership, serve the community and noble character. Thus, the existence of pesantren can be recognized and not considered lost in modern times Keywords: islamic boarding school, leadership, traditional and modern, Abstrak: Pesantren merupakan salah satu cikal bakal dan pilar pendidikan di Indonesia, selain pendidikan umum dan madrasah. Pendidikan Islam (pesantren) telah dimulai sejak Islam masuk ke Indonesia untuk memajukan pesantren terhadap modernisasi pendidikan Islam, peran kepemimpinan menempati posisi yang sangat penting dan fundamental. Pentingnya kepemimpinan dalam pesantren yaitu untuk membawa perubahan pada lembaga pendidikan Islam (pesantren) pada kemajuan karena kunci sukses pada suatu lembaga pendidikan Islam (pesantren) terletak pada kepemimpinannya. Pesantren telah mengalami dinamika, sehingga secara garis besar pesantren digolongkan menjadi dua, yaitu pesantren tradisional dan pesantren modern. Sistem pendidikan dan perubahan pola di pesantren merupakan respon terhadap perubahan sosial ekonomi dan modernisasi pendidikan Islam kepada masyarakat. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang terkenal di kalangan masyarakat, kehadiran pesantren diharapkan mampu untuk melakukan perubahan-perubahan di lingkungan masyarakat dengan mewujudkan santri-santri sebagai sosok yang mempunyai jiwa kepemimpinan, mengabdi kepada masyarakat dan akhlak mulia.Sehingga, keberadaan pesantren dapat diakui dan tidak dianggap hilang di zaman modern. Kata Kunci: pesantren, kepemimpinan, tradisional dan modern.

Abstract

Talking about educational leadership in Islam, we can not be separated from the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who is the leader of humanity. Leadership is a strength thath is in a leader who drives a person’n activities to achieve success. While education is a process with certain methods so that people will gain knowledge, understanding, and how to behave in accordance with needs. In the life of Islamic society today many forget and leave the element of educational leadership that was taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW to his people. Because, as a leader thaht is exemplary and can be used as an example for the leadership of its members, the Messenger of Allah is also given four qualities so that it can be an example to his people, namely: Siddiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fathanah. Siddiq which means honest in words and deeds, Amanah which means can be trusted in maintaining responsibility, Tabligh which means conveying all kindness to its members, and Fathanah which means intelligent in managing his leadership.
