Jurnal Penelitian Enjiniring (JPE) merupakan media publikasi ilmiah untuk hasil-hasil inovasi terkini dalam bidang kajian dan rekayasa ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi keteknikan. JPE diterbitkan dalam dua bahasa dunia (bi-lingual), yaitu Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris. Berbagai bidang ilmu yang sangat popular, menarik dan spesifik dalam rumpun ilmu keteknikan seperti Teknik Arsitektur dan Pengembangan Wilayah Kota; Teknik Elektro dan Informatika; Teknik Geologi dan Pertambangan; Teknik Mesin dan Industri; Teknik Perkapalan dan Ilmu Kelautan; serta Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan merupakan disiplin ilmu-disiplin ilmu yang menjadi topik utama dan konsen publikasi JPE. Selain itu bidang-bidang lain yang relevan termasuk diantaranya kajian sosio-ekonomi, kajian aspek keamanan (security) dan kajian aspek kesehatan yang terkait dengan bidang-bidang kajian utama diatas dapat pula diterima manuskrip ilmiahnya untuk dievaluasi nilai orijinalitas, kebaharuan dan kualitasnya oleh Tim Evaluator Ahli. Mulai tahun 2016, JPE-UNHAS terbit secara periodik sebanyak 2 kali dalam setahun, yakni edisi Mei dan edisi November.

Proses pemancangan seringkali mengalami kendala dalam mengantisipasi keberadaan rongga ataupun gua dalam tanah yang akan mempengaruhi kegagalan daya dukung friksi atau bahkan kegagalan daya dukung ujung pada tiang pancang. Komposisi batuan yang berada pada pondasi tiang bor dan tiang pancang yang memiliki karakteristik batuan gamping terumbu yang cenderung porous dan berongga perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Penyelidikan dengan menggunakan geolistrik membantu proses identifikasi secara cepat untuk mengetahui kondisi tanah dan batuan yang berada pada lintasan-lintasan tertentu ada posisi pier dan abutmen yang ditengarai menembus lapisan tanah dan batuan berongga dan dikhawatirkan akan berada di lapisan yang berongga atau goa kapur. Pengujian geolistrik dilakukan dengan menggunakan 3 lintasan pengukuran yang masing-masing berada pada lajur centre line, sisi kiri dan sisi kanan grup tiang. Hasil pengukuran disandingkan dengan hasil pengeboran menunjukkan bahwa posisi rencana tiang pancang berdiri pada lapisan tanah dan batuan yang masif dengan komposisi batuan gamping terumbu berselang-seling dengan rekahan dan rongga, clayshell dan marmer atau batuan intrusi yang keras. Sementara rongga dengan diameter yang lebih besar dan terindikasi sebagai goa juga ditemukan pada beberapa tempat di sekitar rencana penempatan tiang bor/tiang pancang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan serat kawat baja (bendrat) dalam meningkatkan sifat mekanis beton (kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimental yakni uji laboratorium dan analisis data metode komparatif dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan serat dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah beton dari beton normal dengan perawatan basah lebih tinggi daripada perawatan kering. Pada dry curing meningkat pada komposisi 7,5% sebesar 83,71% atau 18,5 MPa (kuat tekan) dan 54,92% atau 2,2 MPa (kuat tarik belah). Dan pada wet curing meningkat sebesar 68,30% atau 24 MPa (kuat tekan) dan 35,38% atau 2,64 MPa (kuat tarik belah) pada komposisi 7,5%.

This research aimed to investigate the ground comfort assessment at the public open space in tourist area of Pangkajene River banks. The research methods used were the qualitative and quantitative method by filling in questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The samples were chosen using the purposive sampling technique from the users of the park. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, codification, data reduction, matriculation, cross tabulation, and the evaluation system using Likert scale. The research results indicated that the park was inconvenience with the parkconvenience being 61.97%. The effect of the street vendors had caused either positive or negative impacts on the park- the positive impact was that the park had become the largest culinary center in Pangkep town so that it could attract the tourists to visit the park, while the negative impact was that the park looked less beautiful and less hygiene. Abstrak Perkembangan peraturan konstruksi tidak lagi mengatur jarak gading. Sehingga para perancang kapal merencanakan jarak gading yang optimal dengan batasan resiko tekuk pada pelat menurut peraturan klasifikasi, momen batas struktur kapal harus sama dengan atau lebih besar dari 1.2 kali momen lentur vertikal (sagging dan hogging). Momen lentur vertikal dihitung dengan menggunakan formulasi yang telah diberikan oleh BKI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekuatan batas pada struktur kapal ferry Ro-Ro yang membandingkan hasil dari dua metode yaitu Metode Smith dan NLFEA. Ro-Ro adalah kapal yang menangani muatannya dengan cara rolling it on and off di atas single or series ramps. Ramps yang dapat bekerja baik saat di kapal dan dermaga. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan perbandingan nilai hasil dari metode NLFEA lebih besar daripada metode Smith. Hal ini dikarenakan metode NLFEA dapat menghitung redistribusi beban dan interaksi antara kegagalan lokal dan global secara kompleks sehingga keakuratan hasil perhitungan metode NLFEA lebih baik daripada metode Smith. Semakin jauh jarak gading maka semakin kecil beban batas agar pelat mengalami tekuk. Kata Kunci: Kapal Ro-Ro, Penampang Melintang, Jarak Gading, Tekuk, Kekuatan Batas Abstract The development of construction's regulation is no longer determining the distance of the frame. Hence, the designers make the optimal frame distance plan with the ultimate risk of bending on the plate. According to the classification rules, the structure's ultimate moment must be equal to or greater than 1.2 times vertical bending moment (sagging and hogging). This study aims to determine the ultimate strength on the structure of a Ro-Ro ferry which comparing two methods between the Smith and NLFEA Methods. Ro-Ro is a ship that handles its cargo by rolling it on and off over a single or ramp series. Ramps that can work well on board and dock. The use of ANSYS application that applied NLFEA method in this study shows the comparison of result value of NLFEA method is greater than Smith method. This is because the NLFEA method can calculate load redistribution and the interaction between local and global failures in a complex way so that the accuracy of the NLFEA method is better than the Smith method. The further the ivory distance the smaller the load limit for the plate to buckling.

Tourism objects in the district of Nabire relatively not developed much and has not been handled optimally due to lack of promotion. E-Tourism which is an electronic application for the tourism sector that can facilitate the user to visit a tourist site at a location. The currently available apps can not make real-time data changes regarding the position of the app's user coordinates to find out where to find the sights. This study aims to provide information to application users about the position of the location of the tour and the position of users who can change in real-time using firebase. This research uses experimental method, that is pinned firebase platform on E-Tourism so that application can utilize various real-time database feature in firebase. The system is tested by moving the user's position of the app to see changes in position data in real-time and will be shown on the application map. The next test by showing the location of tourism as well as the path traveled by the user to reach the sights. The results of this study show the position of the user that can change in real-time when the user to switch position without having to refresh the data manually (refresh). Applications can also display a list of tourist sites and the path taken to get to the tourist sites located in Nabire district.

Load scheduling is essential for optimizing power transmission on the system. The way to produce a stable electrical energy transmission system is to minimize transmission losses using between the moment of inertia and power on the generator. The generation noise is a description of the power losses on the transmission line generated when the power plant sends the load power. Transferring power from a high losses plant to a low losses plant. Rescheduling System can minimize transmission system losses. In this research, the scheduling result of this method is compared with the realization of scheduling of thermal generators from PT PLN (Persero) Sulselbar Central Disbursement and Control Center (P3B). This comparison aims to prove this method better than scheduling realized PLN, so that found also advantages and disadvantages method. After the research, this method produces a generation power that is close to stability, because the amount of power generated close to the power generation of PLN in fulfilling the same load demand remains with smaller transmission losses and cheaper fuel costs. The result of stable loading results in the efficiency of the electricity company so that it can reduce the operational cost of the generation and of course indirectly impact on the low cost of electricity production.

The mosquito's parasite is a group of single-celled microorganisms in the plasmodium type that can cause malaria by attacking human blood cells. In this study, a parasitic detection application of Plasmodium Falciparum type at thropozoite, scizont and gametocyte stage was designed using Android Studio 2.2.2 and OpenCV 2.4.9 library. Image detection process begins with preprocessing, then feature extraction and classification phase using Haar Cascade Classifier, then the last stage 3 types of boost compared, namely Gentle Adaboost, Discrete Adaboost, and Real Adaboost. Image Enhancement is one of the preliminary processes in preprocessing that aims to clarify certain features or features of the image to be more easily analyzed carefully in the feature selection process. The results of this study prove that image enhancement can be used to improve image quality so that the information available on the image can be seen more clearly.

This study aims to find out the efficiency of grain dryers using a chimney and a fan as suction air from the collector into the drying chamber.The research was conducted at the Central of Laboratory Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Engineering, University of Muslim Indonesia, Makassar. A dryer was made from a zinc plate of 0.2 mm as collector by using a hot-air and solar energy as a drying medium. It was expected that this tool can dry grain quickly with evenly distributed drying level or water content. There were five variations of the Chimney : 20 cm, 50 cm, 80 cm, 110 cm and 140 cm with the grain thickness of 7 cm, 5 cm and 3 cm. The data were then analyzed to obtained the efficiency of the dryer. The results reveal that the time required to lower the water content of the harvest grain from 24.6% to 13.6% - 13.85% of milled moisture was 4 hours - 6.5 hours with an efficiency of 34,232 % for grain thicknes 7 cm, 31,480 % for grain thicknes 5 cm and 30,122 for grain thicknes 3 cm at 80 cm chimney height.

E-learning is an information technology that has been widely applied to the field of education in the form of websites because it can be accessed indefinitely and place. The development of E-learrning is logical because it follows the age of putting forward information and communication technology. Conventional learning is especially an evaluation of essay form learning, where teachers check students' essay answers that require more time and effort. Automated Essay Scoring (AES) is one of the features of Elearning that can facilitate the teacher in matching the answer of student essay with answer key. Text similarity is a method of matching text that is recall word based on specified condition (term). The language used in AES is Indonesian which has a different word morphology with other languages. The results obtained in this study is the Error rate using the term frequency (tf) is lower with high accuracy.

The purpose of this research is to know dimension reduction parameter value at feature selection so as to improve accuracy and reduce computation time. This system uses text mining technology that extracts text data to find information from a set of documents. Word weighting and Term Reduction Technique The term Frequency Thresholding is used in the feature selection process, while in the classification process using the Naive Bayes algorithm. the abstract of the journal is categorized into 3 namely Data Mining (DM), Intelligent Transport System (ITS) and Multimedia (MM). The total number of test data and training data is 150 data. The best classification results are obtained when the dimension reduction parameter value is 30%. At that condition obtained an average accuracy of 87.33% with a computation time of 4 minutes 12 seconds.
