Abstract

Introduction: The implant contains levonogestrel, the advantage of this method lasts up to five years, once the contraceptive is taken the fertility will return soon. The side effect of using this contraceptive implant is weight gain because the hormones contained can stimulate the appetite control center in the hypothalamus. This study aims to find out the factors associated with the use of implanted contraception in women of childbearing age (WUS)Method: This research is a cross-sectional quantitative study with the Simple Random Sampling technique. The results of the study were analyzed using a statistical test, namely Chi-Square to see the relationship with the use of implanted contraceptive devices in women of childbearing age (WUS)Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the use of implanted contraceptives and attitude (p-value = 0.002), access to health services (p-value = 0.033), the role of health workers (p-value = 0.033), and there was no relationship between contraceptive use implant with Age (p=0.331), Education (p-value=0.444), Knowledge (p-value=0.148)Conclusion: There is a relationship between attitude, access to health services, the role of health workers, husband's support and there is no relationship between age, education, knowledgeKeywords: Factors, implant contraception, women of childbearing age

Abstract

Introduction: Snake bites are a globally recognized emergency that can cause death and occur frequently, especially in tropical areas where farmers live. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of demonstrations on farmer groups' knowledge about snake bite first aid.Method: Pre-experimental research design, one group pre-test post-test. The research sample was 65 members of farmer groups using a simple random sampling technique. The independent variable from this research is health education using the demonstration method and the dependent variable from research is knowledge about snake bite first aid. Data was taken using a knowledge questionnaire, analyzed using the Paired T test, CI = 95%Results: The results of data analysis were p=0.000<0.05, meaning that there was an influence of the demonstration method on the level of knowledge of farmer groups in providing first aid for snake bites. Conclusion: Health education using demonstration methods can provide changes to farmer groups' knowledge about snake bite first aid. It is hoped that farmer groups can apply the knowledge gained when there are snake bite victims in the field. Keywords: demonstration; farmers; first aid; snakebite

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is a common hematological disorder in pregnancy which causes a decrease in hemoglobin levels, this has the risk of increasing morbidity and mortality. Exposure to cigarette smoke may be one of the factors that contributes to a decrease in hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. This study aims to determine the correlation between exposure to cigarette smoke and the incidence of pregnancy anemiaMethod: This research uses correlational analytics with a cross sectional approach. The population was all pregnant women in the third trimester who were exposed to cigarette acid in their homes with a total sample of 35 people taken using purposive sampling. Data was collected through interviews regarding the frequency of exposure, then peripheral hemoglobin levels were measured and then tested using Spearman Rho analysis. Results: The results showed that pregnant women who had light exposure to cigarette smoke tended to have no anemia (87.5%), while the majority of pregnant women who had moderate exposure to cigarette smoke had mild anemia (60%), and mothers who had moderate exposure to cigarette smoke had mild anemia (60%). The majority of heavy smokers have moderate anemia (55.6%). The average hemoglobin level in light exposure to cigarette smoke tends to be higher than the hemoglobin level in moderate and heavy exposure with a risk factor probability of 19,5. These results are strengthened by the Spearman rho test with a value of p = 0.000 (P<0.05), r = 0.777, this finding proves that exposure to cigarette smoke has a strong correlation with the incidence of pregnancy. Conclusion: Exposure to cigarette smoke has been proven to be a risk factor for decreasing hemoglobin levels and causing anemia in pregnancy. Keywords: exposure to cigarette smoke; pregnancy anemia; Hemoglobin levels

The population is mothers who have children under 60 months of age who are given education about stunting. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with 27 respondents. The instrument uses a questionnaire with data collection carried out twice for pre and post values. Data analysis used Wilcoxon rank. Results: The results show that most of the respondents' knowledge before psychoeducation was sufficient and afterwards most of them had good knowledge. Obtained p value = 0.000 which shows that there is a difference in mean knowledge before and after being given psychoeducation. Conclusion: Psychoeducation has an impact on knowledge and efforts to prevent stunting. It is hoped that preventive efforts in the community can be carried out optimally and sustainably. Keywords: Women, Psicoeducation, Stunting, Suitcase
