Abstract

Firm value, often proxied by Price-to-Book Value (PBV), reflects market confidence in future performance. In Indonesia’s non-cyclical sector—covering consumer staples, healthcare, and utilities—PBV has experienced volatility between 2020–2024, despite the sector’s traditionally stable nature. This study investigates whether financial indicators such as Return on Assets (ROA), Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), and firm size have a stronger impact on PBV than non-financial factors like Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Using purposive sampling, 14 listed firms (70 firm-year observations) were analyzed through panel regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), selected via the Hausman test. The findings indicate that DER has a significant positive effect on PBV, underscoring the importance of capital structure in driving firm valuation. Conversely, ESG score, ROA, and firm size show no significant influence, suggesting that investors in non-cyclical industries continue to prioritize leverage over sustainability or profitability indicators. The study recommends that firms strengthen capital structure management and improve disclosure quality to ensure sustainability efforts are more effectively integrated into valuation. Limitations include a small sample, reliance on secondary ESG data, and a short observation period, suggesting future studies should expand both scope and variables.

Abstract

This study aims to address a research gap by comprehensively analyzing the interactions and contributions of performance expectancy, self-efficacy, and customer satisfaction to Generation Z’s behavioral intention to adopt FinTech-based digital payments. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 198 respondents in Batam City from September to December 2024. The study employs the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, incorporating customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The primary variables analyzed include performance expectancy, self-efficacy, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), supported by SmartPLS software, was used for data analysis. The results indicate that performance expectancy significantly affects both customer satisfaction and behavioral intention, while self-efficacy significantly affects only customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is shown to mediate the relationship between both performance expectancy and self-efficacy with behavioral intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between work-life balance, transformational leadership, and organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in employees in the Event Organizer sector. The main focus of this study is to identify the key elements that influence OCB, as well as provide recommendations for executive office management to create a work environment that is fair, balanced, and supports positive behavior in a dynamic and stressful organization. A quantitative approach was used by distributing questionnaires via Google Forms to 150 respondents selected by simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression through SPSS 30.0. The results show that work-life balance has a positive but insignificant effect on OCB. In contrast, transformational leadership shows a negative influence that is also insignificant. Meanwhile, organizational justice had a significant negative impact on OCB. These findings indicate that OCB behavior in the event organizer sector is more influenced by individual characteristics and workplace dynamics than formal rules or leadership styles. Therefore, management is advised to increase work flexibility, strengthen two-way communication, and build a transparent justice system to encourage employee loyalty and voluntary behavior.

Abstract

The digital transformation has significantly shifted consumer behavior, with electronic word of mouth (eWOM), particularly in the form of short videos (vWOM), becoming a primary source of information influencing new product adoption decisions. This study aims to examine the influence of eWOM on the intention to adopt new products, with customer innovativeness as a mediating variable, in the context of the adventure tourism destination Cakadiditrip in Ambon City. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SmartPLS 4.0), the study involved 97 respondents who had been exposed to Cakadiditrip’s video content on social media. The results show that eWOM significantly influences both the intention to adopt new products and customer innovativeness, and that customer innovativeness mediates the relationship between eWOM and adoption intention. These findings highlight the strategic importance of digital content marketing that aligns with the innovative traits of target audiences. Practical implications suggest that businesses, especially in emerging tourism sectors, should optimize vWOM as a persuasive communication tool to accelerate market innovation adoption.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the role of Analytical Hierarchy Process method in prioritizing three alternative tourism development areas, namely Likupang, Morotai Island, and Tanjung Kelayang. These three alternatives were selected from 10 Priority Tourism Destinations established by the Indonesia Ministry of Tourism. There are three criteria used as considerations in prioritizing the three alternative tourism areas, they are: Economic Benefits, Availability of Infrastructure, Tourist Destination Attractions, Social and Environmental Issues. These criteria were selected based on various previous research results. Meanwhile, the information regarding each criteria was obtained from the Ministry of Tourism. Furthermore, to increase objectivity, relative weights among criteria is obtained through questionnaire to eight respondents whose background are practitioner and academician. All information was processed into the Original Matrix and Adjusted Matrix with relative assessment weights based on the questionnaire results. After that, the Consistency Ratio was calculated, which result is less than 0,1. The calculation results indicate that Likupang become the first priority as a location for tourism area development. However, this research recommend that other locations should be developed as well but with a lower priority, considering that the economic benefits of tourism for Likupang are still less than that of the other two alternative areas.
