Abstract

The process of making tapioca flour traditionally consists of three stages performed separately. The three stages of tapioca flour production can also be done mechanically, ie with the help of equipment, both for the process of dissolving and the process of extortion and filtering. Existing mechanical means, using two separate tools in which one device is used for the dissolution process, while the other is used for extortion and filtering. 5 tests were performed with the scales specified in the test ie 2 kg, 4 kg, 6 kg, 8 kg, and 10 kg. The average engine capacity of 12 Kg / Hr and the capacity of cassava hardener is 11 Kg / hour. The average efficiency of flour testing was 20.54% and the average efficiency of cassava dregs was 37.8%.Key words: Productivity, Capacity, Efficiency

Abstract

Merangin Regency has many natural beauty and has various tourist attractions. One of them is Wang waterfall which is located in Biuku Tanjung village. To get to the object, once visitors must cross the river by boat. But now the government has built a pedestrian bridge with a span 48 meters to the waterfall tourist attractions, making it easier for visitors. Every year the visitors are growing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strength of the bridge that is in the tourist attraction. Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method used in analyzing bridges with 2 dimensional structure modeling in the form of portal structure. The data in this research is primary data obtained with direct observation and measurement of field and secondary data is drwing plan of bridge. From the results of structural calculation analysis, all of the planned dimensions meet the strength and security requirements of the structure.Key words : Steel Structure, pedestrian bridge, LRFD method

Abstract

In the RPJMN 2015-2019 the government sets a target of 20 million foreign tourists by 2019. The hotel sector contributes to national energy use of 3%. The hospitality sector is growing at a 12.5% growth rate from 2007 to 2011, in response to an increase in the number of tourists between 9-13% including in Jambi at that time. To evaluate the use of electric energy at the hotel it is necessary to conduct an analysis of energy costs per hotel room sold to give an average picture of energy costs. From the calculation, it is found that the intensity of energy consumption in one of the hotel rooms in jambi city is 5.93 kWh / m2.Key words: Energy, energy conservation, hotel

Abstract

The rapid development of construction projects in Indonesia is directly proportional to the tools created and developed to assist and facilitate activities in the work. The tools no longer fully use human power but humans are only a part of the process of operating the tool. Limited land in the city of Jambi became the main reason in the construction of high-rise buildings. Thus, special technology is needed in order to facilitate the implementation of such development. One of the tools used is the tool for foundation work. Deep foundation construction has a more complex structure compared to shallow foundation construction. Therefore, in the construction of high-rise project, the use of jack in pile is considered very appropriate. One of the advantages of jack in pile is environmental disturbance such as vibration and noise can be minimized. In this research will discuss one type of Jack in Pile that is type Hydraulic Static Pile Driver (HSPD). Where in this case the effectiveness of the use of Hydraulic Static Pile Drivers (HSPD) on the Odua Weston project will be discussed according to the literature and supporting data available. Keywords: Effectiveness of Pollution, HSPD, SWOT Analysis

Abstract

Coconut as one of the leading plantation products in Jambi province, currently only rely on copra and coconut shell charcoal as the resulting product. Coconut removal as a by-product of coconut has not been utilized optimally. Coconut husk which is processed with precise and appropriate can produce high value product. This research aims to design, make and test the tool to decompose the coconut scale of household scale. Coconut coir decomposers are made with 1000x700x 1080mm tool dimensions, the driver uses 6.5 HP gasoline engine and an average engine capacity of 10 kg / hour. Knife cut (blade) on this tool can be removed (portable) so it can be tailored to the needs. The test was conducted to determine the effect of blade amount and time to the percentage of cocofiber and cocopeat produced. Number of blades varied ie 5 blades and 10 blades. Decomposition time varied from 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes and 5 minutes, with a 650 rpm engine speed. The results of this study recommend to use 10 blades with a decomposition time for 5 minutes. The results obtained from the recommendation are cocofiber that decomposes as much as 32%, which does not decompose as much as 10% and cocopeat produced as much as 58%.Keywords:  blade, portable, cocofiber, cocopeat.

Abstract

Pedestrian facilities are often overlooked. Whereas pedestrians include elements of traffic flow that need attention, especially in dense urban areas will be vehicles. The purpose of this research is to know the benefits of the Pedestrian Overpass (JPO) in Jalan Sultan Thaha near WTC Mall of Jambi City. The research conducted is to survey JPO users during peak hours and busy days and compare to the traffic in the research area. The results of the study assessed the suitability of the ferry facilities to the existing requirements and to recommend appropriate facilities can be calculated from the highest crossing volume (P) and vehicle volume (V) at peak hours ie P = 325 pedestrians /hour, V = 2610.75 vehicles./hour. Based on the recommendation of choosing a road crossing facility, it can be concluded that the recommended facilities are Zebra Cross (ZC) crossing facilities and it is not feasible to use JPO. From the percentage data of population growth in the estimation of the number of people who will use pedestrian overpass, it will work at 8 years 3 months ahead. Abstract

Aggregate quality is very influential on the strength of the resulting concrete. Both coarse and fine aggregates have various characteristics identified from laboratory test results. This study aims to examine the use of various aggregates for a quality of concrete. The coarse aggregate and the fine aggregate used are obtained from the nearest location to the work to be performed. The quality of the concrete reviewed is K-125, K-175 and K-225. The coarse aggregates used are 1-2 size (in cm), 2-3 size (in cm) crushed aggregate and coral. The fine aggregates used for each of the coarse aggregates are also different. The results showed that the coral aggregate did not meet the gradations of concrete aggregate. While the fine aggregate does not meet the gradation of concrete aggregate for the three types used. The concrete compressive strength test results show the use of coarse aggregates of 2-3 size of crushed and coarse aggregate of corals giving the average compressive strength value required for all planned concrete strength. While concrete using coarse aggregates of rocks of size 1-2 only meet the specified compressive strength, but does not meet the required compressive strength.Key words: Aggregates, concrete, compressive strength
