Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the habitus of rice paddy farming under 0.5 hectares in fulfilling the family's living. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The data-sensing technique uses purposive sampling. The results of the research conducted can be known that habitat farmers Habitus with less than 0.5 hectares of land in the village of Columnayan in the effort to fulfill household, not only rely on farming activities. By carrying out other alternatives to farming activities are expected to solve the problems of living in household fulfillment.

Abstract

The phenomenon of child labor food street sellers is a complex problem which currently exists in both. This research is aimed to investigate phenomenon of a child food street in the Mandalika Economic Region and meaning of children’s rights for child food street sellers. The research method used is a phenomenology qualitative approach. The main resource of this research is children working as street food sellers. The research results show that being a food street seller is affected by past actions in order to achieve goals. They work almost every day after school time. As street food sellers, most of them define their rights as a child as being fulfilled but some are not. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is (1) children who become food street sellers have two sets of motives. The first relate to their friends, family economic conditions, up bringing patterns, looseness of school rules, and self-willingness. The secondary motives relate to playing to strengthen social relations, to assist their family’s economic circumstances, to bring happiness to their family, to become free from homework, to be independent, and to improve their English. (2) The meaning of children’s rights for child food street sellers is the right to play, to receive education, protection, a name, nationality, food, health, recreation, equality, and a role in development. The researcher gives some suggestions such as this study can be a reference for policy-making in the mentoring program.

Abstract

The International Convention on the Protection of the rights of foreign workers and their family members is a convention imposed on 1 June 2003. The convention was formed in order to protect migrant workers in a country. This Convention gives Justice the same rights to migrant workers and local workers in a country. Such rights may be the right to travel, the right to change of employment, the right to gather with the family, the right to organize, and the right to acknowledgment of the documents or not documents. This Paper aims to determine the success or presence of countries that ratify this Convention. and case studies on this paper using the country of Indonesia. From the data we can and we collect, it can be concluded that the country of Indonesia ratified this Convention but failed to apply this Convention to its country due to migrant workers who are treated unreasonably in the country where it works.

Abstract

The Balai Kiyu Indigenous People are the Dayak indigenous people who have long occupied the Meratus mountain region in South Kalimantan. These indigenous people have problems that will threaten their existence. The problem is not internal, but external parties overshadowing communal well-being. This study aims to analyze the threats that will be faced by the Balai Kiyu Indigenous Peoples to their existence and is expected to represent the threats that will be faced by indigenous peoples along the Meratus mountains. Based on the research results obtained, the threat to the existence of the Indigenous Peoples Kiyu Centers among them is, first, the boundaries of indigenous territories so far that has not been authorized by the regional or central government, making them very vulnerable communities. Secondly, the highly educated generation slowly began to abandon local wisdom that had been running for decades from its negative effects. Third, the Omnibus Law Bill on the Labor Copyright Act will clarify that indigenous peoples in the future will only be named, because of the loss of communal ownership rights so far.

Abstract

The study was entitled "Social Capital as a Post-Earthquake Recovery Strategy in Gondang Village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency." The impact of the earthquake not only resulted in damage to infrastructure and, residential buildings, and other social facilities, but earthquakes also result in psychological conditions and underdevelopment of socio-economic life, which is caused by the paralysis of all sectors of the people's line of life. This research is a qualitative research which aims to explain and find social capital owned by the community in the post-disaster recovery process in Gondang village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency. The focus of this research is to find and identify forms of social capital in the village of Gondang, then how the form of social capital is used as a post-earthquake recovery strategy. This study aims to identify the forms of social capital, and find out the form of social capital as a post-earthquake recovery strategy. This study uses the theory and concept of social capital from James S. Coleman who was born from his rational choice theory. This research also uses qualitative methods using case studies, and data and information collection techniques using in-depth interviews, field observations and documentation results that contain photos, videos and other documents obtained from various parties. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, approval / verification, and credibility The results showed the form of social capital in Gondang Village community consisting of beliefs, networks and norms. Community trust in religion, trust in government, trust in volunteers, and trust in community members. The formed network is a network originating from inside and outside the community, inside network is a relation from P3A and KWT, and network from outside is a relation from ACT. As well as the values and norms that are still implemented by the community, namely dead gawe and live gawe, as well as the subak and loving system. While the form of social capital is the result of traditions or customs in the form of sangkep, ngibukang, and nembakuh. As well as values and norms in the form of strong community ties and solidarity, which are the result of the application of inherent traditions or customs.

Abstract

Indonesia is a large nation with a diversity and a lot of its society. In a multicultural society, there is a potential conflict among the nation's children who are at risk of splitting unity and unity. This kind of reality is often found in various democratic contestations in the election of regional chiefs (elections). Religious moderation becomes very important when in a process of democracies emerging identity politics which of course risk injuring democratic values. The purpose of this research is to discuss the effectiveness of religious moderation in realizing the democratic elections (regional election) and the function of political political parties in religious moderation as a pillar of democracy in Indonesia. The method used is research libraries. The conclusion of this research is the first, religious moderation is effective in establishing democratic elections, both political parties serve as a mobilizer for religious moderation to create a dignified and lasting democracy

Abstract

In a democratic country, it certainly puts forward the principles of democracy. In this time, the tourism industry in Indonesia has great potential in the Indonesian economy. Along with its development, government policies in developing tourism destinations that have the potential to increase foreign exchange are expected to be sustainable development. Especially in terms of the environment where the concept of ecocracy itself is a form of recognition of nature. In this article use literature studies. The results obtained are addressing all government policies relating to the tourism sector without disrupting existing ecosystems. So that there needs to be steps that must be carried out by the government and there needs to be steps that must be taken for businesses in the tourism industry. Without harming people's rights around the tourism destination that will be developed.

Abstract

An inevitability that natural disasters such as earthquakes will be perceived differently by different individuals within a community, some may perceive earthquakes as a natural occurrence plain and others perceive in transcendental meaning (the relationship of creatures and their Lord), namely the relationship causality between human behavior on the one hand as the cause and the punishment of God through the natural disaster on the other side as a result. This study aims to (1) determine how the perception of Gili Trawangan people to the cause of earthquake that has ever happened, (2) to determine the factors that affect the perception of Gili Trawangan people to the cause of earthquake. This research is down with qualitative paradigm, and case study research as design. Then, the technique of purposive samping and snow ball sampling are used to determine some key informans and support informans. As for in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation are some of the data collection techniques. The research showed that the majority of Gili Trawangan people (71%) perceive that all behaviour and activity of Gili Trawangan community, then the type of tourism business that correlate to party activity, promiscuity, alcohol, as the cause of the earthquake. As for the small percentage (16%) of Gili Trawangan people who are the owner of tourism business perceiving that the earthquake is a natural phenomenon that occurs naturally due to the cyclical annual. As for those who perceive ambiguously are their backgrounds as tourism workers, such as waiters, porters, coachman of horse cart, and others, the amount are 14%. Perception ambiguous question in this research is at one time informants perceive that the cause of the earthquake transcendentally based on religious beliefs but at the same time agree well with the perception that the earthquake is a natural annual cycle. The factors that influence the perception of the above is the level of education, various professions, understanding delivered by preachers and religious leaders, and presentation of information from the mass media.
