Abstract

Sapi Bali merupakan salah satu jenis sapi lokal asli Indonesia yang banyak diternakkan. Sapi Bali banyak disenangi karena memiliki keunggulan yang tidak dimiliki oleh sapi lokal lainnya, seperti daya adaptasi yang tinggi, tidak selektif pakan, serta memiliki karkas yang tinggi, dan juga nilai produktif yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon fisiologis sapi bali yang dipelihara pada berbagai lingkungan termal di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah meta-analisis, data sekunder yang didapat kemudian dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui respon fisiologis sapi pada cekaman termal. Berdasarkan pada hasil analisis diketahui bahwa berdasarkan pada nilai THI dapat diketahui bahwa sapi bali yang dipelihara pada berbagai lingkungan dan wilayah di Indonesia memiliki kisaran tingkat stres paling rendah adalah tidak terjadi stres dan paling tinggi adalah stres sedang. Sapi bali yang dipelihara pada lingkungan dataran tinggi menunjukkan tidak terjadi stress, sebab pada sapi bali menemukan zona nyamannya dalam melakukan termoregulasi. Sedangkan, ketika mengalami cekaman panas, sapi bali akan melakukan usaha pengeluaran panas dengan meningkatkan laju respirasinya. Selain itu, kondisi tempat pemeliharaan seperti adanya naungan juga dapat meringankan beban panas yang diterima oleh sapi Bali.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of water spinach fermentation (Ipomoea aquatica Forsk.) on the performance and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) of super native chickens in at grower phase. The material used water spinach flour which was fermented anaerobically for 14 days then mixed in the diets. The research treatment used super free-range chicken aged 4-8 weeks, EM4, and granulated sugar. The rations consisted of ground corn, fine bran, palm kernel cake, tofu dregs, fish meal, minerals and fermented water spinach flour. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, each replication containing 4 free-range chickens in the grower phase of 4 weeks old. P0 (basal diet without fermented water spinach flour). P1 (basal diet with 3% fermented water spinach flour), P2 (basal diet with 6% fermented water spinach flour), P3 (basal diet with 9% fermented water spinach flour). Parameters observed included ration consumption (g), body weight gain (g), ration conversion, final body weight (g), Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), and mortality. The results of the analysis showed that the provision of fermented water spinach flour was not significantly different from ration consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ration, and final body weight. The use of fermented water spinach flour up to 9% in the growt of super native chickens being quite good due to the increasing by feed intake, body weight gain, final final weight, and low feed conversi ration. The best level of using fermented water spinach flour on the Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) of super native chickens in the grower phase is in the P2 treatment, which 6% could be provides greater benefits than other treatments. Percentage mortality was low. Key words : Super chicken grower phase, fermented water, spinach flour

Abstract

Cabbage + mustard greens in the form of waste usually contain high water content so they have the potential to be used as silage feed through the addition of various concentrates. The aim of the research was to assess the physical quality, pH and number of lactic acid bacteria colonies of cabbage + mustard greens waste silage to which different types of concentrate were added. The research used the RAL method with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments are: S1 = 70% cabbage and mustard silage plus 30% rice bran; S2 = 70% cabbage and mustard silage plus 30% corn flour; S3 = 70% cabbage and mustard greens silage plus 30% onggok; and S4 = 70% cabbage and mustard silage plus rice bran + corn flour + 30% onion. The results of the research showed that physical silage, pH and number of LAB colonies produced the same conditions (P>0.05) as cabbage + mustard greens waste silage, whereas based on pH measurements it showed that the addition of rice bran concentrate and corn flour was superior to the use of onggok concentrate.  The conclusion was that cabbage + mustard greens waste silage added from various sources was able to increase the physical value of the silage, pH and the number of lactic acid bacteria populations

Abstract

Pemberian pakan pada ternak dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan yang secara langsung akan berkaitan dengan produktivitas. Status kesehatan ternak dapat diketahui melalui beberapa parameter hematologi, termasuk diferensial leukosit. Leukosit memegang peranan penting pada sistem pertahanan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui diferensial leukosit sapi pasundan betina yang diberi imbangan jerami dan konsentrat yang berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan 17 ekor sapi pasundan dengan umur 1,5-3 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental pakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan diantaranya P1 : 70% Jerami + 30% Konsentrat; P2 : 60% Jerami + 40% Konsentrat; dan P3 :  50% Jerami + 50% Konsentrat. Lama pemeliharaan selama 90 hari dengan pengambilan darah sebanyak 4 kali pada D0, D28, D60, dan D84. Parameter yang diukur yaitu persentase Basofil, Eosinofil, Neutrofil, Monosit, dan Limfosit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian berbagai imbangan jerami dan konsentrat yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diferensial leukosit. Berbagai imbangan jerami dan konsentrat yang diberikan pada penelitian ini tidak memberikan efek negatif terhadap profil leukosit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of liquid organic supplements made cow manure added to rice bran to produce aromatic rice bran with the best values in terms of lactic acid, pH, dry matter loss, and Fleigh Value (NF). The research was conducted from May - June 2024 at the Ruminant Nutrition and Animal Feed Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Padjadjaran University. This experimental study employed a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments and 6 replications, P0 = 1 kilogram of bran + 300 grams of molasses, P1 = 1 kilogram of bran + 200 grams of molasses + 100 mL of SOC, and P2 = 1 kilogram of bran + 100 grams of molasses + 200 mL of SOC. Data analysis was using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the use of cow manure SOC affected the pH, lactic acid content, and dry matter loss of aromatic rice bran, but did not affect the Fleigh Value (FV). The application of SOC with a dose of 100 grams of molasses + 200 mL SOC produced high lactic acid (21.12%), the lowest pH value (4.52), dry matter loss (8.21%), and a Fleigh value of (167.59%).
