Abstract

This study aimed to see the correlation between length of study and comprehensive test scores. This correlational study employed a quantitative approach. The population was 43 graduates of Class XI of Mathematics Education Study Program IAIN Bukittinggi in 2019. The data in this study were length of study and comprehensive test scores. The data were analyzed using the Spearman's Test because the data were not normally distributed with a significant ? = 5%. The results showed that there was no significant correlation between length of study and comprehensive test scores with the very low category and a negative direction (sig 0.467> 0.05). Correlation value of -0.114 indicated a very low relationship with a negative direction.

Abstract

Mostly, teaching materials merely focus on formulas and theories, yet there has not been found any teaching materials oriented to Qur'an. Due to that reason, it is significant to provide materials enabling students to learn independently, especially, those correlating the physics materials with Qur'an.  Therefore, this study aimed to produce students' worksheets of physics, known as LKPD, correlating Qur?an with Guided Inquiry to achieve the students? competencies, particularly, in the topic of equilibrium and rotational dynamics. This study employed the Research and Development design with the 4-D research model consisting of four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This LKPD also contains six stages of Guided Inquiry, namely orientation, formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, testing hypotheses, and formulating conclusions. Every stage of Guided Inquiry engages the Qur?an verses with the material. The findings showed the validity of LKPD was at 88% categorized as very valid. The questionnaires resulted 88% of teachers and 70.3% of students categorized as very practical and practical. The average post-test score for students? competence (82.45) is higher than the average pre-test score (49.64) and N-gain of 0.77 considered high and effective. In conclusion, the physics students' worksheet or LKPD which employed Guided Inquiry corresponding with Qur?an is considered valid, practical, and effective to promote students in learning physics.

Abstract

Teacher-centered learning in Physics subject produces passive students because teachers dominate learning while students tend to listen, take notes, and do assignments. This condition does not provide space for students to be actively and creatively involved during learning which in turn decreases students' motivation and learning outcomes This condition can be improved through inquiry approach. The research aimed to increase motivation and learning outcomes in Physics through inquiry-based learning. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in class XI IPA-1 SMAN 1 Batang Gasan in 2018/2019 Academic Year. This study consisted of 2 cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. Students? learning motivation data were collected using questionnaire sheets and their learning outcomes were collected through test. The results showed that inquiry-based learning increased student motivation from 68% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle and classical mastery of learning from 50% in cycle I to 96.4% in cycle II. It was concluded that inquiry-based learning approaches improve student motivation and learning outcomes in physics.

Abstract

To facilitate the processing of thesis management reports, reports assignments, minutes and attendance, an application is needed. Dealing with these needs, an analysis of the processing of student thesis data processing needs to be done so that results and requirements can be obtained for the application that is need. The analysis was carried out by analyzing the needs, users and facilities needed by the application. The result of this study was the data processing information system for organizing student thesis using the waterfall method. There are 5 stages that were carried out in order to obtain maximum results, namely Communication (Project Initiation & Requirements Gathering), Planning (Estimating, Scheduling, Tracking), Modeling (Analysis & Design), Construction (Code & Test), and Deployment (Delivery, Support, Feedback). The finding showed that this application helps facilitate the processing of thesis implementation data and displays the information needed by Batusangkar State Islamic Institute users.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a health problem that is a problem that must be resolved and needs special treatment. Handling malnutrition cases one which is by providing additional food in the form soy oat snack bars and kidney beans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of developing soybean and red bean oat snack bar. This research is an experimental research that is research with the substitution of soybeans and kidney beans then the effect is seen on the organoleptic quality with the SPSS test anova and seen its nutrient content in the laboratory of Unand. Research Results: 1) The highest organoleptic test is treatment A. 2) The oat snack bar produced the highest carbohydrate content in treatment A as much as 58.48%, protein content 5.8%, and calories 38.98 kcal, the highest fat content in treatment B is 22.75%, the highest water content in treatment C is 32.9%. 3) The best formulation on oat soybean and red bean oat snack bars with several binding ingredients for color, taste, aroma, and texture as well as nutrients is treatment A (30 g soybeans: 50 g kidney beans). Development of Snack Bar Oat soybeans and kidney beans at Treatment A is an Oat Snack Bar has a high nutrient content and good color, taste, aroma, and texture.
