Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan handout berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan, peningkatan minat belajar siswa dan mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pengembangan atau atau Research and Development (R&D). Subjek peneilitian ini sebanyak 40 peserta didik kelas XI. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 Pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon dan soal test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan handout berbasis problem based learning telah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil validasi dengan hasil ahli media sebesar 42, ahli bahasa sebesar 57, dan ahli materi sebesar 39, ketiga validasi dari validator tersebut masuk dalam kategori sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dapat dibuktika dengan hasil minat belajar siswa menggunakan handout berbasis problem based learning sebesar 69,63% dengan kategori Tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa handout berbasis problem based lerning dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Analysis of Learning Difficulties of Students of Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar in Physics Subjects on Speed and Acceleration Material. This study aims to identify students learning difficulties in applied physics courses at Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar especially on the concept of speed and acceleration. This study is a descriptive study with a population of 240 students in the engineering study program in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and a sample of 150 people based on the Taro Yamane formula. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews. The research instrument in the form of essay questions was used to measure the difficulty of calculating, mastery of concepts, interpretation of symbols, and unit conversion, and interviews aimed to determine the factors that cause learning difficulties experienced by students. The conclusion of this study shows that the main difficulty of students in learning physics lies in mastery of concepts (20.3%), followed by difficulty in converting units (17.5%) and interpreting symbols (15.9%). The lowest difficulty in calculation (1.1%). Factors such as ineffective teaching methods and lack of supporting materials affect conceptual understanding. Therefore, a more varied learning approach, the use of visual aids, and the improvement of basic mathematical skills are needed to improve students' knowledge of physics.

Abstract

Waves are vibrations that propagate, either through the media or not through the media. Sound is wave energy that comes from a sound source, namely a vibrating object. Where the purpose of this study is to find out how waves and sound affect the phenomenon of hearing. Based on the problems raised, the research method that is suitable for use is in the form of literature studies or literature studies. Literature study can be reached by collecting references consisting of several previous studies which are then compiled to draw conclusions. The sound that the human ear hears changes from a mechanical acoustic signal to an electrical signal that is passed on by the auditory nerve to the brain. The results showed that the process of hearing goes through three stages, namely the stage of transferring physical energy in the form of a sound stimulus to the hearing organ, the conversion or transduction stage, namely the conversion of the physical energy stimulation to the receiving organ and the stage of transmitting nerve impulses to the auditory cortex and of course it cannot be separated from the human hearing organ. namely ears. The process of hearing is a process that is not simple, in order to hear humans must have good hearing organs and hearing function. The organ system of hearing is divided into peripheral and central.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model in Physics Learning for Grade VII Students of SMP IT Annajiyah. This study explores the effectiveness of the guided inquiry model in teaching physics to seventh-grade students at SMP IT Annajiyah. It employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and a quasi-experimental design. The participants were students engaging in physics lessons using the guided inquiry approach. Data were collected through classroom observations to assess student participation, conceptual understanding, and responses to the learning process. The guided inquiry model was designed to actively involve students in exploration, investigation, and problem-solving under teacher guidance. The findings indicate that this approach enhances students' interest, participation, and engagement in learning activities. Thus, the guided inquiry model is an effective method for teaching physics at the middle school level.

Abstract

Materi rangkaian listrik seri-paralel merupakan materi dasar untuk memahami elektronika analog, namun masih banyak mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika yang belum menguasai konsep rangkaian seri-paralel. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh metode ceramah berbantuan EVP (Eyes View Point) terhadap pemahaman konsep rangkaian listrik seri-paralel pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP, UMMAT sebanyak 43 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2024 sebanyak 7 orang yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah elektronika analog. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pre-eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest-posttest design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan intrumen tes essay. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berbentuk tes pemahaman konsep rangkaian listrik seri-paralel. Jumlah soal sebanyak 10 soal yang terbagi menjadi 5 soal pretest dan 5 soal posttest. Berdasarkan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test diperoleh (Thitung = 0) < (Ttabel = 2), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada materi rangkaian listrik seri-paralel dengan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah berbantuan EVP, dimana besar peningkatannya ditunjukkan dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,67 pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' conceptions of the kinetic theory of gases using the Three-Tier Test as a diagnostic instrument. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving 15 twelfth-grade students of MA Darussalam Barandasi in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected using a Three-Tier diagnostic test consisting of answer selection, reasoning, and confidence level, and were analyzed using a response-combination rubric. The results show that most students demonstrated adequate conceptual understanding, particularly regarding the relationship between temperature and the kinetic energy of gas particles (13.33%) and the ideal gas law (33.33%). However, misconceptions were identified in the relationship between kinetic energy and gas pressure, the interpretation of gas-law graphs, and the application of the ideal gas law. These findings indicate that abstract concepts remain challenging despite students' relatively good basic understanding. The Three-Tier Test effectively identified hidden misconceptions and provided a comprehensive profile of students' conceptual understanding, making it a useful diagnostic tool for improving physics instruction.

Abstract

The convergence of immersive technology and artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming physics learning into a more interactive and adaptive environment. However, research on this topic has not been systematically mapped. This study analyzes research trends, gaps, and future prospects using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database covering publications from 2020 to 2026. Following the screening process, 100 articles were analyzed using Bibliometrix-Biblioshiny. The analysis included publication trends, collaboration networks, keyword co-occurrence, thematic mapping, and conceptual structure. The results revealed a substantial increase in publications, with artificial intelligence, virtual reality, immersive technologies, and STEM education emerging as dominant themes. The United States, China, and Indonesia were the leading contributors. The findings indicate considerable opportunities for future research, particularly in adaptive learning and immersive learning environments for physics education. This study provides a scientific overview that may serve as a reference for future research on the convergence of AI and immersive technology in physics learning.

Abstract

Hambatan dalam menyelesaikan soal fisika pada materi gelombang mekanik masih menjadi tantangan bagi siswa karena materi ini menuntut kemampuan translasi konteks, representasi simbolik, dan pemahaman konseptual secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hambatan siswa kelas XI dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis cerita dan soal deskripsi serta menganalisis perbedaan karakteristik hambatan pada kedua format soal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi deskriptif. Sebanyak 9 siswa dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui think-aloud protocol, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan analisis jawaban tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal berbasis cerita memunculkan hambatan yang lebih kompleks, didominasi oleh hambatan prosedural (88,9%) dan hambatan translasi narasi (77,8%), dengan rata-rata skor 56,7%. Sebaliknya, soal deskripsi memunculkan hambatan yang lebih terfokus pada representasi simbol dan representasi numerik (44,4%), dengan rata-rata skor 72,0%. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa format soal memengaruhi karakteristik hambatan siswa, sedangkan hambatan pada materi gelombang stasioner tetap muncul pada kedua format soal sehingga memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

. The integration of science and Islamic values in physics learning is an effort to develop academic abilities while strengthening students' religious character. This study aims to develop a physics teaching module integrated with Islamic theology on the topic of light and to determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results show that the developed teaching module is suitable for use in physics learning, declared valid, and capable of supporting improved learning outcomes as well as strengthening students' religious values. Thus, the physics teaching module integrated with Islamic theology on the topic of light can serve as an alternative teaching material that connects physics concepts with Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' understanding of physics concepts in straight motion materials after the application of the discovery learning model. The research uses a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 34 students of class X at one of the public high schools in Makassar City who were selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a two-tier concept understanding test of 20 items that had been validated and had a KR-20 reliability of 0,82. Learning is carried out through the stages of stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, Cohen's dz, and normalized gain (N-gain). The results showed that the average score increased from 52,35 in the pretest to 78,65 in the posttest. The paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, t (33) = 12,94, p < 0,001, with an average N-gain of 0,55 (medium category). These findings show that the application of the discovery learning model is able to improve students' understanding of physics concepts in straight motion materials.
