Abstract

Rectal cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in Indonesia. Treatment of rectal cancer is often done with radiotherapy. External radiotherapy of rectal cancer uses linac which has several methods of irradiation. This study aims to determine the distribution of photon doses through the Conformity Index (CI) and Homogeneity Index (HI) values as well as the doses received by healthy tissue around cancer tissue. This study also aims to find out better methods of external radiotherapy. Making treatment planning using Xi-O TPS software. This study on the 3DCRT method produced HI values of 0.084 ± 0.017 and CI values of 0.98 ± 0.02. In the IMRT method, the HI value is 0.099 ± 0.028 and the CI value is 0.96 ± 0.03. Based on HI and CI analysis, it was found that the 3DCRT method was better than IMRT in the treatment of rectal cancer but not significantly. Meanwhile, the IMRT bowel bag method has a lower average dose compared to the 3DCRT method and the results are significant. In bladder and femoral tissues, the IMRT method is better than the 3DCRT method but is not significant. In rectal cancer, the IMRT technique is better because it can minimize the dose of OAR.

Abstract

Development of Local Wisdom-Based Physics Teaching Materials for Grade X Students at SMAN 4 Maros. Aims to assess the validity and reliability of physics teaching materials based on local wisdom, as well as evaluate students' conceptual understanding and responses to these materials. The research and development method used is the 4-D model, which includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. However, dissemination was not conducted in this study due to time and budget constraints. The product was validated by media experts, subject matter experts, and physics teachers, with the research subjects being tenth-grade students at SMAN 4 Maros. The product's instrument sheets were tested for validity and reliability, and the assessment results were analyzed descriptively. Several findings indicate that the evaluation of the teaching materials showed high validity in the material aspect with a score of 3.5 (Very Valid) and a reliability of 0.947 (Very Strong), as well as in the media aspect with a score of 3.55 (Very Valid) and a reliability of 0.947 (Very Strong). The average evaluation score of the students was 13.125 (Very Good). Additionally, the questionnaire results indicated a "Very Positive" response to the physics teaching materials by 87% of the 40 participating students. Based on these assessments, the developed module is deemed highly suitable for use.

Abstract

The usage of homogeneous phantom in the calibration of LINAC is the standard in radiotherapy. However, a homogeneous phantom cannot accurately represent the complexity of the human body. This study was conducted to perform a Monte Carlo simulation of electron beam irradiation on an inhomogeneous phantom and then compare the resulting dose distribution values, in the form of PDD, with the PDD values obtained from a homogeneous phantom. Irradiation was performed with a 6.6 MeV electron beam on an inhomogeneous phantom resembling the human body. It was discovered that there is a significant difference between the R100 and R50 values of the inhomogeneous phantom in comparison to the homogeneous water phantom. The R100 value of the inhomogeneous value differs by 53.33% compared to the homogeneous phantom, while the R50 value differs by 41.07%. This indicates the influence of electron beam interaction with the inhomogeneous phantom on the resulting dose distribution. In the PDD curve, it is observed that the electron beam passing through the inhomogeneous medium experiences a greater loss of kinetic energy compared to the homogeneous medium. It was found that there’ a significant difference between the PDD values generated in the inhomogeneous phantom compared to the homogeneous phantom.

Abstract

The impact of electromagnetic radiation on health and preventive measures. Laptops emit electromagnetic radiation, including blue light from screens and microwaves from Wi-Fi modules, which pose potential cumulative health risks. This study aims to measure the electromagnetic radiation emitted by laptops, evaluate its impact on user health, and identify applicable preventive measures. The research employed a qualitative method based on library research with a content analysis approach. The findings reveal that blue light intensity ranges from 10–50 µW/cm², while microwave radiation from Wi-Fi reaches up to 2.0 mW/cm² at close distances. Health impacts include eye fatigue, accommodation disorders, and neurological effects such as headaches and fatigue due to prolonged radiation exposure. Identified preventive measures include blue light filters, screen distance adjustments, and low-power Wi-Fi technology. This study offers practical guidelines to minimize health risks associated with electronic device usage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan handout berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan, peningkatan minat belajar siswa dan mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pengembangan atau atau Research and Development (R&D). Subjek peneilitian ini sebanyak 40 peserta didik kelas XI. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 Pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon dan soal test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan handout berbasis problem based learning telah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil validasi dengan hasil ahli media sebesar 42, ahli bahasa sebesar 57, dan ahli materi sebesar 39, ketiga validasi dari validator tersebut masuk dalam kategori sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dapat dibuktika dengan hasil minat belajar siswa menggunakan handout berbasis problem based learning sebesar 69,63% dengan kategori Tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa handout berbasis problem based lerning dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Analysis of Learning Difficulties of Students of Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar in Physics Subjects on Speed and Acceleration Material. This study aims to identify students learning difficulties in applied physics courses at Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar especially on the concept of speed and acceleration. This study is a descriptive study with a population of 240 students in the engineering study program in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and a sample of 150 people based on the Taro Yamane formula. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews. The research instrument in the form of essay questions was used to measure the difficulty of calculating, mastery of concepts, interpretation of symbols, and unit conversion, and interviews aimed to determine the factors that cause learning difficulties experienced by students. The conclusion of this study shows that the main difficulty of students in learning physics lies in mastery of concepts (20.3%), followed by difficulty in converting units (17.5%) and interpreting symbols (15.9%). The lowest difficulty in calculation (1.1%). Factors such as ineffective teaching methods and lack of supporting materials affect conceptual understanding. Therefore, a more varied learning approach, the use of visual aids, and the improvement of basic mathematical skills are needed to improve students' knowledge of physics.

Abstract

Waves are vibrations that propagate, either through the media or not through the media. Sound is wave energy that comes from a sound source, namely a vibrating object. Where the purpose of this study is to find out how waves and sound affect the phenomenon of hearing. Based on the problems raised, the research method that is suitable for use is in the form of literature studies or literature studies. Literature study can be reached by collecting references consisting of several previous studies which are then compiled to draw conclusions. The sound that the human ear hears changes from a mechanical acoustic signal to an electrical signal that is passed on by the auditory nerve to the brain. The results showed that the process of hearing goes through three stages, namely the stage of transferring physical energy in the form of a sound stimulus to the hearing organ, the conversion or transduction stage, namely the conversion of the physical energy stimulation to the receiving organ and the stage of transmitting nerve impulses to the auditory cortex and of course it cannot be separated from the human hearing organ. namely ears. The process of hearing is a process that is not simple, in order to hear humans must have good hearing organs and hearing function. The organ system of hearing is divided into peripheral and central.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model in Physics Learning for Grade VII Students of SMP IT Annajiyah. This study explores the effectiveness of the guided inquiry model in teaching physics to seventh-grade students at SMP IT Annajiyah. It employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and a quasi-experimental design. The participants were students engaging in physics lessons using the guided inquiry approach. Data were collected through classroom observations to assess student participation, conceptual understanding, and responses to the learning process. The guided inquiry model was designed to actively involve students in exploration, investigation, and problem-solving under teacher guidance. The findings indicate that this approach enhances students' interest, participation, and engagement in learning activities. Thus, the guided inquiry model is an effective method for teaching physics at the middle school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji validitas buku pedoman mengenai differentiated instruction untuk penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila bagi guru IPA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model 4D, yang meliputi tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi oleh para ahli dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa komponen konstruk memperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 71,5%, komponen isi 75%, dan komponen bahasa 78%, yang seluruhnya berada pada kriteria valid. Rata-rata skor validasi keseluruhan adalah 74,8%, sehingga buku pedoman dinyatakan layak digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, buku ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru IPA dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi untuk mendukung integrasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh pemanfaatan LMS berbasis Moodle terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep pengukuran besaran listrik pada Mata Kuliah Alat Ukur Listrik bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika UMMAT Semester Genap Tahun Akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan yaitu Februari-Maret 2023. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, FKIP, UMMAT. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2022 sebanyak 13 orang yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah alat ukur listrik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pre-eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan intrumen tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berbentuk tes pemahaman konsep yang mengukur ranah kognitif. Jumlah soal sebanyak 25 soal. Adapun manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep pengkukuran besaran-besaran Listrik sehingga memudahkan dalam mengukur besaran listrik di dalam laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pemanfaatan LMS berbasis Moodle untuk menunjang pemahaman konsep mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika UMMAT Tahun Akademik 2022/2023 pada mata kuliah alat ukur listrik. Adapun nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,688 sehingga peningkatan pemahaman konsep berada mahasiswa pada alat ukur listrik berada pada kategori sedang.
