SINDANG: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah dan Kajian Sejarah merupakan berkala ilmiah Prodi Pendidikan Sejarah yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian Pengembangan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat dan Kerjasama (LP4MK) STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau. Jurnal ini memiliki ISSN 2623-2065 (Online) akan terbit dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Januari dan Desember (dalam bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris). Fokus kajian dari SINDANG: Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah dan Kajian Sejarah adalah kajian ilmiah berupa jurnal penelitian di bidang pendidikan secara umum, pendidikan sejarah, dan kajian sejarah dalam bentuk hasil penelitian, tinjauan teoretis dan konsep, metodologi, penilaian terhadap hasil penelitian, pengembangan hasil penelitian yang disesuaikan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan serta kebutuhan masyarakat luas, dan tinjauan buku.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical data about utilization of Museum Bahari in Jakarta as history learning sources for high school students or vocational high school in West Jakarta and East Jakarta. The reason the researcher wrote the research is because it is related to the 2013 Curriculum material, namely learning Indonesian History in regarding the material on the process of entry and development of European colonization basic competencies for 3.5 and 4.5.This study uses a descriptive method with survey techniques through questionnaires. Answers from respondents are described in the form of frequency tabulations or percentages obtained from questionnaires. The Study population was visitors students in class X at SMKN 26 Jakarta, students in class XI at SMKN 60 Jakarta,students in class XII at SMAN 84 Jakarta. With the number of respondents as many as 54 students obtained using cluster random sampling techniques. Based on the results of the study showed that the use of Museum Bahari in Jakarta As History Learning Sources very good. This is supported by data of 100% can help students understand the material. 100% of the collections in Museum Bahari are related to Indonesian learning material during colonialismwhich studied the arrival of Europeans ( Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Dutch) in Indonesian. 72,3% of them stated that no constraint that faced in Utilization of Museum Bahari. So it can be concluded that utilization of Museum Bahari as history learning sources is very helpful in the process of learning history. Keywords: Museum’s Utilization, History’s Learning Resources

Abstract

For a long time, South Sumatra has had a written tradition in the form of a script written in the Ulu script which developed in the Uluan area. One of the findings of the Komering variant of the Ulu script is found in Tanjung Kukuh Village, West Semendawai District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The problem of this research is how to describe and analyze the text of the contents of the manuscript. The aim of this research is to describe and understand the contents of Komering's manuscript. The method used is the philological method which presents the text and describes the physical nature of the manuscript to be studied. The results of the research show that this manuscript is made from paper and contains a letter sending money from a student to his teacher from the proceeds of buying and selling.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Application of the Project Based Learning Model in the History Subject to Improve Learning Outcome". This research is motivated by the low result of students studying history in class X.5 due to the learning model that was not yet interactive. Based on this background, the researcher formulated the research problem how to improve the learning outcome of Class X.5 students in history subject with the material for the arrival of Islam into Indonesia through the Project based Learning (PjBL) learning model. This study aimed to improve student learning outcome by using the classroom action research method (CAR) and the Kemmis and Taggart's research design consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Kemmis and Taggart's research design consists of 2 cycles. The result of this study indicated that the learning outcome of students in class X.5 Class X.5 from 22 Senior High School Students Palembang experienced an improvement during 2 class action cycles. In the pre cycle classical completeness stage that class X.5 achieved was 34%, in the first cycle stage the classical completeness achieved by class X.5 was 65%, and in the second cycle stage the classical completeness achieved by class X.5 was 86%.

Abstract

The role of History learning in space and time is very important. The values contained in the study of History are a provision for the next generation of the Indonesian nation in the future. The purpose of this research is the collaboration of teachers with the SARISEJAYA Community in improving History learning and character. In developing this research, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. This descriptive research method combined with a qualitative approach produces a work that is authentic and in accordance with the needs. In supporting the analysis system, this research uses data sources through direct observation studies in the field of how the History learning process is at the secondary and higher education levels. Then supporting reference sources from scientific papers journals and books that help in this research. History learning and character values are how the role of History learning to continue to be raised to become a favorite learning. History learning itself has local wisdom values that can help increase understanding for students. For the introduction of History learning based on local wisdom, of course, it requires a big struggle such as opportunities in the combination between the education level and the SARISEJAYA Community. Furthermore, the role of the SARISEJAYA community in strengthening History learning is very important. Teachers at the education level will be able to adapt to the times through collaboration with the SARISEJAYA Community. On the other hand, Community members will gain knowledge related to the needs of History learning in the era of globalization as it is today. the conclusion is that creating interesting learning certainly requires a huge struggle. The learning needs of students must be optimized. The combination of cooperation between the education sector and the SARISEJAYA Community in Lubuklinggau City is very good in developing good, innovative, and relevant history learning with the needs of today's students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze oral traditions in the Batu Urip Hamlet community, Lubuklinggau City, and specifically aims to describe the position of oral traditions in strengthening local wisdom values, the oral traditions that formed Batu Urip Hamlet, and the forms of oral traditions that developed in the Batu Urip community. To reconstruct various interrelated events, this research uses historical research methods which consist of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The conclusions of this research show that oral traditions in the Batu Urip community are seen as being able to strengthen local wisdom values ​​for several reasons, including: oral traditions are considered regional identity, oral traditions function as a source of local history, and oral traditions serve as conveying messages and inheritance culture. One form of oral tradition in Batu Urip Hamlet is folklore which explains the origins of Batu Urip Hamlet. Meanwhile, the types of oral traditions that developed in Batu Urip include folklore, nandai, rejung, senjang and regional songs.

Abstract

Culture is emotion, creativity and intention. Culture is the result of human production itself. Culture always coexists with tradition. This research aims to determine the symbolic meaning of wedding traditions in the Malay community in Jambi, Mersam District. Garudo riding is a community tradition in Mersam District, Mersam District, Jambi City. We can see the Naik Garudo tradition at weddings or during the procession of the bride and groom during the day. The research methodology used in writing this research consists of four stages, namely elicitation, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The types of sources used in writing this research are library research and technical historical analysis using interpretation of historical facts which include books, documents and journals related to Jambi Malay customs. The results of this research are that "garudo" or "garuda" in Indonesian is a palanquin in the shape of an eagle decorated as a bridal carriage. Garuda is carried by male and female family members. Naik Garudo has a symbolic meaning. Garudo which appears in the Jambi Malay tradition has a symbolic meaning. Garudo means strength, courage and justice. During the wedding process, using Galudo can bring blessings and good luck to the bride and groom.

Abstract

This research aims to identify Islamic culture in Jambi City. The method used in this research is a method that contains 4 stages of research types, namely, Heuristic, Source Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography. The type of source used in writing the research is secondary sources obtained from the results of library studies using historical analysis techniques using interpretation in history which includes books, documents and journals related to Islamic Culture in Jambi City. The results of this research show that Islam entered this area in 1460 AD, or around the 15th century AD. The bearer was an Arab merchant named Ahmad Salim, who later became known as "Datuk Paduka Berhala". He married a Jambi king named Mama, who was known as "Princess Selaras Pinang MasakHistory records that several Islamic boarding schools have been established since the early 20th century AD. Not only Islamic boarding schools, the legacy and culture of Islamic influence in Jambi City include religious ritual traditions in the form of commemorations of Assyura (Syuro), Burdah, Nginau, Nuak Ketan, and so on.

Abstract

This research is an article about the revitalization of senjang and rejung arts as part of the traditions of the uluan Musi community. Senjang and rejung themselves are types of spoken literary arts that developed in the people of South Sumatra, especially the Uluan Musi area. The efforts to answer the problems and analysis in this paper were carried out using qualitative methods through processes and procedures starting from collecting data through interviews, observation, documentation, then carrying out data analysis, and checking the validity of the data. From this research, the author discovered the fact that the arts of senjang and rejung are starting to be abandoned by their supporting communities and are threatened with extinction, because the Uluan Musi community is more interested in using modern music in various activities. The steps for revitalizing the arts include local content learning from primary to secondary school levels, carrying out various events and artistic activities that include the arts of sejang and rejung.

Abstract

Kesadaran sejarah merupakan elemen krusial dalam pembentukan identitas dan karakter bangsa. Melalui pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap sejarah, individu dan masyarakat dapat mengenali akar budaya, nilai-nilai, serta perjuangan yang telah dilalui oleh generasi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali bagaimana kesadaran sejarah dapat berkontribusi dalam memperkuat rasa kebangsaan dan identitas kolektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif terhadap berbagai sumber sejarah, termasuk dokumen dan sumber literatur, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran sejarah memberikan pemahaman kepada individu tentang bagaimana peristiwa-peristiwa masa lalu membentuk identitas sosial, budaya, dan politik di masa kini. Dengan memahami konteks sejarah, individu dapat melihat dirinya sebagai bagian dari proses panjang yang melibatkan interaksi antar kelompok yang berbeda, sehingga memperkuat rasa identitas kolektif dan kohesi sosial. Dalam masyarakat majemuk, sejarah sering kali menjadi sumber identitas bagi kelompok-kelompok tertentu. Ketika individu menyadari kontribusi dan pengalaman kelompok lain dalam sejarah, hal ini dapat mengurangi prasangka, stereotip, dan meningkatkan toleransi. Selain itu, kesadaran sejarah dapat membantu mengurangi konflik antar kelompok dengan memberikan perspektif yang lebih luas tentang asal-usul ketegangan sosial dan mendorong dialog untuk rekonsiliasi. Hal ini pada akhirnya memperkuat fondasi masyarakat yang inklusif dan toleran, di mana perbedaan dipahami sebagai kekuatan daripada sumber konflik. Meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah, bangsa ini dapat membangun karakter yang tangguh, menghargai perbedaan, dan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai demokrasi serta keadilan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi pendidikan sejarah yang lebih mendalam dalam kurikulum pendidikan nasional sebagai upaya untuk membentuk generasi yang sadar akan sejarah dan bertanggung jawab terhadap masa depan bangsa.

Abstract

Abstract Learning history and developing historical thinking skills is an important component of a curriculum that aims to improve students' understanding of historical events and contexts. Analytical literature study methods used for sources, understanding context, and applying various perspectives are some of the ways to improve historical thinking skills in this article. The results of this study show that learning history and developing historical thinking skills is an important aspect of education. These skills help students understand past events, analyze data critically, and bring history to bear on contemporary issues. Through an approach that emphasizes context, evidence, and perspective, students can develop critical thinking skills, awareness of cultural identity, and empathy. Overall, historical thinking skills enhance students' understanding of history and prepare them to become active and responsible citizens. Therefore, it is important for educators to integrate this approach into the curriculum. Keywords: Development, Historical Thinking, Learning, History.
