Abstract

Based on the observation in MTs Negeri Barambai Barito Kuala, integrating education character into democracy topic in any kinds of life is not developed and implimented maximally. Because there is no integrated learning design and teacher’s capability to inovate in learning, this research has the objective to create design of education character integrated into citizen  education for the topic ‘democracy’ in any kinds of life for eighth class. This research used the qualitative approach by getting the data descriptively whether in written or behavior observed. The step used in this research was adopted from the Suheri’s research design that follows the steps of Broug’s and Gall’s research. This research is also based on the steps as guide form Direktorat Pendidikan SMP Kemdikbud 2010 in integrating character education into citizen education. The research result is a model of integrated design of character education into citizen education.  Key words: Integrated Design, Character Education, Citizenship Education, and Democracy

Abstract

AbstractTeacher as the spearhead and one of the components that play a role in determining the quality of education, must always improve his knowledge and skills through the help of orther professionals, namely supervisors. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts of supervisors in development of social studies teacher is profesionalism in MIN Banjarmasin and the factors that influence it. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Data are obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) Supervisors efforts in fostering social studies teacher profesionalsm in MIN Banjarmasin based on programs that were prepared with other supervisors. Coaching efforts are still focused on class visits, interviews and meetings by using a collaborative approach. (2) These influencing factors are that supervisors rarely get training in supervision, that teacher is still reluctant to solve the problem and does not want to be supervised in class, the lack of teacher responsibility even though he has passed the teacher certification and lack technical skills and limited means.Keywords: Suopervisor, Coaching, Profesionalism, Social studies teacherAbstrakGuru sebagai ujung tombak dan satu komponen yang berperan dalam menentukan kualitas pendidikan, harus selalu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilannya melalui bantuan orang lain yang profesional, yakni Pengawas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui upaya-upaya yang dilakukan pengawas dalam pembinaan profesional guru IPS pada MIN kota Banjarmasin serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukakan bahwa (1) upaya pengawas dalam membina profesional guru IPS pada MIN Kota Banjarmasin didasarkan pada program yang disusun bersama pengawas lainnya. Upaya pembinaan masih terfokus kepada kunjungan kelas, wawancara dan rapat dengan menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif. (2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, yaitu pengawas jarang mendapatkan diklat dan pelatihan tentang kepengawasan, guru masih kurang mau menyelesaikan masalahnya dan tidak mau disupervisi kelas, rendahnya tanggung jawab meskipun lulus sertifikasi guru, serta kurang penguasaan skill teknologi dan sarana terbatas.Kata Kunci: Pengawas, Pembinaan, Profesional, Guru IPS

Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyzed Effects of family socioeconomic status and learning environment influence on student achievement in social studies SMP Se District of Batu Ampar Tanah Laut district. The Methodology of this study used a quantitative approach with a regression method or seek influence. Total population in this research consisted of 456 students with a sampling technique using proportional random sampling, sample size of 213 students. Analysis of the data is used descriptive analysis and T test analysis. The results showed that the status of the results of the level of influence of family economic status and learning environment influence on student achievement in social studies SMP Se District of Batu Ampar Tanah Laut district. Then the results from the 0000 level of effect is variable economic status and learning environment on learning achievement. This means that the economic status of the family and the learning environment influence on learning achievements. Based on these results it is suggested parents should be able to give encouragement to their children in order to improve their learning achievement in social studies.Keywords: Family Economic Status, Environmental Learning, Student Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: Problem-based learning model is learning that uses various thinking abilities of students individually or in groups.  The purpose of PBL is to improve the ability to apply concepts to new / real problems, the desire to learn, direct self-learning, and skills.  Critical thinking is thinking reasoned and reflective with an emphasis on making decisions about what to believe or do.  The ability to think critically will arise in students if during the learning process in the classroom, the teacher builds patterns of interaction and communication that emphasizes the process of actively forming knowledge by students.Key words : Problem based learning, critical thinking Abstrak: Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah merupakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan berbagai kemampuan berpikir peserta didik secara individu maupun kelompok. Tujuan PBL adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam menerapkan konsep-konsep pada permasalahan baru/nyata, keinginan dalam belajar, mengarahkan belajar diri sendiri, dan keterampilan. Berpikir kritis  adalah  berpikir  secara  beralasan  dan  reflektif  dengan menekankan  pada  pembuatan  keputusan  tentang  apa  yang  harus dipercayai  atau  dilakukan.  Kemampuan  berpikir  kritis  akan muncul dalam diri siswa apabila selama proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas, guru membangun  pola  interaksi  dan  komunikasi  yang  lebih  menekankan  pada  proses pembentukan  pengetahuan  secara  aktif  oleh  siswa.Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has triggered chaos in various fields of life globally, including education. Holding activities to gain knowledge together is no longer recommended to be held. Many countries eliminate face-to-face learning and replace it with online learning line. This policy was implemented to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. In line with these efforts, campuses as a place to forge themselves with knowledge also need to have a strategy to help reduce the spread of Covid-19. Efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the campus environment will be in line with the government's appeal, namely to organize online learning at home. Online learning creates logical consequences, for the perpetrators, both for students and teachers. One side of online learning is an alternative to minimizing the possibility of crowding, but online learning also creates challenges to present material in a manner that can accommodate scientific demands. Despite the challenges, online learning is certainly expected to foster an attitude of optimism, provide challenges and opportunities to develop student innovation, creativity, capacity, personality and needs. The solution, lecturers are required to have abilities in the field of learning technology. Another logical consequence is that higher education leaders must be active in optimizing the performance of using online facilities for all lecturers, students, and educational staff.

Abstract

This study focused on answering the research problems: 1) How the description of Panting Music in Banjarmasin is, 2) How the development process of Panting Music in Banjarmasin is, 3) What social values are in Panting Music, and 4) What norms are contained in the social values?. This study was used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which was not limited to data collection and compilation, but includes the analysis and interpretation of the data meaning. This study is based on the theory that assesses the function and form of Panting Music performance in South Kalimantan. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the function of the music has undergone many development. At first, Panting Music is referred to as a musical accompaniment of Bajapin art, where Panting has a function just as a supplementary part in the Bajapin. As the development of the Panting itself, it does not only serve as a dance accompaniment of Bajapin anymore, but also as the art of Panting. As one of the traditional arts that develop in the community, Panting is also as a medium to tighten the relationship between fellow citizens serves as entertainment, education, and high religious values contents.Keywords: Panting Music, description,development process, social value, social norms

Abstract

Study achievement of Social Science The rare of low economic resource item . The purpose of the research is to describe the using quantum learning model  to increase students achievement and students’ responses to the rare of economic resource item class VIII A of SMP Negeri 2 Jaro. This research is research class action. In this research, there are begin by planning, class action, and reflection. There are two steps (cycles) in this research. The sample in this research is Class VIII A with 20 students; 9 boys, and 11 girls. The research was began 16 july up to 30 November 2012.  The result of this research shown that 1) Quantum Learning model can increase study achievement of social science the rare of economic resource class VIIIA SMP Negeri 2 Jaro with good achievement, 2) the applying of Quantum model not only in the process but also in the result can be increased,especially the students class VIIIA of SMP Negeri 2 Jaro. It is because there are relationships the characteristic of quantum learning with the purpose of social science at SMP. And  3) the applying of Quantum model  can increase positive responses to to the students while in the teaching and learning process. The all affects are to the students’ activity which active and communicative in teaching and learning process. The researcher suggest that the teacher of social science especially economic science should using Quantum Learning model to increase students’ achievement. To the teacher who wants applying Quantum Learning model in the classes should understand the basics of quantum and act as quantum. To fix and increase students’ responses are hopely to the teacher  while in the teaching and learning process use the method, model which is attractive and flexible. Abstract

In curriculum 2013 subjects geography grouped in a subjects the social science so the assessment more directed at the point of view of the existence and human activity influenced by dynamics of the physical. This study aims to obtain objective information about the implementation of curriculum 2013. This study adopted an method to inductive qualitative to explore qualitatively every finding in the field. Key person (community leaders and government officers) as source of invaluable information was selected purposive sampling. Ap proaches such as indepth interviews and observation, provide useful tools in primary data collection. Secondary data are mainly collected by literature study and documents study.Based on the results of the study found that the obstacles experienced by the school has two aspects, (a) communication less intensive, causing lack of understanding of the curriculum 2013 material in their entirety among in schools; (b) weak supervision and monitoring aspects, causing the schools do not know in which a part in the document of curriculum 2013 and implementation still need to improved with the provisions. Factors that affects the implementation of the curriculum 2013 at the school, covering four factors: (a) communication, (b) human resources, (c) the policy, and (d) environment in order to improve the quality of human resources in the implementation of the program curriculum of 2013, it needs to be emphasized the importance of efforts to improve the quality, frequency, and equitable education and training activities, workshops, and other similar activities.Keywords: Curriculum 2013, learning, and geography Kurikulum 2013 mata pelajaran geografi dikelompokkan pada rumpun Mata Pelajaran Peminatan Ilmu-ilmu Sosial sehingga kajiannya lebih diarahkan pada sudut pandang keberadaan dan aktivitas manusia yang dipengaruhi oleh dinamika alam fisik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi objektif mengenai pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode induktif kualitatif. Metode ini memungkinkan peneliti mengeksplorasi setiap temuan di lapangan, yang dijelaskan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Tokoh kunci dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu menentukan objek/subjek sesuai tujuan. Berbagai pendekatan seperti wawancara mendalam dan observasi, menjadi alat yang penting dalam pengumpulan data primer. Pangumpulan data sekunder dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dan studi dokumen.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa Tahap persiapan yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran yang diwujudkan dengan kegiatan penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) geografi. Tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran geografi merupakan implementasi dari RPP dan kegiatannya meliputi tahap pendahuluan, inti dan penutup. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013 disekolah, yaitu meliputi empat faktor: (a) komunikasi, (b) sumber daya manusia, (c) isi kebijakan , dan (d) lingkungan.Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya manusia dalam pelaksanaan program Kurikulum 2013, maka perlu ditekankan pentingnya upaya peningkatan kualitas, frekuensi, dan pemerataan kegiatan pendidikan dan pelatihan, workshop, dan kegiatan lain yang sejenis.Kata Kunci: Kurikulum 2013, pembelajaran, dan geografi

Abstract

In principle, the government's efforts to continue to advance education is as a part of 12 years educational development in Berangas village, East Pulau Laut district of Kotabaru regency. By requiring children to study up to 12 years, it is hoped that they will be able to find out what steps should be taken to implement totally. The approach used in this study was a qualitative approach with a case study. Sources of data were parents, students, principals, teachers and school committee as well as documents relating to the school and Berangas village. The results revealed that: (1) The role of 12 years education in Berangas village, East Pulau Laut district of Kotabaru regency, clarifies that this policy is made to develop education and improve the human quality in Indonesia, (2) the parents’ role in 12 years educationin Berangas village, East Pulau Laut district of Kotabaru regency finds a lot of advantages and disadvantages. It can be viewed from educational equity and completion of 12 years education, (3) The impact of free education can be measured by several variables including the completion of 12 years education in Berangas village, as well as schools’ quality improvement and the extent of the increasing participation of children to education, (4) The constraints of 12 years education in Berangas village did not run well; therefore, this policy has an impact on the achievement of 12 years education.Keywords: Parents’ Role, Children Participation

Abstract

AbstractSocial studies have an important role in the formation of social skills by applying the five principles of meaningful learning, integrative, value-based, challenging and active. Environment behaviors and interpersonal behaviors are included in social skills that affect job readiness on industrial work practices. The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of environment behaviors and interpersonal behaviors to the readiness of work on industrial work practices. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. Subjects of students of Accounting and Office Administration expertise. The object of this study is the skills of social environment behaviors and interpersonal behaviors in industrial work practices. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analyzed through SPSS and calculation of description. The results showed that: 1) the contribution of environment behaviors by 75.5% in high level. 2) the contribution of interpersonal behaviors of 17.9% in very low level and 3) the contribution of environment behaviors and interpersonal behaviors in the readiness of industrial work practices 61.6% in high level.Keywords: Environment, Green Behaviors, Interpersonal, Social Studies, Job Readiness.AbstrakIPS berperan penting dalam pembentukan keterampilan sosial dengan menerapkan prinsip meaningful learning, integrative, value-based, challenging dan active. Perilaku lingkungan (environment behaviors)  dan  perilaku interpersonal (interpersonal behaviors) termasuk dalam keterampilan sosial yang mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja pada praktik kerja industri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kontribusi environment behaviors dan interpersonal behaviors terhadap kesiapan kerja pada praktik kerja industri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Muhammadiyah 3 Banjarmasin keahlian Akuntansi dan Administrasi Perkantoran. Objek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan sosial environment behaviors dan interpersonal behaviors dalam praktik kerja industri. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisa melalui SPSS dan perhitungan deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kontribusi environment behaviors sebesar 75,5% dalam level tinggi. 2) kontribusi interpersonal behaviors sebesar  17,9% dalam level sangat rendah dan 3) kontribusi environment behaviors dan interpersonal behaviors dalam kesiapan kerja praktik kerja industri sebesar 61,6% dalam level tinggi.Kata Kunci: Environment Behaviors, Interpersonal Behaviors, IPS, Kesiapan Kerja.
