Abstract

The existence of school cooperation is not running maximally. The assumption of this condition is that the system of management is poor and lack of participation or role of the students in the cooperative. This research is aimed at: 1) getting an overview of school cooperation at SMP Negeri Banjarbaru, 2) knowing whether schools can grow the participation of students in cooperative, 3) determining whether school cooperation at SMP Negeri Banjarbaru deserves to be as one of learning resources of IPS, and 4) determining how cooperative can function as a source of social science.This study used a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that : (1) The existence of school cooperative at SMP Negeri Banjarbaru is less noticed by the school as a source of social sciences, (2) The school cooperative at SMP Negeri Banjarbaru has not been able to grow participation of students in the cooperative, (3) School Cooperative at SMP Negeri Banjarbaru is not 100% suitable to be used as a source of social sciences, and (4) the school cooperative which can be used as a source of social sciences is the school cooperative which possesses a cooperative component or device.Keywords: Cooperative, Resources, Learning, Students

Abstract

This study aimed to describe parenting peasant family in the Loklahung village. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. The results showed family upbringing farmers in the Loklahung in education patterns parenting authoritative (democratic), in terms of discipline pattern of parenting authoritarian, the impact of social changes that occur in the family in the Loklahung village not only the mother who is in charge of taking care of children but father also took part in parenting and the mother is also involved in making a living as farm stays and weaving baskets, and parenting peasant family in the village of Loklahung in shaping children's character based on the character values such as the nature respect and respect for others are responsible, fair, and caring social studies can be used as a source of learning that focuses on value (value-based).Keywords: parenting, family farmers, values, social studies learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the students' motivation and study result of X5 SMA Negeri 3 Banjarmasin to deviant behavior material which can be improved by using student teams achievement division (STAD) as teaching strategy.The Method which used on this classroom action research is qualitative analysis, which emphasizes on the research problem especially in improving the motivation and study result of students in sociology. Therefore, the problem can be identified and analyzed then found alternative solutions, there 35 students as samples on X5 class SMA Negeri 3 BanjarmasinThe results of the research shows that: (1) motivation to study sociology on X5 students of SMA Negeri 3 Banjarmasin while using STAD as teaching strategy is improved, (2) the study result of X5 students of SMA Negeri 3 Banjarmasin on sociology by using STAD as teaching strategy s increased, (3) the X5 students of SMA Negeri 3 Banjarmasin response on the use of teaching strategy like STAD shows that the students like and enjoy studying sociology by using STAD as a teaching strategy.Kata Kunci:  motivasi, hasil belajar, STAD, sosiologi

Abstract

Based on the observations made on particular women from Madurese ethnics living in Kampung Gadang, there are many changes on perspectives towards social-status, social-cultural environment and education orientation. The method used in this study was a qualitative method. The data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis of the data used in the qualitative analysis include data reduction, data presentation and draw conclusions. The results of this study were: (1) the social status of Madurese women in Kampung Gadang was not different from the social status of Madurese women in general. All women who lived inone house got the same duties. Madurese women were allowed to work when they were in the teen years,even mostly just graduated from junior high schools. Madurese women suffered from limitations in terms of education. (2) Madurese women’s social environment such as the languages used were Indonesian, Madurese and Banjarese language. An attitude of helping has been maintained, they obeyed Islamic principles well and respect the powerful figure of clerics (preacher). These women in terms of clothing looked simple but they liked wearing jewelry. (3) they had varied orientation of education. The conclusion from this study was that school was important for the women but it was more important to study religion (faith) of Islam. Reasons fornot attending school were ranging from laziness, economy condition and parent’s beliefs that schools were not important. Though they had a desire to pursue education.Key Word : Social-Status, Social-Cultural Environment, Education Orientation Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan pada wanita tertentu dari etnis Madura yang tinggal di Kampung Gadang, ada banyak perubahan pada perspektif terhadap status sosial, lingkungan sosial-budaya dan orientasi pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam analisis kualitatif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) status sosial perempuan Madura di Kampung Gadang tidak berbeda dari status sosial perempuan Madura pada umumnya. Semua wanita yang tinggal rumah inone mendapat tugas yang sama. perempuan Madura diizinkan untuk bekerja ketika mereka berada di usia remaja, bahkan kebanyakan hanya lulusan SMP. perempuan Madura menderita keterbatasan dalam hal pendidikan. (2) lingkungan sosial perempuan Madura ini seperti bahasa yang digunakan adalah bahasa Indonesia, Madura dan bahasa Banjar. Sikap membantu telah dipertahankan, mereka menaati prinsip-prinsip Islam dengan baik dan menghormati tokoh kuat dari ulama (pendeta). Perempuan ini dalam hal pakaian tampak sederhana namun mereka suka memakai perhiasan. (3) mereka memiliki beragam orientasi pendidikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sekolah adalah penting bagi perempuan tapi itu lebih penting untuk mempelajari agama (iman) Islam. Alasan fornot menghadiri sekolah yang mulai dari kemalasan, kondisi ekonomi dan kepercayaan orang tua bahwa sekolah tidak penting. Meskipun mereka memiliki keinginan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan.Kata Kunci: Sosial-Status, Lingkungan Sosial-Budaya, Orientasi Pendidikan

Abstract

This study background come from condition of geography lesson at SMAN 3 Barabai especially, at XI IPS 3 class show students result lesson is not yet reach minimum achievement value that is decided by school namely 70. The research is used action research method. Purpose of this research namely: for knowing activity and students result study with using STAD lesson model can increase.This research is action class research that is done with 2 cycles. Data collecting technique that is used teacher learning implementation. Result of cycle I research states from 37 present students learning process activity 40,16%, unactive 59,84%. Cycle II from present students learning process activity 76,54%, unactive 23,46% while result study from cycle I average get 54,73 while value at cycle II average 87,30. So, after learning with STAD model happen increase of result study. Keywords: Activity, Result Study, Geography, Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Model.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to describe the process of social studies using a contextual learning model and improve critical thinking skills in social studies for grade IX students of SMPN 4 Karang Intan. This research is a Class Action Research with the model of Kemmis and Taggart. The research subjects were students of grade IX of SMPN 4 Karang Intan, amounting to 24 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation sheets, interview guidelines, test questions, and field notes. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The results show that the application of contextual learning models can improve critical thinking skills of IPS. The enhancement of students critical thinking skills is indicated by cognitive assessments obtained by students at the end of each cycle. Based on the results of pre-test analysis until the end of the second cycle the average score of critical thinking skills achieved by students, namely from the activities of pre-test to cycle I percentage obtained by 14% to 67%, an increase of 53% of students who were completed, while the percentage of critical thinking from cycle I to cycle II was 67% to 88% an increase of 21% of students who experienced completeness in the ability to think critically, KKM students were 75 while the minimum percentage of indicators of success of this study at least 70% of all students must meet the KKM categorized into moderate, based on the results of this study that the ability to think critically students of SMP Negeri 4 Karang Intan can increase through the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models, an increase of 88% of students have met the KKM from critical thinking indicators included in the category high. so that the learning process using the model is successful.Keywords : Students Critical Thinking Ability with CTL Approach Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPS pada peserta didik kelas IX SMPN 4 Karang Intan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek penelitiannya adalah peserta didik kelas IX SMPN 4 Karang Intan yang berjumlah 24 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, soal tes, dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPS. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPS peserta didik ditunjukkan dengan penilaian kognitif yang diperoleh peserta didik pada setiap akhir siklus.Berdasarkan hasil analisis prates sampai akhir siklus II rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dicapai peserta didik yaitu dari kegiatan prates ke siklus I persentasi yang diperoleh sebesar 14% menjadi 67%, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 53% peserta didik yang sudah tuntas, sedangkan persentasi berfikir kritis dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 67% menjadi 88% terjadi peningkatan sebesar 21% peserta didik yang mengalami ketuntasan  dalam kemampuan berfikir kritis, KKM peserta didik yaitu 75 sedangkan persentasi minimal dari indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini minimal 70% dari seluruh peserta didik harus memenuhi KKM yang tergolong kedalam katagori sedang, berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa kemapuan berfikir kritis peserta didik SMP Negeri 4 Karang Intan dapat meningkat melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kontektual/Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), mengalami peningkatan sebesar 88% peserta didik telah memenuhi KKM dari asfek indikator berfikir kritis yang termasuk dalam katagori tinggi. sehingga proses pembelajaran menggunakan model tersebut berhasil.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Peserta didik dengan Pendekatan CTL

Abstract

The assigment is made for students could learn to practice. This research aims to find out the correlation between the students’ perception toward assignment and students’ interest to learn Geography, between the students’ perception toward assignment and students’ achievment to learn Geography, between the students’ interest toward assignment and students’ achievment to learn Geography, between the students’ perception partially toward assignment and students’ interest toward students’ achievment to learn Geography. This research is based on quanitative approach, using random sampling in which X and XI IPS are taken as the sample. The research result states that there is correlation between the students’ perception and assignment in which the correlation score 0,666 wiht the significance of sig. 0,000 < 0,05, there is no significant correlation between  the students’ perception toward assignment and students’achievment toward learning Geography in which it says 0,056 with the signifance of sig. 0,523 > 0,05, there is no correlation between the students’ interest toward assignment and students’ achievment toward learning Geography in which it says 0,001 with the significance of sig. 0,991 > 0,05, and it is the most dominant factor based on partial correlation, namely 0,667 with the significance of 0,000 < 0,05, so Ho is refused.Key Words: students’ perception, assignment, interest, achievment, and Geography

Abstract

Kurangnya partisipasi belajar siswa saat peroses pembelajaran IPS pada siswa-siswi kelas VII di MTS Ahmad Yani Jabung Kabupaten Malang.  Adanya problematika tersebut penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) karena model ini dianggap tepat dalam meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa-siswi kelas VII pada pembelajaran IPS yang dapat membantu dalam membangun karakter sosial siswa seperti berpikir kritis, kecakapan berkomunikasi, berkolaborasi serta mendorong minat belajar dan partisipasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di MTS Ahmad Yani Jabung Kabupaten Malang dalam 3 siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan selama 2 kali pertemuan, subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII A sebanyak 27 orang siswa. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) untuk pembelajaran IPS. (2) Mengetahui bagaimana partisipasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournaments (TGT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) dapat meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa di MTs Ahmad Yani Jabung Kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

This classroom action research is motivated learning conditions IPS in SMP Negeri 3 Belawang particular class VIII A shows the very low interest in learning and learning outcomes that have not reached the minimum standard of thoroughness is 68. The exact cause is lack of teaching and learning strategies are applied, thus requiring their approach and a suitable method in learning. The hypothesis in this study is action If implemented cooperative learning model tife Scrambel, then the interest and student learning outcomes VIIIA class in SMPN 3 Belawang will increase. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method, commonly known by the term Classroom Action Research, which is a scrutiny of the learning activities in the form of an action, which is deliberately raised and occur within a class together. Based on the first cycle there is an increase in total score of 2.00 out of a score of 75.57 into a 77.57 score in spite of the increase in the average score of the class in the first cycle small however, can be overcome with improved learning outcomes in the second cycle is counted from 75.21 into 80.15 as well as the classical completeness also increased from post test cycle 1 at 78.57 percent and the post test cycle 2 at 82.14 percent.Keywords: Interest, Learning Outcomes, IPS, Model Scrambel

Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to: 1) find out how the variety of motifs contained in sasirangan, 2) find out how the existence of sasirangan in modern times, 3) find out how the values contained in the sasirangan motifs. This research used a qualitative method. The research process was done by observing, collecting, and analyzing data to understand the existing problems and then describe in accordance with the sasirangan phenomenon in Banjarmasin. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The result of the research shows that: 1) the variety of motifs contained in the sasirangan is taken from the natural objects which are found in South Kalimantan. The shapes are perpendicular lines and curved that strung together so it has a high artistic value. 2) The existence of the motifs contained in Sasirangan has developed quite rapidly when Sasirangan experienced a shift from the original function as a ritual fabric into a modern fabric or modification. The number of new motifs is due to the market demand for Sasirangan to keep up with times. In addition, with increasing market demand for sasirangan fabrics also make more sasirangan craftsmen. 3) The values contained in the sasirangan motifs are representative of the Banjar society's culture. Sasirangan taken from the values of Banjar community itself makes Sasirangan different from other fabrics.Key Words: Values, cultures, motifs, Sasirangan AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui bagaimana ragam motif yang terdapat pada kain sasirangan, 2) mengetahui bagaimana eksistensi kain sasirangan di zaman modern saat ini, 3) mengetahui bagaimana nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam motif kain sasirangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Proses penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati, mengumpulkan, dan menganalisis data untuk memahami persoalan yang ada dan kemudian mendeskripsikan sesuai dengan fenomena sasirangan yang ada di Banjarmasin. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ragam motif yang terdapat pada kain sasirangan diambil dari benda-benda alam yang banyak terdapat di daerah Kalimantan Selatan. Bentuknya berupa garis tegak lurus dan garis lengkung yang dirangkai sehingga mempunyai nilai seni yang tinggi. 2) Eksistensi motif yang terdapat pada Kain Sasirangan mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat ketika Sasirangan mengalami pergeseran fungsi dari semula sebagai kain ritual menjadi kain modern atau modifikasi. Banyaknya motif baru ini dikarenakan adanya permintaan pasar agar Sasirangan mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Selain itu dengan meningkatnya permintaan pasar akan kain sasirangan membuat pengrajin sasirangan semakin banyak. 3) Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam motif kain sasirangan merupakan representatif dari budaya Masyarakat Banjar. Sasirangan yang diambil dari nilai-nilai masyarkat Banjar itu sendiri menjadikan Sasirangan berbeda dengan kain-kain lainnya.Kata Kunci: Nilai, kebudayaan, motif, Sasirangan
