Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve the Students Social Skills through STAD Model, Knowing The Implementation of STAD Model on increasing the Students Social Skills, and Knowing the Response of Students towards STAD Model on learning IPS. The steps of STAD Model consist of a Class Presentation, Working Group/Team, Quiz, Individual Progress Scores and Recognition Team. This is done because of Students Social Skills are very important to develop on Teaching and Learning Process in Schools so it would be used in the future on social life of the students.The study is planned in 2 cycles which include Planning, Implementation, Observations/Data Collection and Reflection. Classroom Action Research was conducted in VIIIB Class of SMPN 1 Gunung Timang, Barito Utara Regency ofCentral Kalimantan. Data collection methods include Observation, Student Worksheet, Test, Field Notes and Documentation. Analysis Data Technique consists of Validation Data and Interpretation of Qualitative Data.The result of this research showed that based on the data observation sheet of Student Social Skill in cycle I (3,27) is good criteria and cycle II (3,36) is also of good criteria. Based on observation of Student Social Skills on cycle I, that is, cooperation includes turn-taking/sharing, respecting/honoring, assisting/helping. Self Control consists of obeying instructions and controlling emotions. Sharing ideas and experiences include expressing ideas and receivingopinions increase in cycle II. Student Response in Cycle I (91,03%) is good and on the cycle II (95%) is also good.It is concluded that the STAD model can improve the Students Social Skills, the Implementation of STAD model on Learning IPS is good and Students Response on taking part in STAD model learning is also good.Key Word : Social Skills, STAD Model and Social Studies. Tujuan penelitian adalah meningkatkan Keterampilan Sosial Siswa melalui model STAD, Mengetahui Implementasi Model STAD dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Sosial Siswa dan Mengetahui Respon Siswa terhadap Model STAD dalam Pembelajaran IPS. Langkah-langkah Model STAD terdiri dari Presentasi Kelas, Kerja kelompok/Tim, Kuis, Skor Kemajuan Individual dan Rekognisi Tim. Hal ini dilakukan karena Keterampilan Sosial Siswa sangat perlu di bentuk dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar di Sekolah sehingga berguna kelaknya dalam kehidupan sosial siswa. Penelitian direncanakan dalam 2 siklus yaitu meliputi Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Pengamatan/Pengumpulan Data dan Refleksi. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan di Kelas VIIIB SMPN 1 Gunung Timang, Kabupaten Barito Utara, Kalimantan Tengah. Metode Pengumpulan Data meliputi Observasi, Lembar Kerja Siswa, Tes, Catatan Lapangan dan Dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis Data terdiri dari  Validasi dan Interpretasi data Kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan data lembar observasi Keterampilan Sosial Siswa siklus I (3,27) kriteria baik dan pada siklus II (3,36) kriteria baik. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan Keterampilan Sosial Siswa pada siklus I yaitu Kerjasama meliputi bergiliran/berbagi, menghargai/menghormati, membantu/menolong, Kontrol Diri meliputi mengikuti petunjuk dan mengontrol emosi, Berbagi Ide dan Pengalaman meliputi menyampaikan pendapat dan menerima pendapat mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II. Respon Siswa pada Siklus I (91,03 %) baik dan pada siklus II (95 %) baik. Disimpulkan bahwa model STAD dalam Pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan Keterampilan Sosial Siswa, Implementasi Model STAD dalam Pembelajaran IPS sudah baik serta Respon Siswa dalam mengikuti Pembelajaran model STAD juga sudah baik.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Sosial, Model STAD dan IPS

Abstract

Pedagogical competencies include the capabilities to manage learners, to design and to implement teaching and learning process, to assess students’ achievement and to develop students’ potential actualization. The pedagogical competence of the social science teachersof SMPN 1 Haruyan, this research formulates the problems as follows: (1) How is the pedagogical competence of IPS teachers in designing the teaching and learning process of social science?, (2) How is the pedagogical competence of IPS teachersin conducting the teaching and learning process? (3) How is the pedagogical competence of IPS teachers in using the instructional media? and (4) How is the pedagogical competence of IPS teachersin conducting the evaluation for teaching and learning process .The research method used is descriptive qualitative conducted to the IPS teachers of SMPN 1 Haruyan.Based on the results this research shows that (1) the IPS teachers do not fully have the pedagogical competence in planning the teaching and learning process  because they have never involved in identifying the students’ learning needs. (2) the IPS teachers do not fully have pedagogical competence in performing the teaching and learning process because they do not always carry out the teaching and learning process in accordance with the procedures in the RPP, (3) the pedagogical competence of IPS teachers in using instructional media is still lacking because only one teacher that sometimes use laptop, computer, LCD, speaker, and internet. (4) the IPS teachers do not always conducted the evaluation of teaching and learning process because they do not always carry out pre-test and post-test on each lesson.Key words: Pedagogical competency, Social Science Teachers

Abstract

AbstractThe background of the writing is to lift, assemble and seek Arab Social Activities in the Arab village, as well as make it as a source of IPS Learning. The purpose of this writing is that we understand the life and social activities of diversity that see each other religiously as Arab villagers. The religious social activities of Arabs in Banjarmasin which are used as learning resources of social studies and can be performed by reviewing the religious social activities of Arab community that is religious, which is constektual for high school students / equal. In this paper used several things, systematic, factual and accurate to the facts, the nature and the relationship phenomenon. Interviews were conducted with Arab figures and people skilled in the art and qualified as informants. From the results of interviews in the data. Social Activity of creatures occurs directly through religious activities. The results show that the Arab village in Antasan Kecil Barat is a village that has a high religious value. This is a national character that can be used as a source of IPS lesson that is constektual for high school students/ equal.Keywords: Religious Social activity, Arab community, learning sources of social studies AbstrakLatar belakang penulisan adalah untuk mengangkat, merakit dan mencari Kegiatan Sosial Arab di desa Arab, serta menjadikannya sebagai sumber Pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah agar kita memahami kehidupan dan aktivitas sosial keanekaragaman yang melihat satu sama lain secara agama sebagai warga desa Arab. Kegiatan sosial keagamaan orang-orang Arab di Banjarmasin yang digunakan sebagai sumber belajar ilmu sosial dan dapat dilakukan dengan meninjau kembali aktivitas sosial keagamaan komunitas Arab yang bersifat religius, yang merupakan konstektual bagi siswa SMA / sederajat. Dalam tulisan ini digunakan beberapa hal, sistematis, faktual dan akurat terhadap fakta, sifat dan fenomena hubungan. Wawancara dilakukan dengan tokoh-tokoh Arab dan orang-orang yang terampil dalam bidang ini dan memenuhi syarat sebagai informan. Dari hasil wawancara di data. Aktivitas sosial makhluk terjadi langsung melalui kegiatan keagamaan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa desa Arab di Antasan Kecil Barat adalah desa yang memiliki nilai agama tinggi. Ini adalah karakter nasional yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber pelajaran IPS yang konstektual bagi siswa SMA/sederajat.Kata Kunci: Kegiatan sosial keagamaan, komunitas arab, sumber belajar IPS

Abstract

The research aimed are: (1)Increasing the learning outcomes of students class XI Social Science 4 on Economic course by using STAD model of cooperative learning, (2) Describing the activities of the students of class XI IPS 4 by using STAD model, (3)Describing the application of STAD model on Economic course for the students of class XI IPS 4. This research also designed and prepared by using action research. The subjects were the students of class XI IPS 4 SMAN 1 in Barabai year 2013/2014. Meanwhile, the objects for the research were the learning outcomes and students’ activities in the application of STAD model of cooperative learning. As the result showed that: (1) Students’ learning outcomes of economic course of class XI IPS 4 of SMAN 1 Barabai year 2013 / 2014 can be increased by using Students Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) model of cooperative learning, with learing success of 91.18%, (2) Students’ activeness was achieved by using the model in which 80% of students were in active classification and in considerable active as much as 20%, (3) The quality aspects of the teaching and learning management conducted by the teacher by using the model was optimal, namely as much as 66.68% was in good classification, whereas 33.33% was in very good classification.Keywords : Learning Outcomes, Economics Subject, Cooperative Learning, STAD Model

Abstract

The success of students is inseparable from the role of the teacher in improving their competence by forming Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). The quality of social studies learning needs to be measured by assessments oriented to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Social studies combines the concepts of geography, sociology, economics, and history with the application of developing nationalism, strengthening national attitudes, and being able to work together in a plural society as citizens, citizens and world citizens. MGMP of Social Studies is expected to have the ability and skills to make questions and learning assessments oriented to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to improve the quality of assessment and is expected to improve the quality of graduate students.Keberhasilan peserta didik tidak lepas dari peran guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensinya dengan membentuk Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Kualitas pembelajaran IPS perlu diukur dengan penilaian yang berorientasi pada Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Pembelajaran IPS memadukan konsep geografi, sosiologi, ekonomi, dan sejarah dengan penerapan mengembangkan nasionalisme, memperkokoh sikap kebangsaan, dan mampu bekerjasama dalam masyarakat majemuk selaku warga masyarakat, warga negara dan warga dunia. MGMP IPS diharapkan memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan membuat soal serta penilaian pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) untuk meningkatkan kualitas penilaian dan diharapkan meningkatkan kualitas lulusan peserta didik.

Abstract

The research location is in Middle School Sungai Tabuk 3 and Sungai Tabuk 4. Sungai Tabuk is a sub-district in Banjar Regency with a high threat level of floods and forest and land fires. Data collection through questionnaires, observation, and tests competence students. Data analysis with t test. The results showed 140 social studies teachers in Banjar Regency 56.6% had integrated natural disasters in social studies learning, the model developed was modified scientific inquiry learning frompre-disaster, disaster events, and post-disaster. There is an increase in student competence regarding disaster risk reduction, where t (count)> t (table) on trials first at SMPN 4 with trials second at SMPN 3. These findings lead to the conclusion that learning scientific with effective inquiry for student disaster risk reduction, relevant for social studies learning, relevant to increasing student activity, an effective inquiry model for improving the quality of social studies learning processes and products in junior high schools. The findings of this study have positive implications for the development of social studies learning about natural disasters in junior high schools. The practical implications of the findings of this study are an increase in the ability of social studies teachers and the socialization of inquiry models for reductionrisk disaster in Junior High School

Abstract

The subject of Economy, specially Accountancy major was the most important lesson in life and for the students it can raise curiosity, fairness, hard work, dicipline and creative and innovative interpreneurship. The problem which is faced nowadays is that economy/accountancy with the main topic Journal of Adaptation is percepived as the difficult lesson for some students. In addition, the teachers do not implement learning model maximally, as the consequence of this condition causes students have less interest in studying it and the result of studying is low. In this research the aspects studied were student learning activity, student’s interest, studying result and student response by using Learning Cycle Model in Accountancy lesson with main topic Journal of Adaptation. This research is a classroom action research with quatitaive approach. The result of this reseach shows that student learning activity increased; in cycle I was 3,20 (not good ) and in cycle II became 4 (good );  students’ interest  in learning at cycle II was 49,74 % (enough)  in second II became 98,05 (very good). The result of studying in cycle II was 78,96 and in cycle II increased became 85,45. The completeness in cycle I was 21 % and in cycle II was 100%. From response using questionnaire it is stated 75,8% of students agreed and liked Learning Cycle Model for accountancy with main topic Journal of Adaptation. In the teaching and learning accountancy the teachers are expected to be able to use various models in learning process in order that it can raise the interest of studying and the result of studying becomes higher.Key Word: Studying of Learning Cycle Model, interest, the result of studying, accountancy Mata pelajaran Ekonomi/Akuntansi adalah mata pelajaran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan dan bagi siswa dapat menunbuhkan rasa ingin tahu, jujur, kerja keras,disiplin dan dapat menumbuhkan rasa kewirausahaan yaitu kreatif dan inovatif. Masalah yang dihadapi sekarang ini mata pelajaran Ekonomi/Akuntansi pokok bahasan Jurnal penyesuaian dipersepsikan sebagai pelajaran yang sulit bagi sebagian anak, disamping itu guru kurang maksimal dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran, sehingga kondisi ini menyebabkan siswa kurang berminat dalam belajar dan memiliki hasil belajar rendah. Penelitian ini aspek yang diteliti adalah Aktivitas Belajar siswa, minat belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning cycle pada pelajaran Akuntansi pokok bahasan jurnal penyesuaian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat pada siklus I sebesar 3,20 ( kurang baik) dan pada siklus II menjadi 4( baik), minat belajar siswa pada  siklus I sebesar 49,74% (cukup) pada  siklus  II meningkat menjadi 98,05 (sangat baik). Hasil belajar siklus I sebesar 78,96 dan  siklus II meningkat menjadi 85,45, Ketuntasan saat siklus I sebesar  21% dan siklus II ketuntasan 100%. Dari hasil respon melalui angket dinyatakan 75,8% siswa setuju dan senang dengan model Learning cycle (siklus belajar) pada mata pelajaran akuntansi pokok bahasan jurnal penyesuaian. Guru diharapkan dalam pembelajaran Akuntansi dapat menggunakan variasi model-model yang lebih bervariasi sehingga menimbulkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar yang tinggi.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran model Learning cycle, Minat, Hasil Belajar, Akuntansi

Abstract

This research found that: (1) description of learning process in SMK Negeri is generally good and using KTSP curriculum. (2) Application of Discipline Learning in Social Study Program in SMK Negeri 3 Marabahan such as discipline in entering the classroom on time after break, neatness of dress discipline, using the completeness or attributes of uniform,  doing homework assignment discipline, discipline of argues, going to school discipline, and so on. application of discipline learning in SMK Negeri 3 is social studies teacher tries to apply implementation of discipline through application of discipline learning with educational sanction such as learning while standing upright in front of the bench for those who does violations such as can not giving opinion, not doing the homework or task, not bringing notebook and LKS book, being late to class, students are not wearing a tie, belt, or other school supplies. Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk has had facilities and infrastructure in ICT-based learning, but in the teaching and learning process of teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk less take advantage of ICT that has been owned. With the lack of ICT-based learning, so less interesting learning and innovative and boring. In this case less increase motivation and learning achievement in SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk. The approach in this research is quantitative approach, because this research is presented with numbers. Determination of samples using probability sampling technique. From the results of research conducted, the differences in learning achievement of powerpoint-based learning with conventional learning. Learning achievement using powerpoint-based learning is higher than that of learning achievement using conventional learning. And the difference of learning achievement from internet-based learning with conventional learning. Learning achievement using internet-based learning is higher than the learning achievement using conventional learning, but the learning achievement using internet-based learning is more significant in improving student's learning achievement. ICT-based learning that can improve learning achievement is evident from the analysis of this study researchers provide advice to teachers in teaching and learning process using ICT-based learning that can improve student achievement.Keywords:Powerpoint, internet, learning achievement SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk telah mempunyai sarana dan prasarana dalam pembelajaran berbasis TIK, tetapi dalam proses belajar mengajar guru di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk kurang memanfaatkan TIK yang telah dimiliki. Dengan kurangnya pembelajaran berbasis TIK, sehingga pembelajaran kurang menarik dan inovatif dan membosankan. Dalam hal ini kurang meningkatkan   motivasi dan prestasi belajar di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, karena penelitian ini disajikan dengan angka-angka. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik probabilitas sampling. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, adanya perbedaan prestasi belajar dari pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Prestasi belajar yang menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan prestasi belajar yang menggunakan pembelajarn konvensional. Dan adanya perbedaan prestasi belajar dari pembelajaran berbasis internet dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Prestasi belajar yang menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis internet lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan prestasi belajar yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, tetapi prestasi belajar yang menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis internet lebih signifikan  dalam peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa.Pembelajaran berbasis TIK yang dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar yang terbukti dari analisa penelitian ini peneliti memberikan saran kepada guru dalam proses belajar mengajar menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis TIK yang dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci:Powerpoint, Internet, Prestasi Belajar

Abstract

Understanding that the history lesson is rote learning resulted in a greater emphasis on verbal. Under these circumstances researchers offered the implementation of cooperative learning model type Time Game Tournament, which is a cooperative learning model in which there are elements of the game academic or weekly tournament to replace the individual test, so students do not feel bored because there is an element of the tournament. This research is a classroom action research conducted with 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings.
