Abstract

The development of the era requires the world of education to continue to innovate, one of which is through curriculum updates that are relevant to the needs of students. The Independent Curriculum is one of the government's initiatives to improve the quality of learning. This study aims to explore the strategy for implementing the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri Pengambangan 6, Banjarmasin City. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that the strategy implemented was in the form of IHT (In House Training) training for teachers as a form of preparation and strengthening understanding of the Independent Curriculum. However, in its implementation, several obstacles were still found, such as teachers' lack of understanding of the curriculum concept, minimal socialization, and the need for a paradigm shift in the learning process. Nevertheless, the school has tried to overcome these challenges through various supporting strategies. This study recommends that other schools that will implement the Independent Curriculum hold intensive training and form a curriculum support team to ensure smooth implementation.

Abstract

This research discusses the creativity skills carried out by researchers because they want to improve and increase learning creativity by using  the Project-Based Learning learning model, for this research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Bangsal. While the type of research conducted by the researcher is a type of collaborative class action research consisting of 2 learning cycles where each cycle is carried out 2 meetings, while for the structure and stages of this research in accordance with PTK in general, the first is planning, the second is the implementation (action), the third is observation), and the last is reflection and (Evaluation). For the subject of this study, all students of class VII/A totaling 31. Meanwhile, the instruments used by the researcher were in the form of learning observation sheets, questionnaires to determine the increase in creativity, as well as the results of learning assessments and documentation. The results and discussion of this research will be emphasized on the analysis of data processing from the results of the questionnaire, product assessment, and the percentage of completeness of the learning material. From this study, the researcher found an increase in creativity from the indicators that have been made and implemented.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the values of local wisdom, especially honesty and respect for customs, in the economic transactions of the Banjar community in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Local wisdom plays an important role in social and economic interactions. Honesty is considered the main value that builds trust in every economic transaction, while respect for custom serves as a social norm that regulates economic behavior and strengthens societal cohesion. With a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, it was found that honesty is very important in maintaining social and economic stability, building networks of trust, and reducing conflict. Economic actors in Banjarmasin uphold honesty as social capital that binds the relationship between traders and consumers. Respect for customs also influences the way the Banjar people conduct transactions, creating harmony within the community. These values are starting to change due to the influence of modernization and globalization, which are more oriented towards short-term profits. This research emphasizes the importance of preserving local wisdom to maintain the sustainability of economic transactions based on honesty and respect for customs in Banjar society.

Abstract

Traditional pottery crafts in Baanyan Village, South Hulu Sungai Regency, face various problems, such as the degradation of the swamp environment as a source of raw materials, weak regeneration of artisans, and marketing limitations that affect the sustainability of community businesses. This condition has implications for the decline in the social and economic carrying capacity of the traditional pottery industry in wetland areas. This study aims to describe the social and economic dynamics of pottery artisans and identify challenges and opportunities for the sustainability of the pottery industry in Baanyan Village. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that pottery production activities are highly dependent on the availability of clay from the swamp lebak ecosystem as the main raw material. The products produced include jars, atangs, and various decorative crafts. In addition to facing environmental challenges and the regeneration of artisans, the pottery industry is also constrained by a conventional marketing system. However, the use of digital technology and online-based marketing media provides new opportunities to expand market reach and improve business sustainability. This study concludes that the sustainability of the traditional pottery industry requires support for swamp environmental management, strengthening the regeneration of artisans, and optimizing digital marketing. The findings of this research are useful as a basis for the development of policies for the preservation of traditional crafts based on wetlands and the sustainable strengthening of the local community's economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan sumber belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SDN Berangas Barat 2, terutama yang berkaitan dengan pokok bahasan warisan budaya dan kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian diskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi langsung. Dari teknik analisis tersebut dapati hasil bahwa aktivitas pembelajaran IPS di sekolah memerlukan sumber belajar berbasis internet, mudah diakses ( kompak ), efektif, efisien, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik yang memiliki karakteristik generasi alpha. Untuk itu, pengembangan sumber belajar berbasis GSites dengan mengintegrasikan konten kearifan lokal Desa Pulau Sewangi menjadi solusi. Sumber belajar yang diusulkan memiliki spesifikasi yang mampu dioperasikan melalui internet di berbagai perangkat bold, serta memuat elemen budaya lokal dengan fitur navigasi meliputi: halaman utama, peta belajar, daftar hadir, profil desa, kampung jukung, pengrajin panganinangan, dan latihan.

Abstract

Handil Bakti, Barito Kuala Regency  represents a critical intersection between vulnerable tidal wetland ecosystems and increasing urbanization pressures. This study analyzes the relationship between conflictive spatial planning policies, especially the control of street vendors (PKL), and ecological threats in the form of garbage accumulation on the Handil canal system. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method through triangulation of data obtained from direct observation and in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that street vendor control is still top-down and has not been accompanied by the provision of economically strategic relocation locations. This condition caused some street vendors to return to selling in prohibited areas, causing repeated social conflicts between the community and the local government. On the other hand, the dumping of plastic and styrofoam waste into the Handil canal by residents and trade activities causes a blockage of  the two-way flow drainage system  that functions to regulate the circulation of tide. The impact of these conditions can be seen in the increase in waterlogging in residential areas and the disruption of the hydrological function of wetlands, especially during the rainy season and during high tides. These findings show that the problem of spatial planning in wetland areas not only has an impact on the socio-economic aspects of informal communities, but also has direct implications for the increased risk of flooding, the decline in the quality of the residential environment, and the weakening of the ecological function of the Handil canal as a vital infrastructure in the swamp area. Therefore, spatial planning policies in wetland areas need to be designed in an integrated, participatory, and ecology-based manner by paying attention to environmental sustainability as well as the economic sustainability of local communities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop digital Social Studies (IPS) learning materials based on the local wisdom of the Dayak Deah community, particularly the Tawas Jaa tradition, and to examine their feasibility and effectiveness in enhancing junior high school students’ environmental awareness. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the ecological values embedded in the Tawas Jaa tradition of the Dayak Deah community into Social Studies learning materials in the form of a digital storybook, which has not previously been developed within local wisdom based Social Studies learning.The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model, which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects included 27 seventh-grade students of SMPN 2 Upau as the experimental group and 25 students as the control group. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and environmental awareness tests, and were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.The results indicate that in the define stage, students’ environmental awareness was still predominantly reflected in the knowledge dimension, while the attitude and behavioral dimensions remained at moderate to low levels. The design stage produced a prototype of a digital storybook that contextually integrates the ecological values of the Tawas Jaa tradition into Social Studies learning. In the develop stage, expert validation showed a very high level of feasibility with an average score of 85%. The limited trial results indicated very positive student responses, with an average score of 84% in terms of usability, attractiveness, and usefulness.The paired sample t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group (p < 0.05), with a greater improvement compared to the control group. The study concludes that the digital Social Studies learning materials based on the Dayak Deah Tawas Jaa tradition meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ environmental awareness. These findings suggest that integrating local wisdom into digital learning media can significantly contribute to strengthening environmental awareness in Social Studies learning.

Abstract

Malaria remains a major vector-borne disease and a persistent public health problem in Papua Province, Indonesia, particularly in Jayapura Regency and Jayapura City. This study applies remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) integrated with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to model malaria vulnerability, while presenting the analysis as a learning case for geospatial-based health studies. Spatial data derived from Landsat 8 OLI, SRTM, CHIRPS, meteorological observations, and official population and malaria records were analyzed using pairwise comparison and weighted overlay techniques. The results indicate that high malaria vulnerability is predominantly associated with lowland and coastal areas characterized by high rainfall, high humidity, and relatively high population density. The resulting vulnerability map shows strong spatial correspondence with reported malaria cases and is easily interpretable. Overall, this study demonstrates that AHP-based remote sensing and GIS analysis not only supports malaria vulnerability assessment but also provides an effective instructional framework for teaching spatial decision-making in environmental and geographic health education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the integrative function of the family, particularly family cohesion and communication patterns, influences the quality of sibling relationships and how individuals construct alternative relationships outside the nuclear family when sibling bonds weaken. In contemporary society, sibling relationships are increasingly perceived as less emotionally significant than peer relationships. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews with two informants who have different family backgrounds, age gaps among siblings, and family dynamics. The findings indicate that low family cohesion, closed communication patterns, unresolved conflicts, and perceived parental favoritism contribute to distant and fragile sibling relationships. Sibling interactions tend to be situational and lack emotional continuity. As a result, individuals seek emotional fulfillment through friendships, which function as alternative sources of support, acceptance, and emotional safety. Friends are perceived as “chosen siblings” who replace the emotional roles traditionally associated with biological siblings. Using Family Systems Theory, this study demonstrates that weakened sibling bonds reflect dysfunction within the broader family system. Disruptions in the integrative function of the family affect the sibling subsystem and encourage emotional cutoff as a coping mechanism. The study highlights that sibling relationship problems should not be understood as individual failures but as outcomes of systemic family dynamics. Strengthening family communication and cohesion is therefore essential to maintaining healthy sibling relationships.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of the use of the Quizizz application on students' learning motivation. Learning motivation is an important factor that affects the success of the learning process. In the digital era, the use of interactive learning technology such as Quizizz is expected to increase students' learning motivation. Quizizz is a quiz-based platform that integrates game elements, thus encouraging students to be more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing various relevant previous research results related to the use of Quizizz in learning. Data were obtained from scientific journals, proceedings, and other academic sources that discuss the relationship between digital media use and student learning motivation. The results of the study show that the use of Quizizz is effective in increasing students' learning motivation through a fun, interactive, and competitive learning experience. In addition, Quizizz is also able to increase student engagement and create a more dynamic learning atmosphere. Thus, the use of Quizizz as a learning medium can be an innovative solution in increasing student learning motivation at various levels of education
