Abstract

Solar energy is a source of livelihood for living things that is available in very large quantities, is not polluting, will not run out but is free. However, it is rarely found that the function and benefits of the sun are massive. One of the uses of solar energy is the use of solar cell panels as a renewable energy generator that can produce DC electricity. This study aims to design a smart DC home using a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). This study also aims to calculate the output power of the DC House. Accordingly, the research was conducted with hardware design and software design. Data collection is done by testing and observation techniques. Researchers based on research and discussion can say that they have succeeded in designing a Smart DC House with a total energy requirement used per day, which is 122.2 watt-hours per day. The output power obtained from the system is around 153 watt-hours per day with the specifications of the solar module used with a capacity of 50 Wp with a minimum battery capacity of 38 Ah. This system is built with a house size of 112 cm x 70 cm x 40 cm which consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, terrace, and kitchen with a microcontroller as a processor, the sensors used are LDR sensors, raindrop sensors, and infrared photodiode sensors. with the advantages of the system, namely the roof that can open and close automatically

Abstract

Changes in frequency and voltage caused by erratic load changes on consumers of Micro Hydro Power Plants (MHP) can damage generators and household appliances consumers. This problem can be addressed by providing a replacement load. However, to optimize the replacement load, it is necessary to design a control system for the replacement load. This research was conducted to control the generator output when an erratic load change occurs. In addition, this study also aims to monitor the generator output remotely using the internet. Accordingly, the research was conducted with hardware design and software design. Data collection is done by testing technique, while data analysis is done by simple regression. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of design tools can control the replacement load and measure voltage, current, and frequency. The use of this tool can also monitor and store data using the GSM internet network so that monitoring can be carried out remotely

Abstract

This study aims to destroy an automatic egg incubator, where the performance parameters to be monitored are the temperature and humidity of the incubator. The monitoring system uses the Internet of Things (IoT) application. The egg incubator utilizes the lamp's heat to maintain the room temperature's stability. Utilizing the DHT11 sensor, the temperature data will be processed on the Wemos d1 microcontroller, which is then sent to the internet wirelessly. The temperature and humidity data results will be read in real-time using IoT with the Blynk platform, which can also be accessed using a smartphone. The results of this study apply IoT technology to the monitoring system for measuring conditions of the incubator temperature and humidity parameter values. All device modules will be packaged into embedded systems integrated with environmentally friendly IoT innovation rules and support the technological era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The results of measurements at the incubator's location and the monitoring using the Blynk application are relatively the same, and the success rate of hatching eggs reaches 74% of the total eggs put into the incubator

Abstract

Scientific publications are a means of delivering research results and innovations of researchers. Recently, researchers' interest in publishing publications is also increasing. This increase occurred in the publication of papers through scientific conferences. This encourages the need for the use of information technology to facilitate conference management. However, the application of the conference management system is still minimal. Based on these problems, this study proposes a web-based conference management method. The system is built using a MySQL database and Model-View-Controller (MVC) code architecture in PHP. Therefore, every conference process can be included in the system. the system is designed with three main modules, namely the participant/presenter module, reviewer module, and committee/admin module, which covers the entire conference process starting from registration, paper submission, review, payment and distribution of presentation rooms. Trials and evaluations are carried out using the Black Box Testing method to ensure the system can work well. The results of the tests and evaluations that have been carried out show that the proposed system is proven to have good performance with a score of 100% or successfully fulfills all existing test scenarios

Abstract

The Minasa Upa Village Office is a community service facility fulfilling population administration and licensing. Currently, the service applied is still carried out in a conventional way, which requires residents to come and queue at the village office to receive services. It is necessary to come to the village office to obtain information on the requirements for making a letter, to find out whether the submitted letter has been completed. Based on these problems, a system is needed to help services at the Minasa Upa Village Office be more practical and efficient. This study implemented an E-Government system that utilizes information technology in service. The e-Government implemented is in the form of an Android-based application designed using the Java programming language and firebase as a database service. The application design method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a waterfall approach. The system testing technique used is black box testing which consists of two stages, namely alpha and beta testing. The results indicate that the application is built according to the expected needs. This is proven through the tests that have been carried out. In addition, based on the questionnaire results, users stated that the interface of the application was easy to understand, with an average score of 86%.

Abstract

The protection system is essential in the 20 kV distribution network system. The 20 kV equipment control system is supplied from 2 sources: PT (Potential Transformer) and DC voltage supply (Battery). If the protection relay and mechanics do not get a DC voltage supply, it will have an impact on the equipment not being able to trip when there is a disturbance in the network. There is no DC voltage supply due to battery failure or damage. For this reason, it is necessary to operate the tool manually, which results in the normalization process taking longer because it takes time and long distances, so the duration of outages is even greater. In this study, a monitoring system for the battery of the equipment will be made where previously observations were made about the need for this tool. The method used by the tool uses the blynk application as a receiver of direct voltage and temperature measurement reports that are connected to the gsm module. As a microcontroller processes, Arduino Nano commands from intelligent phones, generating a measurement report from the battery. GSM SIM 900 module as a data receiver and sender in the system. This tool is easy to apply to the system because it does not require a sufficient additional voltage source from the battery. The results of this study become a solution for companies to improve their 20 kV. distribution network system.

Abstract

The Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic (PNUP) manages several departments, consisting of the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Machinery, the Department of Civil, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Accounting, and the Department of Commerce Administration. In managing how many significant programs, PNUP requires a quality information system to support academic activities by evaluating the system's quality that has been implemented. The PNUP Information System with the URL address https://.www.poliupg.ac.id/ has never been evaluated, where there are several complaints from students and admins regarding obstacles to using the information system. Complaints about the information system's use prompted researchers to research the quality of the PNUP information system. Therefore, the User Experience was analysed from the usability aspect, which was tested with several tools, namely Woorank, SEOquake, PageSpeed and using the SUS method. Testing with the usability aspect approach was carried out on the information system at PNUP. The test results using several tools, namely Woorank, got a score of 78. It was considered suitable for facilitating searches on search engines. Page Speed scored 67 for desktop use and 28 for mobile use. It was considered very bad in loading website pages which were considered to disturb user satisfaction and using the SUS method, with 180 respondents getting a score of 58.65, which is considered usable and has the potential to reduce visitors to the PNUP information system. It can be judged that the PNUP information system has not met the usability aspect.

Abstract

In the era of advanced technology, technology helps various fields of industrial work, agriculture, education, and other fields. Work such as supervising the queue of visitors or counters by utilizing technology can minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Robot Line Follower technology monitors the distance of the visitor queue or counter can minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and its minimalist form is easy for use and storage. Sadistic Robot (Smart Detection Distance for Queue) uses Line Follower technology plus the use Internet and smartphones that can be used by anyone and anywhere, thus monitoring or supervising the queue to maintain a safe distance so as not to be infected with the Covid-19 virus. This research is to create a control and monitoring system to monitor the distance of the queue of visitors or counters using the Internet of Things system or wifi internet network. Utilization in this study using a blynk application found on smartphones. Based on the test results, NodeMCU can connect to the Internet within 10 meters of the internet source. Then, the control system can receive commands from applications with a delay of less than 1 second, and the Blynk application monitoring system can receive sensor data in real-time in conditions of 10 meters.

Abstract

All radios, both transmitting and receiving signals, need an antenna. So the role of the antenna is very important because the antenna can work as a transmitter or receiver, depending on the application of the antenna itself. For the transmitting antenna, it is hoped that it can cover a wide area, so that the receiver can access information in a wide area as well. With the addition of elements with antenna modifications, it will affect the radiance. In this study, the vertical 2 meter band 2 x 5/8 antenna using this phase system has many advantages such as a strong beam pattern in all directions, wide bandwidth and has a large gain and wider coverage area. Then the measurements and calculations of the antenna parameters that have been determined are carried out. From the data obtained at the time of measurement, it was found that the working frequency of the designed antenna was 145.9 MHz. it can be seen that the large amplification of the 2 meter band 2 x 5/8 vertical antenna against the standard 5/8 vertical antenna is 1 dB. The vertical 2 meter band 2 x 5/8 antenna has a bandwidth of 1.4 MHz and an omnidirectional radiation pattern, with a wider coverage area.

Abstract

Interbus transformer (IBT) is transformer that transfer power in different voltage level. Tello Substation has two IBT that change voltage level from 150 kV to 66 kV.  In order to maintain the reliability operation of Tello substation, both IBT must be not allowed to overload. Overload condition could occur if one of the transformers is fault, the normal transformer will be overload.  If an overload condition occurs, the two IBTs may not operate simultaneously. Due to this condition, it is necessary to prevent the occurrence of overload condition by applying overload shedding (OLS). This OLS application can prevent overload on the transformer if one of the transformers out of service due to fault condition. The OLS relay will work when the load on the IBT has reached its setting, by releasing the load on the 66 kV system line according to the OLS scheme as a precautionary step before all transformers trip. This research uses a case study on the Makassar Subsystem, which is one of the Sulbagsel System's electrical systems. The results showed that the amount of load that needed to be removed when implementing the OLS scheme at IBT #3 and IBT #5 31.5 MVA GI Tello was 16.86 MW. The OLS and OCR schemes are coordinated with the OLS setting current at each IBT GI Tello is 302.5 A, while the setting current for OCR at each IBT GI Tello is 330 and  time multiple setting ( tms) is 1.96
