Abstract

The author's Information Literacy Analysis in creating his study work is still small in various communities. This qualitative study aims to obtain the author's information literacy ability in creating works in the Toba Circle Pen community or abbreviated as PELITO. This study involved 6 authors who were positioned as research subjects. Data on the author's information literacy ability are collectedusing a recording device, which is then recorded in word. The collected data is analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study inform that the information literacy ability of each writer in making a work in the category is quite good. Furthermore, the author's way of searching for more detailed information will easily create a work, rather than one that only relies on imagination and reads less. Following up on these findings, literation skills in various communities must be optimized through reading a lot, increasing learning resources, and learning to browse information through the internetor observation.

Abstract

The use of digital library applications is an easy way for users to get information. This study aims to-provide an overview of the user's perspective on the Candil application as a support for Dipusipda library services. In addition, this study aims to determine the accessibility and usability of the Candil application from the perspective and experience of users when using the Candil application. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Observation, interviews, and literature studies carried out data collection techniques. Observations are made by conducting research on Candil application features. Then there were ten informants who were interviewed who were active users of the Candil application through accidental sampling. This research results that the accessibility aspect of the Candil application fulfills information accessibility so that users can find information on the Candil application through the availability of easy and fast collections. Then the Candil application also fulfills the five existing usability aspects: Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Error, and Satisfaction.

Abstract

Excellent service through information service sources in the library is the main focus of activities in the library. Activities in the library are a benchmark for the success or decline of excellent service in the library. Library policy in developing services is one of the library's efforts to bring information sources closer to users. This study used a qualitative research method, namely field research. With the development of a library that has an information technology base, both from a library management information system and a digital library, it will provide convenience to users and convenience for librarians. Technology is able to solve the problems librarians face in their daily work. New ideas that librarians have to improve excellent service at the Potensi Utama University Library must continue to be developed. This study concludes that excellent service at the Potensi Utama University Library Medan is able to bring users closer to librarians in finding sources of information.
