Jurnal Panangkaran merupakan jurnal Assosiasi Peneliti Agama-agama yang bekerjasama dengan Pusat Penelitian dan Penerbitan LP2M UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta sebagai media komunikasi hasil penelitian para peneliti, ilmuwan dan cendekiawan. Tujuannya adalah untuk mewadahi, menyebarluaskan dan mendialogkan wacana ilmiah di bidang penelitian sosial keagamaan. Naskah yang dimuat dalam jurnal berasal dari hasil-hasil penelitian maupun kajian-kajian kritis para peneliti agama atau akademisi yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan kehidupan sosial keagamaan, kelekturan, pendidikan dan keagamaan, agama dan sains. Abstract

The term readability index is essentially related to understandability in reading and its core is in the quality of the reader’s reading capacity, not the quality of the text. In this research index is connected to the term text readability, which is readability that is linked to text only i.e. a book and then linked to index. This research aims to describe the index of book readability, that is the level of cohesiveness between the core material and the entire book on Faith-Virtue of Grade XI Islamic Senior High School (MA) of the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes which were organized by sub-chapters. The main point of this research is answering the question: what is the readability index/level of the book being analyzed, that is the level of appropriateness or cohesiveness of the core material with the entire content of the text book on Faith-Virtue for Grade XI MA from the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes as organized by sub-chapters? And what are the response of the teachers regarding the substantive content of the book?Research results show that, firstly, the readability index of the Faith-Virtue Lesson is at 25%. The readability level of the analyzed book shows a level of appropriateness or cohesiveness between the core material with the entire content of the textbook on Faith-Virtue for Grade XI MA from the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes. The value of readability index had a percentage of 82.3 (very high), with an average index acquired at 81.36, which shows that the readability index according to the readers at the Islamic Senior High School was very high. Secondly, regarding the quality of response according to the teachers, when comparing the K-13 (2013 curriculum) with the KTSP (Education Unit Level Curriculum), they thought that it was better when they were using the KTSP. The reason being the K-13 textbook seemed to be lacking in substantive depth. Hence an assembly for teachers of similar subject matter (MGMP) was held to compose a student work sheet (LKS) for this subject with the strongest reason, according to the teachers, being it is more practical and in-depth. Thirdly, there are discrepancies between the standard competence (KD) and the core material, there are inconsistencies of chapters – subchapters wherein the table of contents, technique in scientific writing, and book composition were not undertaken thoroughly and carefully. There were many notes acquired from the teachers’ reading results regarding corrections to complete the book.

Abstract

There is a great deal of Islamic literature on the market. This situation provides space to slip in “hidden messages”. Some people turn into figures that have changed 180 degrees after reading a book. The National Standardization Agency (BSN) only controls formal Islamic literature. On the other hand, non-formal literature circulates more widely in society. This article will explain the development of Islamic literature in Indonesia including: distribution, consumers, branding, ideas, and writing techniques. This study highlights Islamic literature when discussing interfaith relations in content and storyline. Each selected representation of Islamic literature has characteristics based on the trendsof each period influenced by socio-political and economic-market factors. Values of diversity are ideally offered in every sample of Islamic literature in accordance with the reality of diversity in Indonesia. There is a big loss if “new piety” is not accompanied by a foundation of tolerant contextualization; such an impact would promote a kind of exclusivity that is the antithesis of what is being lived and instills pride in Islamic literature.[Jumlah literatur keislaman sangat melimpah di pasaran. Situasi ini memberikan ruang untuk menyelipkan “pesan-pesan terselubung” di dalamnya. Beberapa orang berubah menjadi sosok yang berubah 180 derajat setelah membaca sebuah buku. Badan Standarisasi Nasional (BSN) hanya mengkontrol literatur keislaman formal. Pada sisi lain, Literatur non-formal beredar lebih luas dalam masyarakat. Artikel ini akan menjelaskan perkembangan literatur keislaman di Indonesia, meliputi: sebaran, konsumen, branding, gagasan-ide, dan teknik penulisan. Penelitian ini menyoroti literatur keislaman ketika membahas relasi antar iman dalam isi (content) dan alur cerita. Setiap literatur keislaman memiliki karakteristik berdasarkan trend masing-masing periode dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial-politik dan ekonomi-pasar. Nilai-nilai keragaman idealnya ditawarkan dalam setiap literatur keislaman, sesuai dengan realitas keragaman di Indonesia. Kerugian besar jika “keshalehan baru” tidak disertai dengan landasan kontektualisasi toleransi yang membumbung tinggi. Hal ini berdampak pada eksklusifisme yang kian dihidupi dan dibanggakan dalam literatur keislaman dari masa ke masa.]

Abstract

Empowering street children is a form of care and attention toward their lives as they are also children of the nation who have the rights to live a decent life. The empowerment of street children attempts to get them off the streets and turn them into becoming more independent with pride and dignity as human being. Street children are a part of the marginalized community requiring supervision, which is not easy to do as there are negative stigmas or impressions in the community regarding their presence, and unsupportive family environment. These two stigmas will be incessant unless individual street children changes themselves to escape from the community of street children. The target of this activity is to change the mindset of street children. From a negative way of thinking to a positive one, from bad to good. Some of the efforts undertaken in accomplishing that, among others, are by holding activities of religious discussions, group prayers, and getting in the habit of gathering in prayer rooms (musala). These three activities have been carried out maximally. The second target of this activity is enhancing the children’s skills. The efforts carried out were activities for developing electrical skills, culinary skills, calligraphy, and alternative medicine of wet cupping. The entire process of these activities ran well and properly within a period of 2 months by providing close assistance and supervision. The third target aims at developing an entrepreneurial spirit and a spirit of self-appreciation throughout all aspects of life. In this case, the achievement expected of the street children is for them to develop awareness and desire to establish business endeavors that will be beneficial to themselves.[Pemberdayaan anak jalanan sebagai wujud kepedulian terhadap nasib anak jalanan, juga merupakan anak bangsa yang berhak memperoleh kehidupan yang layak. Pemberdayaan anak jalanan berupaya pengentasan anak jalanan dari jalanan dan menjadikan mereka mandiri serta mempunyai harkat dan martabat sebagai manusia. Anak jalanan bagian dari komunitas marjinal yang memperlukan pembinaan, tidak mudah untuk melakukannya karena stigma atau kesan negative dari masyarakat tentang keberadaan mereka, dan lingkungan keluarga yang kurang mendukung. Dua stigma itu tidak dapat dihilangkan terkecuali individu anak jalanan merubah dirinya untuk keluar dari komunitas anak jalan.Target kegiatan ini merubah mindset anak jalanan. Cara berfikir yang negative menjadi positif, buruk menjadi baik. Beberapa upaya yang dilakukan dalam merubah itu di antaranya kegiatan diskusi keagamaan, salat berjamaah, dan membiasakan diri untuk kumpul di musala. Tiga kegiatan ini sudah dijalankan secara maksimal.Target yang kedua dalam kegiatan ini mengembangkan keterampilan anak. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah keterampilan elektro, keterampilan boga, kaligarfi dan pengobatan alternatif bekam. Secara keseluruhan proses kegiatan ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan baik dalam jangka waktu 2 bulan pendampinganTarget ke tiga, menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan. Semangat untuk mengapresasikan diri dalam segala sisi kehidupan. Dalam hal ini, pencapaian yang diharapkan tumbuh kesadaran bagi peserta dampingan keinginn untuk mengembangkan usaha yang dapat bermanfaat bagi dirinya.]

Abstract

This study analyzes the roots of the fundamentalist Islam political movement in the modern era by specifically tracing the logic in Islamic theology specific to Islamic fundamentalism. On this basis, this study uses a descriptive interpretative approach through which researchers try to critically dissect how Armstrong views the political ideology of Islamic fundamentalism. The Islamic fundamentalism movement, in particular, must be understood as a political movement. With this assumption, the position of the fundamentalists and their how they fight from an ideological basiscan be clearly seen. Based on the theme above, this research concludes two important findings: First, many forms of what is called “fundamentalism” must be essentially seen as discourses on political theology, namely forms of nationalism or ethnicity,that are religiously articulated. Thus, fundamentalism can be understood as a political movement that has the ideology of Islam. Secondly, psychologically, it needs to be realized that both the theology and ideology of fundamentalists are rooted in fear; this begins with their insecurity that secularists will eliminate them. It is also necessary to realize that fundamentalist movements are not ancient or from the past, but they are basically modern and very innovative.[Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang bagaimana akar gerakan politik fundamentalisme Islam di era modern, dengan secara khusus menelusuri nalar teologi politik fundamentalisme Islam.Atas dasar tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-interpretatif, peneliti mencoba membedah secara kritis bagaimana pandangan Armstrong tentang ideologi politik fundamentalisme Islam.Karena, gerakan fundamentalisme Islam ini secara khusus harus dipahami sebagai gerakan politik, dengan asumsi ini maka, dapat secara jelas melihat bagaimana posisi kaum fundamentalis beserta basis ideologi yang diperjuangkannya.Dengan berpijak pada tema penelitian di atas, penelitian ini menyimpulkan dua hal penting sebagai berikut.Pertama, banyak bentuk dari apa yang disebut “fundamentalisme” harus dilihat secara esensial sebagai wacana teologi politik, yakni bentuk nasionalisme atau etnisitas yang diartikulasikan secara religius. Dengan demikian, fundamentalisme dapat dipahami sebagai gerakan politik yang berideologikan Islam.Kedua, secara psikologis, perlu disadari bahwa teologi dan ideologi kaum fundamentalis berakar dalam ketakutan, hal ini berawal dari pehamanan mereka bahwa kaum sekuler akan melenyapkan mereka. Perlu disadari juga bahwa gerakan fundamentalis bukanlah hal kuno dari masa lampau, mereka pada dasarnya modern serta sangat inovatif.]

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of income, religiosity, distance between site, education and access information to effect interest  society in paying money cash wakf in Badan Wakaf Uang/Tunai MUI DIY. The population in this study were all society Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The sample in this study were taken from most society with convinience sampling method. Determination of the number of samples using the formula slovin. There are 120 questionnaires that can be treated in this study. Primary data collection method used was survey method using a questionnaire media. In addition to the questionnaire, this research is also supported with the literature study and interview methods. Analysis of the data in this study using multiple probit regression analysis using EVIEWS shoftware 07.00 to test the research data.Regression analysis showed that of the four variables of income, religiosity, distance between site, education and access information of test results obtained simultan probability level of significance of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. It can be concluded that the regression model can be used and jointly affect the interest society in paying money cash wakf. To test z can be concluded that religiosity significant positive effect on society interest in paying money cash wakf. While the income, distance between site, education and access information does not affect the interest society in paying money cash wakf.Based on test results obtained McFadden determination coefficient R2 of 0.824. It can be concluded that society interest in paying money cash wakf in Badan Wakaf Uang/Tunai MUI DIY able to be explained by the independent variables which include income, religiosity, distance between site, education and access information that is equal to 82.4% and the rest is explained by other variables outside the research model that is equal to 0.176 (17.6%).

Abstract

This article presents the results of an explorative research that examined the concept of agrarian ecotheology. This issue was raised with the assumption that Islamic teachings can be a part in the restrengthening of agrarian culture i.e. to take part in enhancing food sovereignty and security in Indonesia. This study is established on the perspective of anthropological ecology. The data source for this article is results of research that has been conducted at the Srimartani Village, Piyungan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. Data collection was conducted by using various techniques such as participant observation, focused group discussion (FGD) and interviews through questionnaires. The data collected from the field research was then analyzed using a descriptive-interpretative method.The study results show that Islamic teachings could be employed in restrengthening the agrarian culture, that is as a means to enhance food sovereignty and security. This study also provides critical contribution to the perspective of contemporary Islamic ecotheology so that it does not tend to be anthropocentric, thus becoming exploitative in nature. A new construction of Islamic ecotheology, which accommodates the view that humans, as farmers as well, have a proportional position within their environment, needs to be developed.

Abstract

This paper relooks at how most people are vulnerable in facing plural society. Within multi-culture community project in which all religions have equal right and the raising of religious exclusivism, this paper attempts to show how religious plurality maintained in the plural community. One of prominent issue in this context of plural communit is blasphemy. Beside in order to maintain religious harmony in plurality, the law of blasphemy was also purposed to protect any religious issues that despised another religion. Here, blasphemy occurs for some reasons, first is massive understanding about religion is still monolitic and much affected from religious exclusivism, secondly the law about blasphemy is still unfamiliar among plural community. In order to overcome this issue, this paper will unpack the blasphemy law and how it is affected among plural community. Through the paradigm about Maqashid Syari’ah, this paper will argue that the law about blasphemy should be introduced toward communityintensively and massively. Beside it is emphasizing religious plurality; it could be also as medium for communicating the issues of religious blasphemy.[Paper ini melihat kembali bagaimana kebanyakan orang rentan dalam menghadapi masyarakat majemuk. Dalam masyarakat multi-kultur, di mana seluruh agama memiliki kebenaran yang sama dan meningkatnya eksklusifitas agama, paper ini mencoba memperlihatkan bagaimana kemajemukan agama dijaga dalam masyarakat yang plural. Salah satu isu yang menonjol dalam  konteks masyarakat majemukadalah penistaan. Selain untuk menjaga keharmonisan agama dalam kemajemukan, hukum penistaanjuga dituju untuk menjaga berbagai masalah agama yang memandang rendah agama lain. Di sini terjadinya penistaan agama terjadi karena beberpa alasan.pertama, adalah pemahaman yang masif mengenai agama masih monolitis dan banyak terpengaruh dari eksklusifitas agama.kedua, hukum terhadap penistaan masih kurang familiar di antara masyarakat majemuk. Untuk mengatasi isu ini, paper ini akan membongkar hukum penistaan dan bagaimana itu mempengaruhi di antara masyarakat majemuk. Melalui paradigma Maqasid Syariah, paper ini akan membahas bahwa hukum tentang penistaan harus diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat secara intensif dan masif. Di samping itu, paper ini menekankan kemajemukan agama; itu juga bisa menjadi medium untuk mengkomunikasikan isu-isu penistaan agama.]

Abstract

This article attempts to present the various forms of living Islam (al-Qur’an and Hadith) found in the television program Para Pencari Tuhan (Those Who Seek God), particularly in season 3 episode 19. This study began with the assumption that every behavior is initiated based on an understanding (both textual and contextual) of religious texts, namely al-Qur’an and Hadith, including the various scenes presented in this television program. Subsequently, this article will discuss, as a focused study, matters of romance leading to marriage as experienced by Azam and Aya, Chelsea and Marni, Barong and Dara, and scenes of others who tried to involve themselves in the matter. Ultimately, this article presents various ways of living Islam found in the television program Para Pencari Tuhan; among them are the Hadith on fasting for the sake of Allah, Hadith on Khadijah’s special status, Hadith on the criteria of partners one should choose, Hadith on the prohibition of approaching a woman who is being proposed to, Hadith on the command for capable youth to get married, verses on polygamy, verses on the importance of atabayyun attitude, verses on helping each other, and verses on the benefits of marriage. The various Hadith and verses recorded in the scenes of the television program indicate that this program continues to hold a significant role in spreading Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The local traditional ritual of 1st of Syura in Loka Muksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo Menang Pagu Kediri in East Java, is a tradition that is held in honor of their ancestors, which is inseparable from the figure of Sri Aji Joyoboyo. This tradition remains as proand contrain the community.Data from this research shows that the implementation of the 1st of Syuraritual in LokaMuksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo with a complete procession of offerings, ritual behavior, and certain preconditions, negative reactions from a number of people who cannot accept the syura local traditions. They are originally from the modern NU group, the Muhammadiyah elite, and the Salafi congregation. They are concurrently establishing legitimate truth to their people, hen the activities concerning the 1st of Syura in Loka Muksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo have the potential to become an open conflict, if they were not managed properly.
