Abstract

A university is an educational institution which also funciions as work organlzation,and contains a number or workers as its human resources. Therefore, are a university mustimplement work divisions, by building several work units. The division is implemented byclassifyng the same tipe of work in a work unit, and thereby creating several work units. Everywork units has their own tipe of work, which differs from one another, according to ihe workloadand responsibility. This classification of work will create an organizational structure containingwork units with different strata (vertical), due to their different responsibilities and workload. Itwill aLso contain several work units at the same level, because they hava same workload andresponsibility but different kind of work.All the work units must cooperate in doing their job as part of the organizational work,and in creating effective and eflicient effort in attaining their goal. The cooperation can takeplace vertically between units in different level or horizontally between unit in the same level.Universities have two main work units in its organization structure, the Academic Sectionand the Administrative Section. The academic section in responsible in conduciing teaching-learning process that is done by several lecturers, also known as academic workers. Theadministrative section is manned by several employees whose job is to support the academicsection so their work will be done in effective and efficient manner. The principal administrativesection works are mainly finance, administration, investory, and students, service. Both sectionsare important for the univesity as work and educational institution, therefore they must cooperatewith each other.The two sections are essentially different either from the type of work or from theresponsibilities they carry. They are also different in many other aspecs such as the educationalbackground requirements for the employees, the working hours, the salary and allowance,promotion requirements, and career development. As we can see that the adminisirative staff'swork are mostly routine activities which will cause boredom, doesn't need creativity and initiative,is not challenging etc. Therefore to do such, work the staff must have high motivation so theycan do their job as effective and as efficient as possible.Evidence from prior studies suggests that measures used by superiors to evaluate theirsubordinates' performance can affect the subordinates attitudes and behavior such as workmotivation (Outley, et al, 2000)However as farback as the 1970s, there is evidence to suggests the effect of performanceevaluation on subordinates' behavior may be indirect through some intervening variables. BothHopwood (1972) and Otley (2000) suggested and found that evaluative style and the type ofperformance evaluations used can affect the subordinates'perception of interpersonal trustand justness in evaluation process. Procedural fairness is important because of its likely effectson the organizational members behavior (Milani, 1975 ; Kenis, 1979; Linquist. 1995 ; Libby,1999 and Law, 2002). Inierpersonal trust is also important because successful performance evaluation is likely io occur onlg in an environment where trust among organizational memberscan develop (Hopwood, 1992). Trust is an important feature of the performance evaluationprocess because increased interpersonal trust between the subordinates and their superiors islikely to lead to improved communication (Merlinger, 1956 and Rend, 1962). In a trustingenvironment, people feel free to relate to one another and this can lead to openness amongorganization members (Reina and Reina, 1999). Trust is ihe glue of effective, humane, andefficient orqanization.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio(CAR), Quality of ProductiveAssets (KAP), Operating Expenses to Operating Profit (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Quick Ratio (QR),Credit toward Profitability (ROA).The population are banking companies which registered in Indonesian Stock Exchange among the period of 2005until 2009, which there are 30 banks. The research sample are 15 banks, it was done by using purposivesampling method with criteria as banking who presenting and submitted annual report and banking whoproduce positive profit. Data analysis with multi linear regression of ordinary least square and hy potheses testused t-statistic and F-statistic at level of significance 5%, a classic assumption examination which consist of datanormality test, multicolinierity test, heteroskedasticity test and autocorrelation test is also being done to test thehypotheses.During research period show as variable and data research was normal distributed. Based on multicollinieritytest, heteroskedasticity test and autocorrelation test classic assumption deviation has not founded, this indicatethat the avaible data has fulfill the condition to use multi linear regression model. The result of this researchshowed that F-statistic, independent variable CAR, KAP, BOPO, LDR, QR, and credit have significant influence onReturn on Asset (ROA) of banking companies at level of significant less than 5% (0,0000), than the result of thisresearch showed that t-statistic, independent variable CAR, KAP, LDR, QR, and credit have significant influenceon ROA at level of significant less than 5% (0,0000; 0,0013 ; 0,0123; 0,0002; 0,0000), but BOPO have nosignificant influence on ROA at level of significant more than 5% (0,3091). Prediction capability from these sixvariable toward ROA is 58,93% where the balance (41,07%) is affected to other factor which was not to beentered to research model.Keywords : ROA, CAR, KAP, BOPO, LDR, QR, and Credit

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect interest in entrepreneurship among the youth in the district on Wangon and to know the different types of business activities conducted by the public at large. Interest in entrepreneurship need to be cultivated and improved particularly among the youth as the future generation as an attempt to fill the independence activities. Based on the results of the discussion of multiple regression analysis that has been done in this study can be concluded that: It turns out the variables that affect entrepreneurship interest on the youth in the District Wangon is an environment variable because of the environment around the dwelling and social  environment significantly affect interest in entrepreneurship. Then variable also affects the business opportunities in the entrepreneurship interest among the youth in the district Wangon, where the odds is an opportunity that should be utilized to try to do your own business with entrepreneurship by creating your own opportunities. And Variable confident, uplifting and educational level did not affectthe interest in entrepreneurship among the youth in the district Wangon, where people Wangon has included urban areas with already high levels of community education. It is expected to furtherresearch needs to consider other variables such as responsibility, gender or any other variable that does not exist in this study.Keywords: self-employment, interest, youth, environment, business opportunities

Abstract

The increasing of housing needs in Indonesia result in the increasing of housing demand. However, bothgoverment and private sectors still can not provide affordable house. One of goverment policy toincerease the purchasing power of housing is by generates subsidizies fund for housing loan called“Fasilitas Likuiditas Pembiayaan Perumahan”. This fund aims to create affordable housing loan.Furthermore, banking sector which has important role in distribution of housing fund faces someproblems to raise the housing loan distribution. This condition caused by some macroecomonic factorssuch as the rate of inflation and fluctuation of Indonesia exchange rate called “rupiah”. Moreover,interest rates as one of government financial policies also influence the level of housing loan. Therefore,this research purposes to analyze both macroeconomics and financial policy factors that affect the levelof housing loan distribution. Besides, this research also uses multiple regressions and multiplecorrelations to analysis the influence of macroeconomics and financial policy factors. The multipleregressions and multiple correlations show that interest rate, inflation rate, and fluctuation of exchangerate have influence to the housing loan level of distribution. The interest rate has significant influenceand correlation to the housing loan level distribution. Nevertheless, the fluctuation of Indonesiaexchange rate has low correlation and influence to the housing loan level of distribution.  Keywords : kredit perumahan, tingkat penyaluran kredit

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences of the factors that can influence the Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) between those applied to conventional companies and those applied to public service organizations. The object of research under study is PT. Pismatex Pekalongan and regional public hospital Bendan Pekalongan City,where the unit of analysis is employers. The sample consisted of employees in both objects, amounting to 94 and 64 people. Processing data by descriptive method. The results indicate that the influence’s factor in OCB are applied in conventional companies is significant different in public service organizations. In more detail the results of hypothesis testing known that in conventional companies, the variables of job satisfaction, gender, and age of employees dominate the effect is OCB more than other variables. Whereas in public service organizations, the more dominant variables affecting OCB is organizational climate. Keywords: Organization Citizenship Behavior

Abstract

This study aims to examine the empirical facts of the two theories that are used side by side, namely agency theory and positive accounting theory within the scope of the problem that is based on the influence of audit quality on disclosure of fraudulent investor financial and perspective reports. This study uses secondary data sources originating from IDX and literature. The analysis tool used to test the relationship between variables is multiple regression where the results of this study show two proofs that audit quality has a positive effect on the level of investor perceptions as measured by the cost of equity capital but conversely audit quality does not significantly influence earnings management. this can be interpreted that high audit quality can increase investor confidence so that it has an impact on the high cost of equity capital but high audit quality does not have a significant impact on earnings management practices.Keywords: AuditQuality, audit tenure, the cost of equity capital and earnings management

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik tujuan anggaran terhadap kinerjaaparat Pemerintah Daerah Banjarnegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan populasiaparat SKPD Banjarnegara pejabat eselon tiga dan empat dan sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 113responden. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa partisipasi anggaran dan kejelasan tujuan anggaran yang berpengaruh terhadapkinerja aparat pemda Banjarnegara. Evaluasi anggaran, umpan balik anggaran dan kesulitan tujuananggaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja aparat pemda Banjarnegara.Kata kunci: partisipasi anggaran, kejelasan sasaran anggaran, umpan balik anggaran, evaluasianggaran, kesulitan tujuan anggaran, kinerja

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences between the Grover, Altman, Springate, Zmijewski, and Ohlson models to predict financial distress. And to find out which financial distress prediction models are best applied to mining companies in Indonesia. Comparison of the five models is done by analyzing the accuracy of each model, using the real conditions of the company. The population in this study amounted to 39 mining companies listed on the Stock Exchange, the sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. From the results of the sample calculation, it is known that companies that meet the requirements to be used as samples of the company are 13 companies. The analytical tool used in this study is Two Way ANOVA. Based on data analysis it is known that there are differences between the five bankruptcy analysis models used in this study except the Altman and Ohlson models in the test results are not significant, which is equal to 0.105. And the accuracy of the Grover model is 64.10%, the Altman model is 66.67%, Springate is 48.72%, Zmijewski is 61.54%, and Ohlson is 25.64%. Among the five bankruptcy analysis models that have the highest level of accuracy are the Altman model. Keywords: Financial Distress and Bankruptcy Prediction Method.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the impact of Syawalan Tradition in Krapyak Pekalongan City to its native Krapyak society. Syawalan is one of the oldest tradition in Pekalongan City. It was interesting did this reserach because nowdays the society more aware to culture. The data were collected using interview and questionnaire. There were 100 respondents tho are lived in Krapyak. The difficulties of this research was to intervier with eldest. The data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis. The result of this research showed that Syawalan gave more economics impact than social impact to its native Krapyak Society. Keywords: Tradition, Culture, Social life, Economic Life, Local culture.

Abstract

Financial performance in this study was measured and analyzed with the ratio of liquidity, solvency, and profitability. The analysis showed that the performance of KUD “x” showed unhealthy performance. By conducting as a SWOT analysis, the sustainability strategy that can be carried out by the KUD is revitalizing cooperative membership, cooperative asset inventory, rationalizing and evaluating employee needs.
