Abstract

The low numeracy literacy skills of students are due to the fact that the mathematics learning process has not yet produced the habit in students of reading with reflection and applying thinking and skills in understanding important information in solving problems. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in students' numeracy literacy skills through the application of problem based learning (PBL). This research is classroom action research that describes students' numeracy literacy abilities. The subjects of this research were class VIII students at SMP 1 Mamasa with a total of 15 students. The research results showed that the average numeracy literacy score in cycle I was 64.13 or in the medium category with 20% completeness. The average value of numeracy literacy in cycle II increased to 100 or was in the high category with 100% completeness. The increase in students' numeracy literacy skills was 35.87, which means that the problem based learning (PBL) learning model can improve the numeracy literacy skills of junior high school students

Abstract

Pegadaian Syariah, sebagai lembaga keuangan yang berbasis syariah, menawarkan berbagai produk dan layanan, sehingga strategi pemasaran menjadi elemen krusial dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan daya saingnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh strategi pemasaran terhadap minat nasabah pada Pegadaian Syariah Cabang Ujung Bulu. Populasi yang dimaksud pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh nasabah Pegadaian Syariah Cabang Ujung Bulu yang berjumlah 142 orang, dengan mengacu pada persamaan slovin dengan perkiraan tingkat kesalahan 5% maka data sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 105 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang berisi pernyataan mengenai strategi pemasaran dan minat nasabah yang diukur dengan skala likert, selanjutnya dilakukan uji intrumen penelitian kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konstanta regresi bernilai 18,646 artinya jika strategi pemasaran marketing mix bernilai 0 maka minat nasabah terhadap produk gadai bernilai 18,646, adapun koefisien regresi bernilai 0,468 artinya setiap marketing mix mengalami kenaikan satu satuan maka minat nasabah terhadap produk gadai akan meningkat sebesar 0,468. Koefisien determinasi bernilai 0,404 yang berarti bahwa persentase pengaruh marketing mix terhadap minat nasabah adalah 40,4%. Berdasarkan hasil Uji t diperoleh bahwa marketing mix berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat nasabah, dibuktikan dengan nilai t hitung yaitu 8,354 lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 1,1659.

Abstract

The country of Indonesia is rich in culture where there are elements of mathematics in it. One of these cultures is Ulos cloth with various motifs. The results of this study of mathematics in culture can then be implemented in contextual mathematics learning by paying attention to cultural background, which is expected to facilitate and motivate students. The purpose of this research is to explain and expose the existence of ethnomathematics-based learning methods that associate elements of a culture with mathematical learning. With the existence of a culture, every person or individual can know everything that is contained in that culture. By choosing a topic about the cultural diversity of communities in the region of North Sumatra about the customary clothing of Ulos Batak, which in this study explains the existence of ethnomatematics contained in the motifs of the fabric of the Ulos of the Tribe of Batak Toba used in the wedding ceremony. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research also reveals how mathematical concepts are reflected in the fabric motifs of the outline, such as transformation, symmetry, and balance. This research uses data analysis techniques i.e. reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The data collection technique is carried out with the method of literature study where it is done by searching from various sources about Batak Toba's Modern Clothing then reduced by selecting the necessary information. Research results show that ethnomatematics is present in a variety of fabric motifs, including Passamot, Pengantin, Holong, and Sadum. By understanding the interrelationship between mathematics and culture in the context of the textile fabric, mathematical learning can become more interesting and meaningful for students. The research also emphasizes the importance of understanding and preserving the cultural heritage of the Batak Toba tribe.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, critical and logical thinking processes are needed to solve problems correctly, including material about arithmetic sequences and series, which requires good concentration in studying it. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which aims to analyze students' thinking processes in solving problems of arithmetic sequences and series. The subjects in this research were class XI high school students. One of the abilities developed in learning mathematics is the ability to solve problems. Students can do math problems but are not good enough at analyzing and thinking optimally. This causes students' low ability to solve mathematical problems. The research results showed that students were able to work on calculated reasoning cycle questions. Because, in responding to or answering these questions the subject will generally use ideas that have been researched, and the subject can communicate or understand the methods taken to overcome these problems. Some students who use a semi-reasonable reasoning cycle when evaluated in solving problems are not ready to communicate it in their own words. In understanding a problem, students have used these ideas but not enough and students cannot. don't understand the steps to solve this problem. The equation used is correct, but the steps to overcome it are still inappropriate.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the readiness, attitude and motivation of self-learning towards collaborative online based mathematics learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The researcher applies a quantitative descriptive methods in this study. Data collection has been done by giving three kinds of questionnaires including readiness, attitude and self learning motivation during covid-19 pandemic, and has distributed to 80 students in 3 Senior High School and 1 Vacational High School at Nuha district. The result of this research shows that the students are ready for Mathematics learning collaborative online based during covid-19 pandemic. That is supported by their ability to operate the computer and the usage of internet as well as their online learning experience they have been through for 2 years in online learning situation. Students' motivation towards learning mathematics through the implementation of online based collaborative learning is inconsistent even though it is in moderate level of motivation. Some students prefer the face to face learning process to online learning process and think that the previous learning will provide better learning outcomes. This is a challenge for teachers to prepare for the new normal phase with more interesting teaching material, strategies and learning methods by the development of digitalization of learning

Abstract

This study discusses the Implementation of the Improved Zero Point Method in optimizing the distribution of rice at Perum Bulog Medan Branch Office with the goal to be achieved, namely, optimizing or minimizing the cost of distributing rice. In this study, problem solving was solved using the North West Corner Method as the initial solution, and the Improved Zero Point Method as the optimal solution. The results of this study obtained an initial solution, namely, Rp. 11,619,850, then we calculate using the optimal solution we get a reduction in distribution costs of Rp. 8,089,900.

Abstract

Insurance companies do not cover the entire risk of policyholders. The risk is generally transferred in part to the reinsurance company. Stop loss reinsurance is a form of reinsurance contract where there is a limit on the risk value that can be borne by the insurance company. This value is the retention value or retention limit in the reinsurance contract, which is the maximum risk or insurance value that can be borne by the insurance company. Determining the right retention value is very important. Optimizing the Value at Risk risk measure is one approach in calculating optimal retention. Optimal retention criteria were identified in this research so that optimal retention values ​​could be calculated. This research uses a large claim data sample with the Weibull distribution. Determining optimal retention depends on the distribution of claim sizes and loading factors (additional factors in the insurance policy). With a 95% confidence level, for loading factors of 10%, 15%, and 20%, the estimated optimal retention values ​​are $1,080.56, $1,393.54, and $1,567.20. This means that the risk transferred to the reinsurer is the remaining claim amount, if the claim size exceeds the optimal retention value.

Abstract

Currently, the world is being shocked by the existence of Corona Virus Disease or better known as Covid-19, so that people who lack food ingredients also automatically increase because many people are affected by mass layoffs which results in mass unemployment. The absence of a fixed income for some residents has caused access to meet basic needs for food to increase. Of course, during this pandemic. In meeting the demand for foodstuffs, the QUAIDS model is used to be able to see the food demand system. The model is implemented in the ADDIE Model so that it can be analyzed, designed, developed, and implemented to the community in order to see the need for food during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Based on research conducted at SMA Negeri 15 Bone, it shows that the mathematical reasoning abilities of students at this school are in the low category because the mathematics learning process is still dominated by teachers, which results in most students tending to accept whatever is said by the teacher, being silent and unwilling to express it. questions or opinions. This research is an experimental research with a Quasy Experimental Design research design in the form of Non-Equivalent Control Group Design which aims to find out the comparison between the GO CAR (Guided, Orientation, Challenge, Analysis, and Review) learning model and the GOLD (Guided, Organizing, Leafted) learning model. , Discovery) towards increasing students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 15 Bone. Samples were taken using a Non Random Sampling technique with Purposive Sampling type. Samples were taken from two classes, namely XI MIPA 6 as experimental class 1 and class and the GOLD (Guided, Organizing, Leafted, Discovery) learning model for improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This can be seen from the data resulting from the hypothesis using the Mann-Whitney test, with a significance value of 0.419 > 0.05, so H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that in this research there is no comparison between the GO CAR (Guided, Orientation, Challenge, Analysis, and Review) learning model and the GOLD (Guided, Organizing, Leafted, Discovery) learning model in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities at SMA Negeri 15 Bone.

Abstract

Angka harapan hidup merupakan dugaan hidup rata-rata seseorang atau dengan kata lain umur yang mungkin didapat seseorang yang lahir pada waktu tertentu. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik, Sumatera Utara berada pada posisi terendah di pulau Sumatera dengan rata-rata angka harapan hidup dengan angka 67,22 pada laki-laki dan 71,08 pada perempuan. Angka ini juga masih dibawah rata-rata angka harapan hidup nasional. Hal ini menunjukkan program-program kesehatan di Sumatera Utara perlu menjadi prioritas dalam pembangunan manusia di Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan umtuk memodelkan angka harapan hidup Sumatera Utara yaitu Regresi Semiparametrik Spline Truncated. Regresi semi parametrik merupakan perpaduan antara regresi parametrik dan regresi nonparametrik dengan sebagian bentuk pola data yang diketahui dan ada sebagian pola data yang tidak diketahui. Adapun tujuan yang didapatkan untuk mengetahui model terbaik dari hasil pola data hubungan variabel respon dan variabel prediktor. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai MSE sebesar 7,3893 dan GCV sebesar 1,3169. Dengan persamaan model sebagai berikut: Dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 39,47% yang dapat diartikan kemampuan variabel prediktor dalam menjelaskan variabel responnya sebesar 39,47% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.
