Abstract

The competition between processed chili businessmen is currently very tight, especially in the Surabaya area. where in the area there have been many home industries to promote superior products in the form of processed chili sauce in packaging. This condition encourages business people to innovate and develop related to purchasing behavior, consumer characteristics, and various advantages of product attributes.The purpose of this study is to 1) Know the characteristics of consumers who buy processed chilli products, 2) Know the consumer decision-making process in the purchase of processed chilli products, 3) Know the attributes that differentiate consumer decisions in buying processed chili products Brand Emak Ti and Dede Satoe . This type of research is qualitative descriptive using primary data. Data analysis method used is descriptive and discriminant analysis. The results of this study are: 1) The majority of consumers who purchase processed chili products are women who live in Surabaya and have an age range of 31-40 years, most of them work as private employees with an income of Rp.2,000.001-Rp.3,000,000 per the month. 2) Consumers make purchasing decisions through five stages, starting from need recognition, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase, to behavior after buying. 3) Attributes that differentiate are price, quality, brand and packaging.

Abstract

Based on coffee export data 2008-2017, the index value of Indonesia's coffee trade specialization is positive (0-1). The average value of ISPs of Indonesian coffee for 10 years is 0.91, meaning that Indonesia tends to be a coffee exporter country. Indonesian coffee has competitiveness  in the international market with an acceleration ratio value between 10.66 in 2012 to 53.76 in 2008. The always positive acceleration ratio (AR) value shows that Indonesian coffee is able to win the world coffee market. Indonesian coffee also has a comparative advantage with the value of Revealed Comparative Advantages (RCA) which is always positive. The highest RCA value of Indonesian coffee occurred in 2008 at 5.26 and the lowest RCA value in 2011 was 2.60, while the average RCA value of Indonesia was 3.93.

Abstract

Tempe Samodra is one of the industries that produce tempe since 1985 in the city of Surakarta. This study aims to identify and formulate internal and external factors that will be faced by Tempe Samodra, formulate alternative strategies that can be done for marketing Tempe Samodra products, and determine alternative priorities that can be done for marketing Tempe Samodra products. The basic method used is the descriptive-analytical method. The method of selecting research locations is done intentionally (purposive) and determining respondents using key informants. Data analysis methods used include (1) IFE and EFE Matrix, (2) Grand Strategy Matrix, (3) SWOT Matrix, (4) QSPM. The results showed that Tempe Samodra was in quadrant I in the Grand Strategy matrix. Alternative Strategies that can be applied based on the SWOT matrix are SO (strength-opportunity) strategies. Priority alternative strategies preferred in marketing Tempe Samodra products based on QSPM are introducing and promoting Tempe Samodra products to traders and consumers with a total attractiveness value of 6.215.

Abstract

Restaurant is an interesting business, because of the high profits. The high competition between culinary businesses can encourage businesses to reach consumer satisfaction, in order to get their loyalty. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the consumer satisfaction and loyalty at Langensari Restaurant. Accidental sampling was used to take 76 consumers as the research sample. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) were used to analyze the data. The study result shows that consumers visiting Langensari Restaurant were very satisfied with the score of 93,57 percent. It means that the restaurant performance in the form of products, fixed prices, places, and services were fulfill the consumers expectation. Price and place affected customer satisfaction, while product and service did not affect customer satisfaction. Satisfaction had a positive effect on loyalty. The higher the level of cunsomer satisfaction, the higher the loyalty. Products, prices, services, and places also indirectly influence loyalty. Restaurants should improve the performance in terms of products, prices, services, and places. They need to be improve the flavor, price affordability, and toilet cleanliness.

Abstract

One of the government's efforts in alleviating the poverty of rural residents who are living in the agricultural sector is the Rural Agribusiness Development Program (PUAP). Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo, Gadang Village, Malang City is one of the recipients of business capital assistance. This study aims to 1) find out the technical implementation of PUAP fund distribution activities in Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo, 2) Analyze the impact of PUAP implementation on the income of borrowing members in Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo. This research was carried out in Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo, Gadang Village, Malang City in January - October 2018. Sampling in this study used census method. The analytical method used is cost analysis, revenue, income and analysis of Paired Samples T Test to analyze the impact of the PUAP program on the income of Gapoktan members. The results of this study include: 1) Technical implementation of PUAP fund distribution activities in Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo  started from Gapoktan to submit proposals to the Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia, selection of PUAP Gapoktan proposals, proposals that passed the selection to get PUAP BLM Rp. 100.000.000, - which is transferred directly to Gapoktan account, then deliberation on the use of funds according to the proposal, the funds are distributed to each farmer group that has been adjusted to the Business Plan of Members (RUA) of the Farmers Group, 2) There is the impact of PUAP implementation on income borrowing members of funds in Gapoktan Mekar Mulyo, where the income of Gapoktan members after receiving the PUAP program is greater than the income of Gapoktan members before receiving the PUAP program.

Abstract

Organic rise is a rice which produce organically from paddy without using fertilizer and chemical perticides. The market demand on organic rice has increased drastically and effected on promising market prospect. Lombok Kulon village is one of the area di Bondowoso district has been applied organic farming on organic rice. Tani mandiri 1 is one of farmer group who are cultivating organic rice with the certificate. The subject of research was taken at Lombok Kulon village, Wonosari regency, Bondowoso district. The method of research was descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling. The objectives of the research are: (1) to analyze the financial structure; (2) To know the criteria of financial feasibility. The quantitave analysis is purposed to analyze the aspects of financial which are cash flow, NPV (Net Present Value), IRR  (Internal Rate of Return), Net B/C Ratio, Payback Period and sensitivity analysis financial. The research showed that Unit Processing Padi Organik Tani Mandiri I was a viable unit based on the result of financial analysis. It was proved by NPV score which was Rp. 1.456.180.006 with 6 % of discount rate, the score of Net B/C Ratio was 1,65 or more than (>) 1, and IRR score was 23,80% or more than (>) 6% of bank interest rate.Organic rise is a rice which produce organically from paddy without using fertilizer and chemical perticides. Abstract

Chili is vegetables that have an important role in agriculture in Indonesia. Generally, the amount of chili production is determined by the harvested area and productivity of the land. Chili is one of the main horticulture products in Indonesia. Kediri District is potential as a center of chili’s production. According to Ibrahim, 2012 there are four major sub-district in the production of chili commodities, such as Kepung District, Puncu District, Papar District, and Pagu District. The determination of a commodity to be a superior commodity in Kediri District based on the consideration that not all vegetable commodities are suitable to be developed in all places. The purpose of this research is 1) Knowing the growth of chili’s production, 2) Analyze the Location Quotient of chili in Kediri District, 3) Analyze the Location Quotient of cayenne in Kediri District. This research is using secondary data. This research data was analyzed by Location Quotient (LQ). This research shows that the growth of harvested area has fluctuated every year. Chili’s production has fluctuated during 2014-2016. Cayenne’s production has fluctuated during 2014-2016. Mojo sub-district is basis area of harvested area and chili’s production for last three years. Pagu District sub-district is basis area of harvested area and cayenne’s production for last three years.

Abstract

Pangkah Wetan village has begun to utilize mangrove forests. At present, mangrove forests have been developed as ecotourism objects, however, the management has not developed them maximally. This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as to analyze the strategies used in developing ecotourism at Muara Bengawan Solo Mangrove. Six key informants were selected as resource persons, while 30 respondents were selected by accidental sampling, they became the subject of analysis. The tool used is SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results shows that the biggest score 1.84  was obtained at the opportunity, while the threat score was 0.84 so that this mangrove ecotourism still has many opportunities that could be used in developing ecotourism. The scores of strengths and weaknesses are 1.62 and 1.22, with a score difference of 0.4 only. The strength is only a slight difference from its weaknesses. Based on QSPM, an alternative strategy is obtained with the highest score of 5.71% at the first alternative. Application of the strategy used in developing mangrove ecotourism is the improvement of facilities provided to visitors.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and to analyze the variables which influenced the chicken egg demand in Magetan District and to know its elasticity. This research used descriptive and analytical method. The research location was chosen purposively in Magetan. By using 27 years time series data, this study applied Cobb Douglass demand functing with OLS method. The results showed that the price of chicken egg race, chicken meat price, rice price, population and income per capita have significant effect on chicken egg demand in Magetan District. Race egg price has inelastic elasticity since its value is negative (-0,280). Chicken meat price has subtitute elasticity since its value is positive (0,911). Rice price has complementary elasticity since its value is negative (-0,233). Income elasticity has a negative (-0,476) value means that chicken egg is an inferior good for Magetan District.

Abstract

This research aims to know: supply chain management; supply chain management model; and supply chain performance of cassava in tiwul instan agroindustry, Gunungkidul Regency.  This research is a descriptive study. The location of the research is determine by purposive method. Data analysis method is descriptive using Food Supply Chain Network approach (Vorst) while the supply chain performance is measured by marketing margin and farmer’s share calculation. The result of this research shows that supply chain of cassava in tiwul instan agroindustry choose the domestic market as the target market while the development target of this supply chain is improvement in technology, coordination and collaboration, and the procurenment of formal contract agreement among the chain members. Cooperation is conducted by the basic of oral contract among the chain members, the transcation system is done in cash, and there has been government support such as capital aid, equipment, and training of human resource development. The management model of supply chain consist of farmer, collectors, market traders, and tiwul instan agroindustry as the chain members whom performing different activities depending on the input and the output. The most efficient channels is SC4 (farmer (gaplek) à market trader (gaplek) à tiwul instan agroindustry). SC4 is efficient because it has a relatively low marketing margin, relatively high farmer’s share and higher benefit and cost ratio than other channels.
