Abstract

This study aimed to analyze cost and revenue of vegetable farm in Ratu Agung district Bengkulu city. Location determined purposively with criteria as vegetable production center in Bengkulu city. Bengkulu city has potency for vegetable farm that can be grown in lowland and not needing a large area. Vegetable dominantly planted is water spinach, collards, and spinach. Method used in this study is survey method. Sample determined in this study by proportional random sampling. Data used in this study were primary and secondary. The study result shows that vegetable farm in RatuAgung district Bengkulu city can be developed as consumer needs provider of vegetables in Bengkulu city where R/C score of the three vegetables are >1. BEP score of production volume and price BEP has passed the break even point, only B/C ratio for spinach scored less than one.

Abstract

Based on coffee export data 2008-2017, the index value of Indonesia's coffee trade specialization is positive (0-1). The average value of ISPs of Indonesian coffee for 10 years is 0.91, meaning that Indonesia tends to be a coffee exporter country. Indonesian coffee has competitiveness  in the international market with an acceleration ratio value between 10.66 in 2012 to 53.76 in 2008. The always positive acceleration ratio (AR) value shows that Indonesian coffee is able to win the world coffee market. Indonesian coffee also has a comparative advantage with the value of Revealed Comparative Advantages (RCA) which is always positive. The highest RCA value of Indonesian coffee occurred in 2008 at 5.26 and the lowest RCA value in 2011 was 2.60, while the average RCA value of Indonesia was 3.93.

Abstract

A market is a meeting place for sellers and buyers who are conducting transactions, both goods, and services. One of the main items for buying and selling activities is agricultural commodities as the main source of food. One of the most found and popular markets is the traditional market. The purpose of this research is to analyze together the influence of product factors, income, quantity, quality of place, service on the decision to buy agricultural commodities in the traditional Kepanjen market, and which factors are the most dominant. The sampling technique used accidental sampling, with the number of respondents 88 and multiple linear regression. The results of the research are the characteristics of the respondents are dominated by the female gender, ranging in age from 36-55, having a family of 3-4 people, junior high school education, and with an income ranging from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000. The results of the F test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.119, which means that there is a joint influence on the variables of income, quantity, quality of place, service on the decision to buy agricultural commodities in the traditional Kepanjen market. While the t-test obtained two variables that have a value less than 0.15, namely the quantity variable 0.140 and the service variable 0.016 which means that it is partially influential and the most dominant is the service variable which influences the decision to buy agricultural commodities in the traditional market of Kepanjen Malang.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kungkai Baru Kecamatan Air Periukan Kabupaten  Seluma.    Materi  kegiatan  ini  adalah  pemanfaatan  limbah  kulit  kopi,  dimana limbah  kulit  kopi  dapat  dimanfaatkan  untuk  pakan  ternak,  kerajinan  tangan  dan  pupuk kompos yang   memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi..  Sasaran khalayak dari kegiatan  pengabdian ini  adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani Rafflesia di Desa Kungkai Baru Kecamatan Air Periukan Kabupaten Seluma sebanyak 32 orang. Manfaat dari Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (1) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan   ibu-ibu   anggota   kelompok   wanita   tani   dalam pemanfaatan limbah kulit kopi   (2) Menambah wawasan ibu-ibu anggota kelompok wanita tani untuk membuka peluang usaha home industri pembuatan kerajinan tangan boneka  dari kulit kopi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan dan demonstrasi  dengan beberapa tahap kegiatan meliputi kegiatan persiapan atau pra pengbdian berupa koordinasi dan penjelasan mengenai kegiatan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan satu kali dalam rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian berupa penyuluhan tentang pemanfaatan limbah kulit kopi dan demonstrasi pembuatan kerajinan tangan boneka dari kulit kopi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini,  antara lain  (1)  ibu-ibu anggota kelompok wanita di desa Kungkai Baru sangat antusias mengikuti seluruh tahapan kegiatan pengabdian ini (2) Meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu anggota kelompok wanita  tani  dalam  pembuatan  kerajinan  tangan  dari  limbah    kulit  kopi  (3)  terbukanya wawasan dan pemikiran ibu-ibu anggota kelompok wanita tani tentang manfaat dari limbah kulit kopi sebagai peluang usaha baru

Abstract

Batu City is an agricultural area that implements an organic farming system. the emergence of organic farming system as part of a sustainable agriculture system which is one of the answers to the degradation of the agricultural environment, the dependence of farmers on the components of the green revolution and the fading of local wisdom in farmers is very important to get serious attention. The purpose of this research is to describe the perceptions and analyze the factors of adoption of innovations in organic vegetable farming in Batu City. The method of taking the population and the sample of this study were determined by the census method. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of farmers, the nature of technology and the competency of instructors have a positive and significant effect on the adoption of innovations. The factor that has the most influence on the adoption of organic vegetable farming innovations in Batu City is the competency of extension workers. Recommendations that can be given are frequent counseling about organic agriculture and there must also be an understanding of the mindset of the extension participants so that counseling runs optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Break Event Point (BEP) dan Return Of Investment (ROI) pada usaha ikan asin di kelurahan sumber jaya kecamatan kampung melayu kota Bengkulu.Lokasi  penelitian i ditentukan  dengan cara sengaja (porposive) mengingat  lokasi tersebut merupakan salah satu sentra produksi ikan asin di kota Bengkulu yaitu di kelurahan Sumber Jaya kecamatan kampung melayu kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sensus yaitu dengan mengambil seluruh anggota populasi sebagai responden.Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa usaha ikan asin dikelurahan sumber jaya kecamatan kampung melayu kota Bengkulu sudah melampauii BEP dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 1.378.797,- per produksi. Nilai ROI usaha ikan asin di kelurahan  Sumber Jaya kecamatan Kampung Melayu kota Bengkulu sebesar 2,21%. Kata kunci : Break Event Point, Return Of Investment (ROI), Ikan Asin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan  dan efisiensi usaha penggilingan padi di Kota Bengkulu.. Metode penentuan daerah penelitian adalah secara purposive (sengaja), dengan pertimbangan di Kota Bengkulu ada tiga kecamatan yang mempunyai usaha penggilingan padi yaitu Kecamatan Singaran Pati, Kecamatan Muara Bangkahulu dan Kecamatan Sungai SerutMetode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey.  Penentuan sampel adalah dengan metode Proporsional Random Sampling.            Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya tetap yang dikeluarkan  responden  adalah sebesar Rp. 61.256,58  dan biaya  variabelnya sebesar Rp. 19.435.375 sehinggan biaya totalnya adalah  sebesar Rp. 19.496.631,58. Pendapatan usaha penggilingan padi rata-rata di kota Bengkulu sebesar Rp. 7.481.528,42. Nilai efisiensi usaha penggilingan padi di Kota bengkulu sebesar 1,38. Dengan demikian usaha penggilingan padi dikota Bengkulu adalah menguntungkan dan efisien. Keywords : usaha penggilingan padi,  pendapatan dan efisiensi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan dan memahami pelaksanaan pitungan Jawa dalam aktivitas permulaan waktu tanam pada petani di Kelurahan Temas, Kecamatan Batu, Kota Batu. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Peneliti tinggal di lokasi penelitian selama pelaksanaan penelitian dengan mengamati, melihat, ikut serta, dan berdiskusi dengan warga lokasi penelitian, khususnya para informan. Informan dalam penelitian berjumlah 7 orang terdiri dari penduduk setempat yang memiliki primbon Jawa, mengetahui dan memahami serta mengaplikasikan pitungan Jawa, bersedia berdiskusi secara terbuka dengan peneliti. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan pengumpulan, penyajian, reduksi atau kondensasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi pitungan Jawa dalam upaya menentukan awal bercocok tanam bervariasi. Menurut petani, pitungan Jawa adalah kearifan lokal yang perlu dilestarikan. Mereka percaya pada nasihat orang tua mengenai hal-hal buruk yang telah terbukti di masa lalu apabila tidak mengikuti perkiraan dalam primbon. Petani beranggapan bahwa penerapan pitungan Jawa adalah salah satu bentuk ikhtiar kepada Allah SWT. Meskipun demikian petani tetap menganut ajaran agama dan menghindari tindakan yang bertentangan dengan syariat Islam. Bentuk implementasi pitungan Jawa di Kelurahan Temas tidak persis sama dengan ketentuan yang tertulis dalam primbon, seperti halnya tidak lagi menyediakan sesajen yang ditempatkan dalam takir. Syarat utama petani yang akan melakukan pitungan Jawa yakni haruslah mengingat hari meninggal orang tua dan tanggal 1 Suro. Apabila hasil pitungan Jawa jatuh pada hari tersebut, petani dilarang memulai penanaman. Harapannya adalah untuk menghindari rintangan buruk. Acuan yang digunakan oleh petani adalah oyot, wit, godhong, uwoh yang disesuaikan dengan jenis tanaman yang akan ditanam.        This study aims to describe and understand the implementation of Javanese calculations in the activity of starting planting time for farmers in Temas Village, Batu District, Batu City. Researchers used a qualitative research approach that was classified as an ethnographic research method. Researchers stay at the research location during the implementation of the research by observing, seeing, participating in, and discussing with residents of the research location, especially informants. There are 7 informants in the study consisting of local residents who have Javanese Primbon, know and understand and apply Javanese calculations, willing to have open discussions with researchers. Data analysis was carried out by collecting, presenting, reducing/condensing, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the perception of the Javanese count in the effort to determine the start of planting varied. According to farmers, Javanese pitung is local wisdom that needs to be preserved. They trust their parents' advice about bad things that have been proven in the past if they don't follow the predictions in the Primbon. Farmers think that the application of Javanese calculations is a form of endeavor to Allah SWT. Even so, farmers still adhere to religious teachings and avoid actions that are contrary to Islamic law. The form of implementation of the Javanese calculation in Kelurahan Temas is not exactly the same as the provisions written in the Primbon, such as no longer providing offerings that are placed in takir. The main requirement for farmers to do Javanese calculations is to remember the day their parents died and the 1st of Suro. If the results of the Javanese calculations fall on those days, the farmer is prohibited from starting planting. The hope is to avoid bad obstacles. The references used by farmers are oyot, wit, godhong, uwoh which are adjusted to the type of plant to be planted.
