Abstract

Academic supervision is a form of assistance from supervisors to improve the quality ofschool management and develop the competence of teachers to become professional educators.Efforts to create a good and conducive teaching and learning situation are not denied by variousnegative factors that arise by inhibiting the process to achieve the goals that have been set. Inthe end all organizational activities must be monitored with good, effective, efficient and systematicsupervision. The form of school supervisor services is directed towards improving and improvingthe competence of teachers to be professional educators. For this reason, the presence of schoolsupervisors as supervisors in the education unit is very important to conduct periodic monitoring,in order to build an integrated, patterned and integrated education system so that the goals ofteaching can be achieved. The supervision action is as guidance, not as examiner, so that theform of the problems faced can be solved easily, quickly and unsustainably. As an effort tounderstand deeper and broader, strengthen competence and increase the professionalism ofschool supervisors in the development of school quality and education in general.Keywords: School Supervisor, School Quality

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) differences in students ' science learning achievementafter learning by using a scientific approach aided the portfolio assessment, (2) differences instudents' science learning achievement after learning by using a scientific approach aidedassessment portfolio, after controling the learning variable styles, and (3) contribution ofcovariates learning style on science learning achievement in IV grade of SD Negeri 4 KampungBaru. The type of this study is pre-experimental study with research design with one grouppretest posttest design. The study population was all students in IV grade on A class of SD N 4Banjar Tegal at 2014/2015 academic year and consisting of 28 students. This research sample isIV grade on A class of SD Negeri 4 Kampung Baru and the totaling 28 students selected to studycensus techniques. Data collection instruments used in this study is the science achievement testand test Learning Styles. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Basedon the results of the data analysis, the results are as follows. First there are significant differencesof science student learning achievement after learning by using scientific approach assistedassessment portfolio (Fhitung = 62.642> Ftabel = 4.22), second, there is a significant differenceon students' science learning achievement after learning by using a scientific approach aidedthe portfolio assessment after learning styles are controlled the variable (F count = 45.526>Ftabel = 4.22), and third, there are a significant contribution on covariates learning stylestoward students' science learning achievement (Fhitung = 0.505> Ftabel = 0.374).Keywords: Learning Achievement, Scientific Approach, Learning Style

Abstract

Education is a process that involves many people, and is the responsibility of everyone.In the process of education requires a strategy that is implemented in teaching and learningactivities with a view to be able to realize the objectives of learning with more optimal. Theprocess of education does not only happen in the school environment, but happens, even moreso, in the family environment. It means that both the family and the school share responsibilityfor education. Abstract

Balinese language has really rich lexicon / vocabularies packaged in a frame of bothtraditional culture and religion. One of the cultural activities which is interesting to be studiedfrom linguistic point of view is tabuh rah or tajen (traditional cockfighting) which own uniquevocabularies with its specific characteristics that cannot be understood by societies. The termsused in this tradition are property of Balinese language that need to be comprehended both fromits own root word and the words that have undergone morphological process. Morphologicalprocess basically is a word formation process from its root word and the addition of affixation,repetition and reduplication, and pluralisation (Ramlan, 1983:5). Research method used in thisstudy is descriptive qualitative by using interview technique to obtain the data about thevocabularies in this tradition from the informants. Abstract

Balinese language is one of the many regional languages that are still alive and well in thecountry of Indonesia which is well maintained by the speakers, namely ethnic Balinese. Balineseas a mother tongue or first language for the majority of Balinese has an important role, namelyas a symbol of pride, symbol of identity, and widely used as a communication tool in variousactivities in the household and outside the household which cover various activities of thecommunity's social life Bali. Based on a glimpse of the background above, it is necessary toexamine the following: (1) how to build a single Balinese sentence? and (2) How to build BalineseCompound Sentences? Related to the formulation of the problem to be discussed, the purpose ofwriting is: (1) to Know the Single Sentences of Balinese Language and (2) to Know the CompoundSentences of Balinese Language. Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that theresults of this study are as follows: (1) Building a single sentence is an effort to develop asentence that relies on one pattern (clause), which consists of a subject and predicate (a sentenceconsisting of only one clause). Single sentences are the simplest sentences. (2) Building compoundsentences is an attempt to develop sentences, which are carried out by combining two or moresingle sentences, so that the new sentence contains two or more clauses.Keywords: Syntax, Single Sentences, Compound Sentences

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of parents in instilling children'sinterest in listening to Dhamma sermon in Wonogiri Regency, also knowing the reason of a childis interested in listening to sermon of Dhamma. This study used qualitative research methods.The approach used is case studies. The role of parents in instilling children's interest in listeningto Dhamma sermon (dhammadesana), is carried out through the role of educating, guiding,habituating, giving and setting an example, in addition to involving children in pujabhaktiactivities. The thing that causes children to be interested in listening to Dhamma lectures is thecuriosity of the theme or the subject, the presence of lecturers, who are prominent or famous, inaddition to the attraction of the location or place of the Dhamma sermon. Another externalfactor that is not from the internal factor nor the parents either is from the teacher of Buddhisteducation who provides motivation.Keywords: Parents, children's interests, sermon of dhamma

Abstract

Stylistics is the science of using language in literary works. Use of language stylesspecifically in literature. The language style that arises when the author expresses his idea. Thisstyle of language is an art effect and is influenced by conscience. Through this style of languagea poet expresses his idea. Disclosure of ideas created through beauty in the author's languagestyle. In Geguritan Salampahlaku The work of Ida Made Sidemen Geguritan Salampah Laku isa composition of Bali Purwa poetry whose choice of words has been precisely and carefullydetermined by the poet (Ida Pedanda Made Sidemen), so that both the title and lyrics in theverses are heard as a unified whole and attracts the audience to explore deeper into the contentsof the geguritan. This Geguritan tells the life journey of an Ida Pedanda Made Sidemen. Throughthe stories arranged array where the poet appears to create cohesive meaning from the beginningto the end through concrete words. The concrete arrangement as a whole tells how Ida PedandaMade Sidemen's life journey is full of simplicity. Geguritan Salampah Laku is also a literarywork that is very rich in plastic language (Figurative Language) where the figure of an IdaPedanda Made Sidemen who is very humble, can be seen in the use of majas-majas litotes whichalways declares his deficiencies and does not want to glorify himself. Poets are also very concernedabout the pattern of taxation that was built by the pupuh-upuh which is certainly bound by therules of padalingsa, the teacher of wilang, and the master teacher. The tone conveyed is aphilosophical tone that appears from the poets' life philosophies as outlined in the literary work.In Geguritan Salampah Laku the Poet implies a moral message as an opening, that is, in thislife, don't ever glorify yourself or boast.Keywords: Geguritan Salampah Laku, Stylistics

Abstract

The current model of learning is still transmissible, it affects the learning outcomesachieved. In general there are still many students who do not reach the value of KKM that hasbeen established school. The influence of ICT in the learning process has changed the paradigmof learning from teacher centered to student centered. Teachers as initiators of education mustbe able to follow the global flow and ICT control. This suggests that the learning process shouldemphasize student activity in learning. The application of ICT in learning which by some expertopinion gives a big impact on the progress of education will not be useful if the implementationis not well designed by the teacher. ICT-based learning activities are generally structured toassist in building concepts, knowledge procedures and expressing student expression in learning.The rapid development of information technology in the current era of globalization and itsdevelopment has influenced the world of education. Abstract

This study aims to explore, analyze, and describe school management which includesthe implementation of school management functions, strategies in implementing vision andmission, improving quality, and innovation. The study was conducted at Tunas Daud SejahteraMataram Elementary School, using a qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that,the application of management functions in the management of Tunas Daud Sejahtera ChristianSchool is coordinated by the foundation by involving all components of the school. The strategiesused by school management to achieve the stated vision and mission are several things, including;Building a pleasant heavenly atmosphere (build a home), Designing Schools as: House ofAdoption: declaring God's Father's love for everyone, House of Learning: preparing everyonefor a life-long learner - learning obedience and norms (what the king likes ), House of Royalty:training the power they have, House of Authority: preparing learners to become kings / queens/ rulers in using their power and possessions. Designing a school as a Center of excellent: doingbest education practices. To support the improvement of school quality, management alsoaccommodates various innovations. Innovation in information technology, budding David Camp,and the Rise Student Comparison program. This study recommends that managers of educationalinstitutions such as schools, in an effort to improve school quality, need to pay attention to allaspects of the school organization.Keywords: Analysis, School Management, Education Quality

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe the difference of students’ achievement andcritical thinking in science subject by using Think Talk Write Strategy which is followed byconventional learning; to describe students’ outcome in learning science by using both strategiestype talk write strategy and conventional one; to describe students’ critical thinking by usingboth strategies, type talk write and conventional learning. This study is an quasi-experimentresearch which uses randomized post-test only control group design at 4 grade students in SDGugus IV Abiansemal District. By using a random pair of equal groups, the 4 grade students’ inSD N 4 Abiansemal, which consist of 31 students, is selected as experiment group and for thecontrol group is the 4 grade students’ in SD N 3 Abiansemal, which consist of 33 students.Analysis of research using one-way Manova shows: 1) learning outcomes and critical thinkingskills students who follow the TTW type cooperative learning model are significantly higherthan students who follow conventional learning models proven from the F value for Wilks lambdahas a significance smaller than 0,05, 2) Student learning outcomes in science learning thatfollow the TTW type of cooperative learning model is higher than conventional learning this isevidenced by the statistical value F = 8,918 with a significance level smaller than 0,05. 3)Students’ critical thinking ability in science learning that follows the TTW type of cooperativelearning model is higher than conventional learning, this is evidenced by the statistical value F= 14,732 with a significance level less than 0,05.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Think-Talk-Write Strategy, Conventional Learning,Achievement, and Critical Thinking Skills
