Abstract

This study aims to describe the healing process of diabetic foot wounds monitored through telemedicine during the Coronavirus disease-19 pandemic. The method used in this study was a case report of a 64-year-old patient with a history of grade IV diabetic foot injuries after amputation of the thumb on the right foot. The time needed to do telemedicine as a medium for monitoring wound conditions and education is about 30 minutes. The results showed that wound healing was significantly successful, within one month, as many as ten dressing changes with a duration of once every three days. In conclusion, telemedicine contributes positively to efforts to heal diabetic foot wounds. Keywords: Case Report, COVID-19, Diabetic Foot Sores, Telemedicine

Abstract

This study aims to identify various complementary therapies that can overcome nausea and vomiting in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. The method used is a literature search from different online databases. The results showed several complementary therapies to treat nausea and vomiting in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, such as acupressure, yoga, acupuncture, foot massage therapy, breathing exercises and guided imagery combined with progressive muscle relaxation. In conclusion, several complementary therapies are significantly effective in overcoming nausea and vomiting in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of multimedia-based education in improving medication adherence and self-care in post-PCI patients. The method used in this study is a literature search based on several online databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, ScienceDirect, Wiley Online, Cambridge Core published from 2017-2021. The results showed that multimedia-based education, including smartphone-based education, text messages, and telephones, effectively increased adherence to medication and self-care in post-PCI patients. In conclusion, the application of multimedia/digital-based interventions and education is a solution that can be applied to inpatient care at home. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of foot pump exercise on edema diameter in patients with leg edema. The research method used is a literature review. The results showed a significant decrease in pitting edema and edema diameter when doing leg exercises in patients with leg edema. In conclusion, leg exercises in flexion and extension in the edematous leg area combined with leg elevation decrease the edema diameter. Keywords: Fluid Overload, Leg Edema, Leg Pump Exercise

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety and pain levels in patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery. The method used in this research is a literature review by searching online databases: Ebscohost, Wiley Online, Proquest, Pubmed, & ScienceDirect. The results showed that music therapy was effective in reducing anxiety and pain. The type of music provided is mostly natural music, the duration is 20-30 minutes and the level is 25-60 dB. In conclusion, music therapy effectively reduces anxiety and pain in patients with CABG surgery. Keywords: Anxiety, Pain, CABG Surgery, Music Therapy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between breast self-examination (BSE) and the stage of breast cancer at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2020. The method used is a mixed-method with a Sequential Explanatory Design. Sampling technique using Consecutive Sampling. Quantitative data was obtained through questionnaires and qualitative data using interviews. The results showed that the number of respondents who were not good at breast self-examination (BSE) was 64 (58.2%) and respondents who were good at breast self-examination (BSE) were 46 (41.6%). The most common breast cancer stages were at stage 3 of 67 (63.9%), stage 2 of 30 (27.3%) and the least at stage 4 was 13 (11.8%) with a p-value = 0.020. In conclusion, there is a relationship between breast self-examination (BSE) and the stage of breast cancer. Keywords: Breast Self-Examination (BSE), Breast Cancer Stage

Abstract

This study aims to identify problems and determine improvement strategies to overcome burnout nurses. The research method used is a case report to assess quality improvement with an 8-step approach to change starting from problems with observation and screening of burnout using the Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), analysis using a fishbone approach, determining improvement strategies, implementing and program evaluation. The results showed that 55% of nurses experienced a decrease in self-esteem, but through the Empowerment Psychotherapy program: Three Good Things, which was carried out for two weeks, it was able to reduce the burnout level of nurses as assessed by the Mini Z burnout survey. In conclusion, Empowerment Psychotherapy: Three Good Things can overcome nurse burnout problems. It is recommended that the implementation of this program be carried out thoroughly in all work units. Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of progressive muscle relaxation using regional languages on family stress who care for family members who experience schizophrenia. The method used in this research is Case Report with a pre-posttest. The results showed that Progressive Muscle Relaxation using Regional Languages could reduce family stress in caring for family members who experience schizophrenia. In conclusion, progressive muscle relaxation interventions with regional languages can help families experiencing stress in caring for family members with schizophrenia. Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of the clinical authority of nurses in outpatient units based on the level of competence of nurses. The research method used is a case study (identification of problems, problem analysis and problem priority setting, preparation of Plan of Action (POA), implementation and evaluation). The results showed that the performance of clinical authority by nurses according to the level of the career path they had, namely nurses with PK I level of clinical authority were sometimes carried out (66.7%), PK II Medical Surgery (50%) and PK III Medical (57.1%) levels of authority. Clinically, it is rarely performed, at the level of PK III, the clinical authority is often performed (60%), at the PK III level, the clinical authority is emergency (100%), the PK III level is Neuroscience. Clinicians often do it (50%) and the PK III, Nephrology level of clinical authority, is always done (75%). In conclusion, there are still many particular actions according to the level of competence that is rare and cannot even be carried out because there are no such actions in outpatient installations. Abstract

This study aims to provide evidence-based information to support nursing care with clinical expertise in relieving dyspnea. The method used is a literature review on the Pubmed, EBSCO Host, Google Scholar and ClinicalKey databases with predetermined keywords. The results showed that the fan therapy intervention had a beneficial effect in relieving dyspnea experienced by terminal cancer patients. In conclusion, fan therapy intervention proved to be effective in reducing dyspnea. Keywords: Dyspnea, Fan-on-Face Therapy, Terminal Cancer
