Abstract

This study is motivated by the high rate of decompression sickness in traditional divers on bungin island who have difficulty recovering. the problem in this study is “the application of scuba diving techniques to reduce the risk of decompression sickness in traditional divers on Bungin Island”. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of applying scuba diving techniques on reducing the risk of decompression sickness. this research is an experimental study. This study uses two variables consisting of one independent variable (application of scuba diving techniques) and one dependent variable, namely (decreased risk of decompression sickness). The population used in this study were traditional divers who were included in the inclusion and exclusion criteria, totaling 24 divers. The sampling technique used is porposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using pretest and posttest methods. The data analysis technique uses t test analysis with a significant level of 5%. Because t count is 22.73 which is compared with t table at a significant level of 5% at degrees of freedom n-1 (24-1 = 23) which is 1.714. Because t count > t table (22.73 > 1.714), the working hypothesis is accepted so it can be concluded that this study has an effect on the application of scuba diving techniques to reduce the risk of decompression sickness in traditional divers on Bungin Island.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the anthropometric factors of physical conditions that have a dominant influence on the feeder's ability in sepaktakraw. This study applies a quantitative approach with an associative research type. Associative research aims to identify the relationship or influence between two or more variables. In this study, two types of statistical analysis were used, namely simple correlation tests and multiple linear regression tests. The research sample was taken using a purposive random sampling technique of 15 athletes. Data were collected through anthropometric tests, physical condition tests, and feeder tests in sepaktakraw sports. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS application. The results of this study indicate that the variables that do not significantly affect feeder skills with the partial test method (t-test) are height 0.858, body mass index 0.087, leg length 0.558, aerobic endurance 0.147. Thus, in this study the anthropometric factors that have a dominant influence on sepaktakraw feeder skills are the length of the sole of the foot, while the physical condition factor that has a dominant influence on sepaktakraw feeder skills is agility. This finding is expected to enable Central Java sepak takraw coaches to pay attention to the anthropometric components and physical conditions that have a dominant influence on improving sepak takraw performance.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of equestrian sports tourism at Sidomulyo Stable Nature Tourism. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews with owners, managers, and tourists, as well as documentation studies as secondary data. The data was analyzed using SWOT analysis. Based on the collected data, although Sidomulyo Stable has had a positive economic and social impact through its unique horse riding tourism concept, and has not caused significant environmental impact thanks to good horse manure management, potential threats to the preservation of protected forests remain prominent if future development does not prioritize the principles of green design. In addition, managers also face operational challenges in the form of horse maintenance costs and professional trainers, while tourists want improved supporting facilities and better safety guidelines, and the community hopes to be more involved in development and training. In conclusion, Sidomulyo Stable Nature Tourism has great potential, provided that there are updates to the attractions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multidimensional role of coaches in optimizing soccer team training programs, with a case study of Lagarmanu FC in Lemanu Village. The method used is qualitative with an intrinsic case study design, where data is collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with coaches, players, and managers, as well as document studies. The results of the study reveal that coaches play a role in four key dimensions: technical-tactical, physical, mental-motivational, and managerial. The success of the training program is determined by the coach's ability to synergistically integrate these four dimensions, with situational leadership and effective interpersonal communication. The discussion shows that this holistic approach offers novelty by consolidating the role of the coach as a tactical architect, psychologist, manager, and data analyst in a unified framework, which is in line with current leadership and sports psychology theories. The research conclusion emphasizes that optimizing training programs in the modern era requires coaches to act as “specialist generalists,” capable of synergizing sports science, psychology, management, and technology to create a holistic, player-centered training environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure athletes' understanding of the latest regulations, so that the results can be useful for athletes in increasing their awareness of the importance of understanding regulations, for coaches as evaluation material for coaching, and for sports coaches as consideration in organizing more structured training on regulations. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method, which is an approach that focuses on the presentation and interpretation of an object according to its actual conditions without any data manipulation. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The sample in this study consisted of 16 freestyle wrestling athletes from Tanah Laut Regency participating in the 2025 POPDA. Based on the results of the study on the level of knowledge of the 2025 POPDA freestyle wrestling athletes from Tanah Laut Regency regarding the latest freestyle competition rules, it was found that most athletes had a good understanding. A total of 12 athletes (75%) were in the high knowledge category, indicating that the dissemination of information and training on the rules had been quite effective. However, there were still 2 athletes whose knowledge was classified as low (12.5%) and 2 athletes whose knowledge was very low (12.5%). The conclusion is that the level of knowledge of Tanah Laut Regency POPDA freestyle wrestling athletes regarding the latest freestyle regulations is good, with the majority of athletes falling into the high category.
