Animating is one part of the 3D animation production stage. Animating stage plays a big role in making an animated movie, because at this stage the movement of the character will be the determinant in delivering the story message in the animated movie. The problem that is often found in this animating process is that the movements made or produced still look stiff and make the story difficult to convey. Therefore, a way is needed so that the animation has a smooth movement and the message can be conveyed well. The pose to pose method is one way that can be used, so that the movement in an animated video or movie becomes smooth while still paying attention to existing animation principles. This research aims to apply the pose to pose method to the animated film "Legenda BatangBangau" and produce good animation quality. This research was conducted using a Luther-Sutopo metode. The author applies the pose to pose method to the animation, then writes down how the method is applied and what is found in the application of the method.By using the pose to pose method, animation creation becomes faster and more efficient. This research successfully applied the pose to pose method to the animation "Legenda Batang Bangau" and produced a good quality animation. This research is expected to help readers in producing good quality animation movements.

Recently, there are still many misconceptions among students in the learning process. Various studies recommend that students can collaborate actively and interactively in a practical approach. PBL (Project-Based Learning) is a project-based learning approach for conducting in-depth investigations of a topic. Each student must produce a product to gain deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems. This product is related to the Character Design course which requires competence in making character concepts according to stories that have been made before, so as to support student assessment. The entire story concept and character visuals are made suitable for all ages in a light and entertaining way. The purpose of this study is to compile an infographic that contains the character concepts in Petualangan Steve. The research method used is a Design Triangle research method, with a focus on deepening the practice of character concept design which includes verbal information from the story. By designing this character concept, the audience can easily understand the visualization or shape of the character by predicting what the expression, physical form, and other details will look like based on the story concept.

Places like Bali, Tower of Pisa, The Eiffel Tower and such are called Tourist Attractions. The reason is that because of the functionality of the system is to serves as a recreational for tourists and best spots during vacations. However plastic waste and litterings have been a major ongoing issue across the world, not only it’s ruining the environment but it also reduces the lifespan of the surrounding ecosystem of the tourist attraction themselves. Indonesia has been the world’s number 3 worst plastic processing country in the world and the places that usually a go to spot for tourists have been contaminated by plastics, either by the locals or the tourists that currently visiting the place. According to Nat Geo’s report that in 2050, there will be at least 12 trillion plastic waste if the accumulation of plastic wastes is not prevented. Educating people to increase and spread awareness about how bad the plastic waste problem are now and how we as an individual reduces the upcoming plastic waste disaster is important, therefore an animation video that acts as an awareness media is created in hope to delivers the messages and prevent people from littering on a tourist attractions.

Currently, the number of drug users is increasing every year. This problem is not only faced by Indonesian people, but also almost all countries. From the statement of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), there were 851 cases of drug abuse involving a total of 1350 suspects in 2022. And the data increased from the previous year. Many people already know that drugs are prohibited items that are very dangerous because they not only harm the users themselves, but also the people around them because they can cause symptoms such as dependence, hallucinations and convulsions. It is therefore very important to remind relatives or friends to avoid drugs because if they use drugs, they have to deal with the law and can be imprisoned for a long time. Based on this problem, Yayasan Cinderella Indonesia worked with the police to give jobs to female prisoners where the proceeds would be donated to people in need. The foundation then came up with the idea to create an animation project to inform the public about the dangers of drugs. And in 2021, Cinderella Foundation collaborated with Politeknik Negeri Batam in creating an animated film project entitled Ficusia.

The use of instructional media that is still manual as well as students' limitations in understanding the material and the lack of student motivation in learning causes teachers difficulties in delivering learning material. This needs to be developed, especially in appropriate 2-dimensional animation learning media which must be the main key so that students can follow learning well and increase student motivation in learning. Teaching modes in class, one of which is video animation. The process of learning arithmetic operations will be more easily understood by students if presented with detailed explanations and examples. According to the Computing Research and Computer Technology Research Institute (CTR), people remember 80% better what they see, hear, and do. This study aims to support the student learning process and make it easier for them to capture learning because it is animated and also equipped with detailed information. This research is motivated by a lack of understanding of the concept of arithmetic operations. Animations are made using Kinemaster as one of the main applications of motion graphics technology in the animation process and using FlipaClip as one of the 2D technology applications in the animation process.

The Integrity and Anti Corruption Course was first implemented at private higher learning institutions in Malaysia in 2022 (UniKL) to follow the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) which aims to realise the vision of the country to be of high integrity and corruption-free. The Integrity and Anti course was made compulsory to be offered and taught as one of the elective courses under the general subject category (MPU). The objective of the study is to measure the level of comprehension of the university students of engineering technology programme on integrity and corruption in Malaysia. This is important for them to be individuals who have high integrity and despise corrupt practices when they join the workforce. This initial study is important to see whether the content, delivery method, and duration of the course are suitable and adequate to create positive impacts among the undergraduates. A total of 89 respondents were chosen as convenient non-probability sampling for this study and all of them have enrolled in the Integrity and Anti-corruption course for 1 semester. They were asked to respond to questions in a survey instrument adapted from previous studies by Malaysia Integrity Institute (MII). The findings from the survey show that the majority of the respondents have a good grasp on what is integrity and why anti-corruption is detrimental to a country. Their general comprehension on the matter of Integrity and Anti-corruption is good but many have the preceptive that some specific examples of corrupt practices are acceptable. This is quite worrisome and the study proposes that this course be further improved and enhanced into a compulsory subject for all university undergraduates. This is to propagate a more comprehensive understanding of integrity and corruption as a crime that must be eradicated.

In the midst of the current digital learning era, traditional assessment has gradually shifted over prioritizing summative assessment towards equally emphasizing formative assessment within blended learning mode. However, there are still limited studies that investigate the implementation of formative assessment via blended learning mode in China particularly looking at the situation at Chinese vocational polytechnics. To explore actual formative assessment practices, a qualitative case study was conducted at two vocational polytechnics and experienced ESP teachers were selected as participants. Rich data were collected through rounds of semi-structured interviews and document analysis and emerging themes from the elicited and analysed data show five categories of challenges. The findings revealed that though most ESP teachers perceived formative assessment as an effective and fair way to monitor students’ learning process, there are still challenges that must be mitigated especially when implemented via online platforms. The challenges come in the form of difficulty in following ESP assessment principles, limited training and absence of guidelines, large class size, and students’ lack of motivation influence their assessment practices. This study justifies the need to develop explicit guidelines for best practices in ESP formative assessment for teachers’ reference.

This initial study set out to investigate university freshmen’s feedback on their online assessment experience using the university’s learning management system in their English Language course which was conducted online. The objectives of this study were to investigate a) the learners’ perception on their overall online assessment experience for a language course using the university’s LMS, b) the learners’ experience in completing a writing assessment and c) the learners’ experience in completing a listening assessment. This basic mix-method study investigated 27 English Language learners of a public university in Malaysia attending Level 1 English proficiency course. A questionnaire containing 17 items using 5-points Likert-type scale was administered to measure their general online experience and their writing and listening assessment experience using the university LMS. This was followed by a round semi-structured interviews to probe further reasons behind their perception and experience. The study found that the freshmen expressed positive perception towards their overall online language assessment experience. They also indicated positive feedback for their experience in taking online writing and listening assessments Through the interviews the students highlighted that they are able to familiarize themselves and adapt faster by drawing on their previous experience during online learning at home during Covid-19 pandemic for their high school studies. They learnt to be patient and not panicky whenever there is any technical glitch which they had faced quite a lot during the pandemic. This shows that the students have developed certain level of literacy and digital education competency.

Community service is an important co-curricular course which is offered to university students in many countries to develop critical thinking skills, awareness, empathy and soft-skills like management and communication. How such as course is able to instill in students the desired traits requires more study. This study aims to investigate the perception of undergraduates participating in community service course, the challenges that they have to face and their initiatives as mitigation strategies in achieving the goals of community service. Data for this study is elicited via a simple mix-method approach that combines elements of quantitative and qualitative research. The 68 undergraduates who served as purposive samples were enrolled in a 14-week co-curricular course called community service and were surveyed, interviewed and physically observed as they undertook the assigned tasks. All the community service groups were able to plan and execute four main projects. The study found five types of main challenges that the students have to face namely i. sourcing for funds and financial support, ii. logistics and manpower, iii. group dynamics, communication and cooperation, iv. time management and v. task planning and distribution. Initiatives and mitigation strategies undertaken by the students are having more specific meeting and discussion, exploring all possible options, appointing capable group leader who knows roles well and referring to and consulting lecturers. These insights from this study are useful for tertiary level curriculum planners to further enhance the effectiveness of such experiential learning course to further actualize the potential of the university students.
