Abstract

The current of globalization has led to competition in the world of education, so the education needed to make young people who are dignified, become responsible and democratic citizens. Islamic boarding schools as one of the institutions in non-formal education are tasked with forming the character and personality of the religion people to become a noble, noble and highly disciplined person. Formation of discipline through the order given so that students are able to become disciplined individuals by obeying the rules that have been made by Islamic boarding schools. Kyai and also boarding houses have an important role in the process of implementing the order.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are a community in which kiai, ustadz / ustadzah, santri and Islamic boarding schools administrators live in one environment by basing Islamic religious values ​​accompanied by general education instilled in pesantren. Islamic boarding schools have been known as traditional educational institutions which focus on religious education and focus all decisions on kiai who are central figures making the process of democratic education not going well because of authoritarianism. But at the Islamic Boarding School Student Boarding School im Alimussirry Surabaya does not use an authoritarian system, namely using a democratic system in its daily life. Because this boarding school is classified as a modern boarding school. Democracy will be formed when democratic values ​​have developed widely, evenly, internalized and carried out as the attitude and behavior of all components of the Islamic Boarding School Student Boarding School ‘Alimussirry Surabaya. Based on observations showing that life in Islamic Boarding School Students ‘Alimussirry Surabaya has implemented democratic values, it has been shown that there is a structured boarding house management, deliberative decision making and general elections to elect the president of the BES.

Abstract

The center of the earth and the shape of the earth have a very close relationship, theories have been widely discussed about the concept of both things. Starting from the earth shapes are flat globe and elliptical, besides that the center of the earth in the North Pole, Mecca, the core of the earth even in the archipelago (Indonesia). This study used a qualitative research method was considered in helping the researcher to comprehend better the process of constructing meaning. The study used an interview and a written questionnaire. There are fifty participants in this study, the participants from Islamic student of Jagad Alimussirry Islamic boarding school. The result of this study shown that the majority of Islamic students have a strong understanding of the earth shape and the position of the earth center, which is viewed from the perspective of science and Islam. Most of respondents have an understanding that the shape of the earth is globe with its central position in the city of Mecca.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of spirituality on the communicative level of students in the Islamic Boarding School Jagad ‘Alimussirry Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted on all students of the Islamic Boarding School Jagad ‘Alimussirry Surabaya and teachers / teachers in a vulnerable period of one semester. Data obtained from questionnaires and observations that have been transcribed, then described in detail according to existing phenomena. The results showed that the role of spirituality on the communicative level of students had a significant influence. Not only for the sake of getting closer to God, but also to improve morals (both to God and His creatures), and to achieve ultimate peace of self and the environment. This is evidenced by the communicative data of students both with fellow students, teachers, and with the natural surroundings.

Abstract

Frequent discrepancies between income and expenditure by santri caused by a great desire to continue carrying out excessive consumption activities. Effectiveness and efficiency in financial management are closely related to the spiritual intelligence of each santri. SQ intelligence in managing personal finances will have an impact in driving good and right management goals. Allah in his word also gave an appeal to all his people to be able to manage well so that the realization of the benefit of life in the world and in the hereafter can be realized. The type of this research is the quantitative research methods. The research site was centered at the Islamic Boarding School Jagad ‘Alimussirry Wonokromo Surabaya. In this study shows that spiritual intelligence has no influence on the process of managing personal finance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the difference in self control students studentboarding schools of Jagad 'alimussirry with the students in the UNESA. This research is both aquantitative approach to the field (field research). Determination of the sample in this research wasconducted with a purposive sampling technique. Based on the engineering samples taken as many as105 subject, 18 students from boarding schools of Jagad ' alimussirry and 87 of the students fromseveral departments. Data collection was done through the dissemination of the scale. The dataanalysis used the t-test is a test that is independent sample test with the help of SPSS (StatisticalProduct and Service Solution) 23.0 version for windows. The results can be seen from the results of atest of the hypothesis gained 0.106 significance so (p > 0.05). This result shows that shows that Ho isaccepted which means no difference a change or an increase in the average value of self control wassignificant between a group of students and students from various PPJA majoring in UNESA.

Abstract

Plants are one of the richest natural resources in Indonesia and contain active chemicals.These plants have the potential to become raw materials for traditional medicine. One of them isbetel plant. The use of Betel leaves, especially in Java, is generally accompanied by specialconditions or criteria, namely: betel leaf which 'meets ros-e'. 'Ros' comes from the Javanese languagewhich means vein, in this case it is a vein of leaves. 'Temu' comes from the Javanese language whichmeans to meet, meet. Betel rose meeting is betel which leaves veins (lateral nerves) meet theposition of the segment; so that the shape is symmetrical. Meanwhile, phytochemical laboratory testresults for total flavonoid content of betel leaves and non-temurose leaves were 53,522 and 43,041ppm. These values include high levels (> 50 ppm) and moderate levels (between> 10 - 50 ppm). Thehigher the level of flavonoids, the more likely the antioxidant potential will be. In theimplementation of riyadhoh, making betel leaves meet rose as a medium as a form of philosophy thatis betel or tell me means ngangsu kaweruh (studying), whereas meet rose can be interpretedas meeting taste.

Abstract

Provision of donations in Indonesia has increasingly experienced significant development. Thepurpose of this study was to determine how the influence of religiosity, demographic, and motivation levelvariables of Surabaya State University Economics Faculty students on patterns of sharing behavior. Based onthese results it can be concluded that the Faculty of Economics students do sharing behavior because it isinfluenced by demographic factors and motivation not because of the factor of religiosity, so that the higher orlower levels of student religiosity do not determine the amount of sharing made by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out the description of student procrastination and theimplications of counseling individuals with self-introspection techniques to overcomeprocrastination. This research was conducted on seventh semester Santri Achievement ScholarshipProgram (PBSB) students, data collection techniques were carried out by interview and observation.Subjects were 7 students and special subjects for in-depth interviews of 3 students, with the aim ofdeep meaning. The results of the study and discussion are that the general picture of studentprocrastination can be seen from postponement, laziness, and delay. While the impact of theapplication of self-introspection (muhasabah) by students in overcoming procrastination is to reduceprocrastination, which is evident from the following indicators: first consideration before takingaction, careful on activities that are priority, create better change.

Abstract

Every educational institution would want a conducive and peaceful atmosphere in theschool environment within the scope of teaching and learning. This does not only apply to certainlevels, but almost at various levels of elementary, junior high school, high school and the like. But inthe school environment there is still intense conflict and violence, there are several types of conflictand violence in the educational environment which are examined using qualitative descriptive typeswith the theory of conflict and violence approach, including: Types without conflict, open conflict,surface conflict and conflict. The components of violence are structural violence and culturalviolence. Preventive action that should be done is first to socialize the type of punishment for theperpetrators of violence, secondly to design or implement a polite school system.
