Abstract

Aiming at the characteristics of a certain thermostat control system such as non-linear and time varying, combining the traditional PID controller with modern fuzzy control theory, and using the EP1C12 FPGA as the core controller, the fuzzy adaptive PID temperature controller is going to be designed and achieved. The deviation and deviation rate are the inputs of fuzzy PID controller. PID parameters are the outputs of fuzzy PID controller. A set of fuzzy rules is used to achieve the online optimal regulation for the PID parameters. The simulation results of the system show that this method can significantly improve the control effect. Abstract

Data mining is the process of finding structure of data from large data sets. With this process, the decision makers can make a particular decision for further development of the real-world problems. Several data clusteringtechniques are used in data mining for finding a specific pattern of data. The K-means method isone of the familiar clustering techniques for clustering large data sets.  The K-means clustering method partitions the data set based on the assumption that the number of clusters are fixed.The main problem of this method is that if the number of clusters is to be chosen small then there is a higher probability of adding dissimilar items into the same group. On the other hand, if the number of clusters is chosen to be high, then there is a higher chance of adding similar items in the different groups. In this paper, we address this issue by proposing a new K-Means clustering algorithm. The proposed method performs data clustering dynamically. The proposed method initially calculates a threshold value as a centroid of K-Means and based on this value the number of clusters are formed. At each iteration of K-Means, if the Euclidian distance between two points is less than or equal to the threshold value, then these two data points will be in the same group. Otherwise, the proposed method will create a new cluster with the dissimilar data point. The results show that the proposed method outperforms the original K-Means method.

Abstract

This paper present a hybrid method of Newton method, Differential Evolution Algorithm (DE) and Cooperative Coevolution Algorithm (CCA). The proposed method is used to solve the optimisation problem in optimise the production of biochemical systems. The problems are maximising the biochemical systems production and simultaneously minimising the total amount of chemical reaction concentration involves. Besides that, the size of biochemical systems also contributed to the problem in optimising the biochemical systems production. In the proposed method, the Newton method is used in dealing biochemical system, DE for optimisation process while CCA is used to increase the performance of DE. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, the proposed method is tested on two benchmark biochemical systems. Then, the result that obtained by the proposed method is compare with other works and the finding shows that the proposed method performs well compare to the other works.

Abstract

Mobile and tablets are rapidly getting the chance to be basic device in the everyday life. Android has been the most well-known versatile working structure. Regardless, inferable from the open thought of Android, amount of malware is concealed in a broad number of kind applications in Android exhibits that really undermine Android security. Deep learning is another domain of AI explore that has expanded extending thought in artificial information. In this examination, we propose to relate the features from the static examination with features from the dynamic examination of Android applications and depict malware using Deep learning systems. What's more, besides distinguishing sensitive customer data sources is fundamental for security protection in portable applications. So we propose a Novel way to deal with overseeing tremendous information examination utilizing Deep learning for the affirmation of Android malware.

Abstract

Current carrying capacity of power cable should be determined by the maximum operating temperature which the insulation can withstand. The temperature rise in cable is mainly due to Joule’s loss in conductor and induced eddy loss in sheath. In this paper, based on the coupled electromagnetic-thermal theory, the power losses calculated in electric field analysis are used as the input data of thermal analysis to predict the temperature rise in different layers of cable. The Distribution radial temperature characteristic analyzed with the method of finite element. Result obtained indicates that the radial temperature distribution of the Single Phase cable do not flattened distribution. It is showed that the highest distribution radial temperature in the conductor shares, while the cable insulation near grounded showed lower distribution temperature as according to given boundary condition. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2086

Abstract

This paper addresses a tuning approach to improve transparency between master and slave manipulators in a multilateral teleoperation system. The slave manipulators comprised of multi-agents of simple mass are converted into a bilateral system through the passive decomposition technique. There are two main operations being considered, namely; grasping and handling. The object grasping is achieved through consensus control. For handling, an equalizer constructed by a Laguerre function connected in-feedback-loop to the master manipulator is chosen and tuned to achieve impedance matching between both sides of teleoperation. Fictitious Reference Iterative Tuning (FRIT) is adopted to properly tune the selected equalizer. The result shows that by introducing an optimally tuned equalizer, the overall impedance matching and transparency between the single master and multi-slave manipulators are improved. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed tuning algorithm is presented through a numerical example.

Abstract

Land use allocation for community has been a crucial process for supporting the spatial allocation either at the regency or provincial level. This study was emphasized on the analysis of land allocation at the district level. The study applied a linear programming approach to optimize the land use in Long Pahangai District then linked with the spatial information. The optimization considered several factors, i.e., land productivity, the degree of erosion and the preference of the community living in the study area. To support the optimization, the availability of land use was determined by considering the land capability using the query tools in the Geographic Information System. The level of land capability applied five constraints, namely, slope, drainage, soil texture, effective depth and erosion. The study found that the optimal allocation of land use in the study area are primary forest of 6,635.11 ha (25.19%), secondary forest of 19,025.7 ha (71.9%), mixed plantation area of 289.61 ha (1.1%), settlement area of 8.3 ha (0.03%) and rice field of 487.35 ha (1.844%). This optimal allocation might increase the community income per capita by approximately 80% from 9,602,000.- to 17,275,171.-/capita/ha/year.

Abstract

As we all know, traditional electromagnetism mechanism (EM) algorithm has the disadvantage with low solution precision, lack of mining ability and easily falling into precocity. This paper proposes a new chaos electromagnetism mechanism algorithm combining chaotic mapping with limited storage Quasi-Newton Method (EM-CMLSQN). Its main idea is that it adopts limit quasi-Newton operator to replace the local optimization operator in EM algorithm for local searching in the late of algorithm. In the process of algorithm, the chaos mapping is introduced into optimization processes, and it generates new individuals to jump out of local to maintain the population diversity according to characteristics of chaos mapping random traversal. Finally, the experiments show that the new algorithm can effectively jump out of local optimal solution through comparing three continuous space test functions. The new algorithm has obvious advantages in terms of convergence speed compared to traditional EM algorithm, in addition, it is more accuracy than particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. We compare the new chaos electromagnetism mechanism algorithm with ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm, PSO algorithm, the results represent that new scheme can obtain the optimal path in the path optimization process, which shows that the new method has better applicability in the discrete domain problem.

Abstract

To balance three-phase loads in distribution network with abundant of single-phase loads, a new wiring method and three-phase loads adjustment policy was proposed in this paper. In the wiring method, a single-phase load was connected with phase A, B and C of trunk line by a controller. When the load of trunk line was unbalanced, the controller will switch the connected single-phase loads from one phase to another to balance it. The minimum count of loads adjustment algorithm and the most balance adjustment algorithm were proposed, which can adjust the three-phase load of trunk line to roughly balance automatically. This method can solve the serious three-phase unbalance problems of the trunk lines with aboundant of single-phase loads. It may instead of capacitive compensation in low voltage distribution network to improve power quality and reduce network losses. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i8.3031
