Cloud computing has recently emerged being a compelling paradigm that pertains to managing and delivering services over the web. The particular prevalent problem connected with cloud is confidentiality, security, as well as reliability etc., in which how the cloud provider assures. To recognize this, a novel architecture is usually introduced that will integrates cloud database services and as well executing concurrent operations on encrypted information. Also a new homomorphic encryption algorithm will likely be incorporated to offer confidentiality as well as concurrent execution of various SQL operations. This will be the first option supporting quite a few distributed clienteles to access encrypted cloud databases. One of main thing is that it eliminates advanced proxies in between cloud user and provider. The performance on the architecture is usually calculated by means of theoretical and practical results which are subjected to TPC-C benchmark standard tools for a number of clients as well as network latencies.

This paper presents the simulation and optimization design of the electronically tunable impedance-matching networks for intelligent RF power amplifiers in a cognitive radio system. Reconfigurable elements, such as varactors and RF switches are utilized to achieve the dynamic impedance matching both in the input and output matching circuit, providing coarse and fine tuning of the target impedances with low loss and excellent impedance coverage from 500MHz to 800MHz. The topology of varactor model is illustrated to ensure the precision of simulation. In addition, high-precision bias voltage controlling system is designed to improve the nonlinear problem caused by the varactor. The simulation results demonstrate the excellent performance of the tunable networks, satisfying the requirement of the cognitive radio systems. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3514

Three-phase AC-voltage regulatior systems using silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) have been broadly applied in industrial field. This paper introduces a novel design of three-phase AC-voltage regulation trigger circuitry with SCR and STM32 microcontroller, and presents its application in an energy-saving design of oil extractor control system. This design employs photoelectric isolation technique and the inter-phase of three-phase power supply itself, only three groups of triggering signals are required to control the six thyristors’ conducting angles. The generation of high-precision triggering signals and PID control regulator functions are realized by programming the multiple high-performance timers and the AD interface of a STM32 microprocessor. Experiments and in-field tests have shown the feasibility of the proposed scheme. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i5.3503

Speech disfluency such as filled pause (FP) is a hindrance in Automated Speech Recognition as it degrades the accuracy performance. Previous work of FP detection and classification have fused a number of acoustical features as fusion classification is known to improve classification results. This paper presents new decision fusion of two well-established acoustical features that are zero crossing rates (ZCR) and speech envelope (ENV) with eight popular acoustical features for classification of Malay language filled pause (FP) and elongation (ELO). Five hundred ELO and 500 FP are selected from a spontaneous speeches of a parliamentary session and Naïve Bayes classifier is used for the decision fusion classification. The proposed feature fusion produced better classification performance compared to single feature classification with the highest F-measure of 82% for both classes.

In this paper, a low power consumption linear power amplifier (PA) for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) application is presented. An analogue pre-distorter (APD) is integrated to the PA. The APD consist of an active inductor, driver amplifier, and a RC phase linearizer. The PA delivers more than 12dB power gain from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz. At the center frequency of 2.45GHz, the gain of the PA is 13dB with PAE of 26.7% and maximum output power of 14dBm. The corresponding OIP3 is 27.6dBm. The supply voltage headroom of this PA is 1.8V. The propose APD serves to be a solution to improve the linearity of the PA with minimum trade-off to the power consumption.

This paper presents the comparative study between PSCAD and DIgSILENT in order to detect fault location on underground distribution network. If a fault occurs in the distribution network, it will generate the voltage dips and over current. It is possible to record the signal output in the primary substation. However, for the research purpose, some of the researcher may use different simulation program. The simulation program may have different performance to generate voltage and current signal when fault simulated. So, it is important to observe the performance of each simulation software. Due to every simulation software may have different advantages, this paper will observe the accuracy of fault distance calculation based on simulation data on the distribution model and when all types of fault are applied to the different simulation program, namely PSCAD and DIgSilent. The matching approach was adopted to calculate the fault distance. To observe the performance of the simulation program, the distance error calculation for every type of fault are compared. By using a matching approach, the PSCAD simulation program produces more accurate fault distance compare with DIgSILENT. However, it may contribute different result if different method and tested network applied.

In this paper, we study a combinatorial problem encountered in monetary systems. The problem concerned is to find an optimal solution R(k; n) of a combinatorial problem for some positive integers k and n. To the authors' knowledge, there is no eficient solutions for this problem in the literatures so far. We first show how to find an eficient recursive construction algorithm based on the backtracking search strategy. Furthermore, we can give an explicit formula for finding the maximal elements of the solution. Our new techniques have improved the time complexities of the search algorithm dramatically.

This paper is devoted to the study of multi-agent consensus with a time-varying reference state in directed networks with both switching topology and constant time delay. Stability analysis is performed based on a proposed Lyapunov–Krasovskii function. Sufficient conditions based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are given to guarantee multi-agent consensus on a time-vary reference state under arbitrary switching of the network topology even if the network communication is affected by time delay. Finally, simulation examples are given to validate the theoretical results. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i6.2603

Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is based on iterative optimization tools, system initialization of a group of random solutions, through iterative search for the optimal value. The basic idea of the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is to determine each sample data belonging to a certain degree of clustering, and the degree of membership of sample data is grouped into a cluster. Favor optimal solution in the sense of multi-objective particle swarm algorithm is efficient search capabilities. Real-time detection of R peaks in QRS complex of ECG signal is the first step in the processing of ECG waveform. Based on this, various other ECG parameters can be extracted. These parameters provide substantial information about various heart diseases. In this paper, we are proposing a method to detect R – peaks of ECG signal dynamically. The most prominent role in the R – peak detector is executed by the microcontroller. This method originates by acquiring signal from the subject and necessary pre-processing is carried out on the signal in order to achieve the denoised signal. Subsequently, this filtered signal is handed over to microcontroller where a pulse is generated for each R – peak that is found in the QRS complex of ECG signal. The microcontroller is embedded with a signal processing algorithm. The algorithm used to determine the R – peaks is double differentiation method which is straightforward and robust.
