Abstract

The final cost of an integrated circuit (IC) is proportional to its testing time. One of the main goals of test engineers when building an IC test solution is to reduce test time. Reduction of Test time is achieved by multi-site testing where multiple ICs are tested simultaneously using automated test equipment (ATE). During multi-site testing, if a certain test requires abundant resources, it is accomplished by testing one set of ICs at a time while the other ICs remain idle, thus lengthening the total test time. In digital-analog hybrid ICs, both analog and digital tests need to be performed, increasing the tester resource requirement and causing digital resource shortage. This paper describes a hardware interface board (HIB) design for a test case of a digital-analog IC on Teradyne’s ETS-364 ATE. The HIB's design allows the ATE to perform multi-site I2C based tests, which usually require lot of tester resources, utilizing only two digital resources and one measurement resource. This design achieves halving the I2C test time while lowering the number of resources necessary for multi-site testing compared to set-by-set testing. The proposed work has achieved up to 90.625% of resource reduction for multisite testing for a single test.

Abstract

Electronic health (E-health) uses information and communication technology including electronics, telecommunications, computers, and informatics to process various types of medical information, to carry out clinical services (diagnosis or therapy). Health is the most important asset in human life, therefore maintaining health is a top priority and serious attention needed. Heart rate and body temperature are vital signs that the hospital routinely checks for clinical signs and are useful for strengthening the diagnosis of a disease. In this research monitoring heart rate and body temperature with the wireless sensor network (WSN) method that uses NodeMCU 1.0 as a controller module and wireless as communication between nodes, the wireless network used in this research Wi-Fi network. As a data taker, a DS18b20 temperature sensor and a heart rate sensor (pulse sensor) are needed, which will be displayed by the ThingSpeak web and smartphones. From the test results, the success rate of the system in detecting heart rates is 97.17%. Whereas in detecting body temperature the success rate of the system is 99.28%. For data transmission, the system can send data smoothly at a maximum distance of 15 meters with a barrier.

Abstract

In this paper, we define the fuzzy subring and discussed various fundamental aspects of fuzzy subrings. We introduce the concept of level subset of this new fuzzy set and prove that level subset of fuzzy subring form a ring. We define fuzzy ideal and show that set of all fuzzy cosets form a ring. Moreover, we investigate the properties of homomorphic image of fuzzy subring.

Abstract

This work presents a technique for classifying X-ray images of the chest (CXR) by applying deep learning-based techniques. The CXR will be classified into three different types, i.e. (i) normal, (ii) COVID-19, and (iii) pneumonia. The classification challenge is raised when the X-ray images of COVID-19 and pneumonia are subtle. The CXR images of the chest are first proceeded to be standardized and to improve the visual contrast of the images. Then, the classification is performed by applying a deep learningbased technique that binds two deep learning network architectures, i.e., convolution neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM), to generate a hybrid model for the classification problem. The deep features of the images are extracted by CNN before the final classification is performed using LSTM. In addition to the hybrid models, this work explores the validity of image pre-processing methods that improve the quality of the images before the classification is performed. The experiments were conducted on a public image dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technique provides promising results and is superior to the baseline techniques.

Abstract

In this search, an important methodology has been presented for communicated information rectification utilizing advanced channel windowing approach. The modern data communication technologies are ensured with numerous challenges because of their unpredictability and arrangement. Various digital transmission topologies in 4G can't fulfill the requirements in future arrangements, therefore, alternative multicarrier modulation (MCM) becoming the nominated approaches among all other data transmission techniques. Wherein prototype filter configuration is a fundamental system based on which the synthesis and analysis filters are derived. This paper presents a complete review on the ongoing advances of finite impulse response (FIR) filter plan procedures in MCM based correspondence frameworks. Initially, the essential issues are tried, taking into consideration the presentation of available data signal applicants and the FIR filter design concept. At that point the techniques for FIR filter configuration are summed up in subtleties and are center around the accompanying three group’s recurrence testing strategies, windowing based strategies and advancement-based techniques. At last, the exhibitions of different FIR structure strategies are assessed and measured by power spectral density (PSD) and bit error rate (BER), and variable MCM plots as well as their potential prototype filters are examined.

Abstract

The infections in computer networks are complex. Its spread is analogous to a contagious disease which can cause destruction within a few seconds. Viruses in a computer or computer networks can spread rapidly by various means such as access to online social networking sites like twitter, Facebook, and opening of email attachments.  Thus, infections can go from being little dangerous to significantly harmful for a network. This paper proposed a simulation model that can predict the propagation of virus including the trend and the average infection rate using NetLogo software. Observed and simulated data sets were validated using chi-square tests. Results of the experiment have demonstrated accurate performance of the proposed model. The model could be very helpful for network administrators in mitigating the virus propagation and obstruct the spread of computer virus other than the usual prevention scheme particularly the use of antivirus software and inclusion of firewall security.

Abstract

In this paper, a modification model for single-link reverse charging of internet is formed on a multi-link wireless network. The pricing scheme also takes into account the base costs and quality of services provided by the service provider. Bit error rate (BER) was utilized as one of the well-known quality of service (QoS) attribute that can guarantee best performance for internet service provider (ISP) and users. The base price is determined as a decision variable to help ISP to maximize profit. This optimization model can be solved using the LINGO 13.0 program to gain optimal values. The computational results show that by setting costs as constants and service quality as variables, optimal results are obtained for ISPs. This can make ISP considerations in determining the base price that can benefit the ISP and according to the services provided.

Abstract

In recent years, the use of credit cards around the world has grown enormously. Thus, the number of fraud cases have also increased, resulting in losses of thousands of dollars worldwide. Therefore, it is mandatory to use techniques that are able to assist in the detection of credit card fraud. For this purpose, we have proposed a multi-level architecture, composed of four levels: authentication level, behavioral level, smart level and background processing level. In this paper, we focus on the implementation of the smart level. The aim of this level is to develop a classifier for the detection of credit card fraud, using bidirectional gated recurrent units (BGRU). The experiments, applied on well-known credit card fraud dataset from Kaggle, show that this model has peak performance compared to other proposed models, with 97.16% for accuracy rate and 99.66% for the area under the ROC curve.

Abstract

With an increase of non-linear load in today’s electrical power systems, the rate of power quality drops and the voltage source and frequency deteriorate if not properly compensated with an appropriate device. Filters are most common techniques that employed to overcome this problem and improving power quality. In this paper an improved optimization technique of filter applies to the power system is based on a particle swarm optimization with using artificial neural network technique applied to the unified power flow quality conditioner (PSO-ANN UPQC). Design particle swarm optimization and artificial neural network together result in a very high performance of flexible AC transmission lines (FACTs) controller and it implements to the system to compensate all types of power quality disturbances. This technique is very powerful for minimization of total harmonic distortion of source voltages and currents as a limit permitted by IEEE-519. The work creates a power system model in MATLAB/Simulink program to investigate our proposed optimization technique for improving control circuit of filters. The work also has measured all power quality disturbances of the electrical arc furnace of steel factory and suggests this technique of filter to improve the power quality.

Abstract

Several algorithms have been proposed to avoid the error floor region, such as the concatenation codes that requires high computational demands in addition to high complexity. This paper proposes a technique based on using cascaded BCH and convolutional codes that leads to better error correction performance. Moreover, an adaptive method based on sensing the channel's noise to determine the number of the parity bits that will be added to the used BCH that reduces the consumed bandwidth and the transmitted parity bits is presented. A further enhancement is fulfilled by using parallel processing branches, resulting in reducing the consumed time and speed up the performance. The results show that the proposed code presents a better performance. A high reduction in the number of cycles that will be used in the encoding and decoding compared with the classical method and finally a flexible parity bits method based on the signal-to-noise ratio of the channel that reduced the parity bits which leads to reduce the consumed bandwidth. The MATLAB simulation and the field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation will be provided in this paper to validate the proposed concept.
