Abstract

The existing of labeling methods can not completely meet the requirements of protein detection. It is currently in urgent need of sensitive, labeless, real-time and high throughput protein detection methods. A novel SPR imaging biomolecular interatction detection method based on time domain phase modulation is presented in this thesis. Experimental apparatus of SPR imaging biomolecular interaction detection based on TDPM is established. Biomolecular interaction is detected. 2×2 lysozyme array chip is prepared and lysozyme thermal condensation is detected by the experimental apparatus. SPR curves of the interaction are obtained and kinetic parameters are calculated. It can sensitively acquire real-time phase change caused by biomolecular interaction based on interference imaging, and resolve related bioinformation, which is a potential tool for proteomics research.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is consisting of independent and distributed sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. The most crucial and fundamental challenge facing WSN is security. Due to minimum capacity in-term of memory cost, processing and physical accessibility to sensors devices the security attacks are problematic. They are mostly deployed in open area, which expose them to different kinds of attacks. In this paper, we present an illustration of different attacks and vulnerabilities in WSN. Then we proposed a new lightweight cryptography algorithm for identifying compromised node in WSN called Leap Enhanced. Our evaluations on TOSSIM give a precise and detailed idea of the extra cost of consumption of resources needed to ensure the high level of expected security compared to other cryptography schemes in literature.

Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed a network invulnerability assessment technique based on the entropy of node importance (ENI) determined by the node betweenness combined with node degree, which can measure the network invulnerability dynamically. Simulation results show that the ENI network entropy can accurately change its values as the network nodes removed deliberately or randomly from the network, and ENI can estimate the network invulnerability accurately, as well as can reflect the damage degree of the network according to network entropy. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2966

Abstract

In the oil layer recognition, Relevance vector machines (RVM) have a good effect. But the single kernel function RVM has some limitations, a kind of multi-kernel function RVM based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed, which includes the model parameter estimation, model optimization on multi-kernel function RVM, PSO-based training, and recognition. The results of simulation experiment for a typical recognition dataset show that its effect is superior to that of classical RVM and PSO-based single kernel function RVM, and its actual application for oil layer recognition in well logging indicates that the recognition results are completely consistent with the conclusions of oil trial, and it has the high recognition accuracy and the good recognition effect. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i2.4167

Abstract

Maintaining current municipal solid waste management (MSWM) for the next ten years would not be efficient anymore as it has brought many environmental issues such as air pollution. This project has proposed Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based prediction algorithm that can forecast Solid Waste Generation (SWG) based on population growth factor. This study uses Malaysian population as sample size and the data for weight is acquired via authorized Malaysia statistics’ websites. All data will be normalized in the pre-processing stage before proceeding to the prediction using Visual Gene Developer. This project evaluated the performance using R2 value. Two hidden layers with ten and five nodes were used respectively. The result portrayed that there will be an increase of 29.03 percent of SWG in year 2031 compared to 2012. The limitation to this study is that the data was not based on real time as it was restricted by the government.

Abstract

Traditional genetic algorithm trapped into the local minimum easily. Therefore, based on a simple genetic algorithm and combine the base ideology of orthogonal design method then applied it to the population initialization, using the intergenerational elite mechanism, as well as the introduction of adaptive local search operator to prevent trapped into the local minimum and improve the convergence speed to form a new genetic algorithm. Abstract

In relation to the dissemination of information, the Internet is one of the fastest media to do so. The internet’s presence is growing very swiftly and rapidly, so it has become recognized by people from all walks of life. For that, the people need the appropriate way to maintain effectiveness in the use of the Internet. The following paper describes a study of the distribution of the cache, which is performed by the squid proxy server by creating a storage network design on Linux. Cache documents that are stored in the proxy server will be distributed to another over a network storage server. The process of caching on the proxy server is using the Least Recently Used (LRU) Algorithm. This research was carried out by developing the existing method of caching server process, then it is to be added a unit as a backup storage device for the data that must be erased because of the replacement policy applied to the squid proxy server. This study is looking at how the hit ratio and byte hit ratio after adding the storage server compared to not having a storage server. At the end of this research, it is concluded that the distributed cache processes a hit ratio and byte hit ratio higher than the cache on the current proxy server.

Abstract

Hormonal imbalance is often pointed out by medical experts to be the cause of menstrual irregularity, a common problem of women. This study aims to develop a device that would determine if a patient has hormonal imbalance by testing saliva’s conductivity onto the device for 28 consecutive days, thus, determining the cause of the patient’s menstrual irregularity. To test the accuracy of the device, the researchers selected three women residing in one home to use the device. To determine if a woman has hormonal imbalance, the data, when plotted in a chart, should have a sudden peak. However, data can’t be analyzed through visual assumptions only. Therefore, the data is analyzed through sample standard deviation. If one data is higher or lower than the sum and difference of the sample standard deviation and the mean, the woman is negative in hormonal imbalance. Comparing the result from the device and from the blood test, it is concluded that the results from the device matched the results from the blood test and medical expert interpretation.

Abstract

To solve the insufficiency of real time performance in the present real time scheduling algorithm, a new real time task classification scheduling algorithm is proposed. According to the classification of arrival of real time tasks, this algorithm is divided into periodic tasks and non-periodic tasks, and uses different improved real time scheduling algorithm to schedule different type of real time tasks. Abstract

Design of automobile modeling DNA is the core that makes enterprises establish a good and unique brand image to win on market. This paper described the definition and meaning of production DNA, also discussed the composition of production DNA and researched the design ideas of production DNA from both macro and micro aspects. Finally, it recommended would research the traditional culture into the past, present and future of three periods, explored the idea of traditional culture that the automobile modeling DNA inherited under these three periods and analyzed with the red flag car as an example.
