<![CDATA[This study aims to find out how the use of the internet in the Surau Parabek Virtual Community in the cultivation of writing members. This qualitative field research collected data using interview techniques and documentation. The interview was done virtually by contacting the editor in chief directly. This study found that philosophically, technology is used as a tool to make it easier to interact among virtual communities. Virtual communities are people who interact no longer use space in physical form but tend to interact with virtual space in this case the internet. Surau Parabek Virtual Community conducts all cultural planting activities to write virtual community members by using the internet as a tool.]]>

<![CDATA[This is a quantitative research which talks about burnout level of library service’s staff at BPAD DKI Jakarta library. The instrument of this research is “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)”. The data was collected by spreading questionnaires to 30 respondents. The research was done to measure three variables of burnout, they are physical saturation, emotional saturation, and the achievement of self. The result shows that 7% staff of BPAD library service have been identified as burnout. The burnout were particularly caused by physical saturation. According to MBI standard, the burnout level of library service’s staff is on the first level. It means that the library service’s staff could manage stress as well.]]>

<![CDATA[Abst ract This research aims to analyze transfer of Indigenous knowledge activities undertaken by local institutions Bundo Kanduang in preserving indgenous knowledge ‘Adaik Salingka Nagari’. This research background consistency Bundo Kanduang in sustaining the cultural values of the policy in the midst of the battle the wave of globalization and Westernization in Minangkabau community. This research use the paradigm of constructivism. The research method used is qualitative method with the case study approach is used to express the reality in the field. Research data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The conclusions of this research are as follows: local knowledge transfer activities undertaken by Bundo Kanduang as individuals within the family nucleus (nuclear family), and the family house (complex family), as organizations in the public, and education institutions, sharing knowledge Adaik Salingka Nagari Bundo Kanduang in organizations is done, and the exchange of knowledge, done by exchanging experiences with other organizations that are similarly engaged in community empowerment.]]>

<![CDATA[Philosophy of library can be interpreted as knowledge or knowledge that learns about the nature, basis or principle of librarianship (the science and profession of librarians). Practically (in practice), library philosophy has many roles in providing alternatives to solving various problems faced by society, and provides direction, solutions, thoughts, opinions on its success, development of knowledge, fulfillment of information, decision making, work behavior of librarians, user behavior, including providing quality services. As a new foundation, analysis and design of library philosophy and information can explain and guide the purpose of compiling the librarian intellectual environment, and provide systematic treatment of the conceptions of the foundations of a librarian environment.]]>

<![CDATA[The Research and Publishing Center (LPPM) of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang on May 4, 2017 held a Short-Course for Writing Scientific Work as an effort to arouse the spirit and tradition of writing for young writers on campus. Academically and intra-curricularly, debriefing theoretical and technical abilities has been passed through lectures on Research Methods in field training / assignments. But it turns out that there are still many resources that have not yet become true, capable and fluent in applying research design. The training participants consisted of students from the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang from various departments / faculties. Active participants who have made activities using 29 final works of writing. From the collection of texts the participants of the short course in general can be seen as follows: a. The theme of Writing Culture, a theme that has a tangent point in scientific substance, the theme of bodies, zombies and humans.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses library layout, especially spatial planning in the school library. The sample taken was at the Library of Junior High School Plus Provincial Level in West Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the Library of Junior High School Plus Provincial Level in West Jakarta and to find out whether this library was in accordance with the Guidelines for Organizing School Libraries published by the National Library in 2006. The method used in this study is descriptive method that is quantitative. The use of this method is supported by data collection by direct observation to the research site, which is then recorded on the research observation sheet. This study will assess several aspects of spatial planning from the school library. The results of this study represent the percentage of each school library, whether it is in accordance with the standard or not. For the Library of Public High School 112 Jakarta got an average score of 92.2% of the standard, while for the Library of Public High School 65 Jakarta got an average score of 76.6% of the standard, and for the Library of SMA 2 Jakarta got an average score of 86 % of standard. Thus, it can be concluded that the Library at the Provincial Level Plus High School in West Jakarta does not yet exist in accordance with the standards contained in the Guidelines for Organizing School Libraries published by the National Library of 2006. Therefore, researchers advise each school library to pay more attention. and developing the library especially in terms of spatial planning.]]>

<![CDATA[Bank Indonesia (BI) Library Kediri in implementing computer networks is quite adequate. Based on research in the field, the Bank Indonesia Kediri Library has not maximized computer network facilities for users or users. This is due to the constraints of the procurement process and the development of library space which results in constraints on various library facilities. This study aims to analyze the application or implementation of computer networks at the Bank Indonesia (BI) Kediri Library. The study was conducted through a qualitative descriptive research method with a type of case study on the application of computer networks in the Kediri BI library. Network devices that are implemented at KPw Bank Indonesia Kediri are MAN (Metropolitan Area Network). The network that is implemented in the Bank Indonesia Kediri library is a LAN (Local Area Network), which is connected to the network center in the BI office itself. The application of library automation is adequate with processing activities, availability of OPAC, circulation services and library reports. Various constraints on the network in the BI Kediri library inhibit the service process in the library, so there is a need for manual services so that services in the library such as the loan and return process continue to run.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the use of information and communication technology at the Tulungagung IAIN Library with various obstacles. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach based on empirical data from the results of interviews, data reduction, analysis and conclusion. The technique of collecting data uses observation and interviews. The use of information and communication technology in the current era has spread in almost all aspects of life, including the library. The library is a place to develop information and knowledge managed by educational institutions, as well as educational tools to help facilitate teaching and learning activities of the academic community. The library has a variety of types, one of which is a college library. The college library has a role in supporting the implementation of the Higher Education Tri Dharma, including education, research or research and community service. No wonder this technology is applied in the Library. good service will influence the satisfaction of the user. In this regard the problems encountered at the Tulungagung IAIN Library, such as constraints in network systems and technology, are still not optimally utilized for students in searching online library materials. Therefore, libraries must be able to adapt and develop information and communication technology appropriately into various types of services. Technology-based service activities are expected to be one element that attracts visitors to visit and utilize various sources of information so as to enhance the image of the library]]>

<![CDATA[This paper presents an explanation of the understanding, the scope of scholarly communication and its relationship with the publishing business related to serial crises, open access, and the potential extension of the role (extended role) of academic libraries. Currently the role of the library only focuses on user education programs (library instruction) which aims to disseminate the collection/resources library and its search strategy, especially those that are online or electronic. This role is only alluding with a small area of scholarly communication, namely discovery and dissemination. A wider role is information literacy programs, whose materials are packaged, expanded and aligned with the dynamics and scores of scholarly communication. This role is expected to spur engagement and contribution in developing a scholarly communication environment that is conducive to the development of science.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the movement and literacy activities of the community in the District of Bandung. The focus of this research is on how the activity of literacy done by the community through the activity in Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM). The scope of this research is about the role of TBM managers, attention to the problems of community literacy, community response to literacy movement and how the role of related parties such as government, regional libraries and others in supporting the literacy movement developed in TBM. The method used is qualitative method with case study approach. Data were collected through observation and indepth interviews. The result of this research is to get the picture that TBM-TBM managed by informants is TBM-TBM active in growing movement of literacy. Various literacy activities are actively carried out in various forms such as reading activities, discussions, workshops, training, competitions, exhibitions and storytelling. TBM managers actively inflame the literacy movement within the surrounding community. Community participation is quite high considering that the manager of TBM always actively make efforts of community involvement. Support from the government, especially the District Library Bandung is felt very meaningful and beneficial for the continuity of TBM and literacy movement. The partnership network is built actively with various parties, both government and private. The informants in the study as a whole are open to collaborating and sharing information, knowledge and experience in managing TBM and developing literacy movements in their communities.]]>
