Abstract

Globalization is a process of world community order that can cause positive and negative impacts. The city of Batam is one of the cities in Indonesia that experienced the impact of globalization on youth, where the lifestyle of its people especially among young people experience change. Apart from the rapid technological developments and modern lifestyle, hanging out is one of the activities that can have negative impact for both themselves and the surrounding community. Some of the factors that cause young people to do that is the influence of friends and do not want to be obsolete, but now there are some young people who still do positive things such as creating a social community that educational, therefore made an information media in the form of a documentary about community of teachers in Batam City. This documentary contains information about a community of teachers who are young people who can use their spare time to provide knowledge and fun to children aged 4 - 15 years. This documentary film aims to change the mindset and behavior of young people in order to take advantage of time with positive activities. This film is expository type using data collection method. The methods include observation, interview and film design consisting of pre production, production and post production. The results of the study prove that documentary film Expository Type can be in the form of media that convey factual information through narratives and images, based on a total percentage of 83.32% that documentary types of Expository Type can function as a medium for delivering messages and factual information for the community, especially young people in the city of Batam.

Abstract

Creating expressive 3D facial animation characters and and being able to visualize the character's facial expression becomes realistic is a challenge topic for the animator. Facial expression animation is an important aspect in 3D environments to create the presence of characters, determine emotions, help convey messages, and make animations more alive. The problem that arises is that it takes a long time in the process of work and the complexity of the various movements. But this should still be done well so that the virtual characters can display a natural expression. Controller techniques are used to perform the formation of facial expressions of 3D characters are visualized based on facial expressions so that the desired character message message can be conveyed and help speed up the process of making character facial movement. The controller position of x, y and z in this final project is an expression matrix operation of animation. This research uses character model and asset on a free rig 3D animation character as sample test. Test method used is the validity and reliability of the results of the questionnaire submitted to the 3D animator experts. The result of this research is the matrix database in the form of movement model of facial expressions, sad, angry, fear and shocked 3D characters that can be integrated on other character character models that have similar number of controller characteristics, this database will shorten the process of 3D character facial movement.

Abstract

The development of the film industry is currently growing rapidly, it does have animpact on existing technologies especially in editing techniques, thereby causing thenumber of genres that are popping up, and one was a thriller. This can occur becausethe editing techniques facilitate the videographer to create a fictitious scenes becomelook real. Rotoscoping is one frequently used editing techniques to create it.Rotoscoping itself is a technique in film editing by means of tracing live action videofootage frame by frame with filter picture selectively from each section that is in theframe and give a more realistic impression in a film. In this final task, later made afilm genre thriller, which applies the technique of rotoscoping in Adobe After Effects.The film stresses on the side of his editing, and is expected to later can add insightinto the young film makers in the world of cinema.

Abstract

PTSP (One Door integrated licensing service) Online is a website based service application. This service application is intended for Batam City community who want to open business. However, there are still many people who do not know about the application of PTSP (Integrated One Door licensing service) based online. Such as not knowing the procedure of Online registration for both individuals and foundations or companies. There is a socialization media that helps the community to know the procedures for online registration of the application PTSP (Integrated one Door licensing service) Online. Motion graphic is a combination of 2D graphic and animation design that contains complete images, text, and sound as a means of visual media. This research implements Hannafin and Peck methods consisting of three stages of need analysis, stage of design and stage of development and implementation.Based on the analysis conducted based on the results of measurement success rate through the filling of the questionnaire and obtained the test result that there is a significant difference (meaning) in tests conducted on 30 respondents An increase of 0831. In T tests of a significant 0.05 (5%) Acquired Figure Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 where 0.000 < 0.05 which means the knowledge of respondents related to PTSP online is increased after seeing the Motion Graphic "information and procedures for registering PTSP online"

Abstract

Playability is the easiness of a game player in playing games, while user experience is a game player's reference to the level of satisfaction of a game. A game certainly has an element of playability so that connoisseurs always play the game so as to produce a high level of user experience. Joko Run is one of the games similar to Subway Surfer game which is the best endless runner game for android that is easy to play. The purpose of this study is to find out the aspects of playability and user experience that must be fulfilled by game developers when designing a game and the influence of playability of the game on the level of user experience of the game "Joko Run". This study uses descriptive and verification methods, descriptive methods to know the aspects of playability and user experience, then the verification method to find the influence of playability on the user experience. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of playability obtained an average of 109.05, in the range of 105-129, which is easy. Whereas for descriptive analysis user experience obtained an average of 110.25, which is in the scale of 105-129, which is easy. Based on the results of the verification analysis obtained the coefficient of determination or the influence of playability on the user experience of 0.664 or 66.4%, is between 0.60-0.799 which is strong. So, game players can play "Joko Run" easily without having to learn the pattern of the game. Game players can also use the game features "Joko Run" smoothly, so that users feel the ease of playing the game and enhance the experience of the game player "Joko Run. Then, there is the influence of playability on the user experience game "Joko Run". A game that has easy playability tends to increase user experience, on the contrary if the playability of a game is low then it decreases the user experience.

Abstract

A production house can make adjustments in releasing the film if knows the possibility of success to the related film. The goal is to get maximum profit after thefilm is released. It can even use a prediction to know how market developmentsare. In this study, the authors used data from IMDb to predict the rating on a film.Because IMDb is the largest database consisting of relevant and comprehensiveinformation related to films. It is necessary to consider the additional features ofvisual, which basically refers to everything that appears on the screen. Everythingcaptured by the camera consisting of settings, lighting, the human figure, andcomposition, these four elements are part of the mise en scene. To determine thelevel of accuracy in film rating predictions, the author uses the science of softcomputing, namely the neural network, focusing on the prediction part. Theaccuracy of the animated movie rating prediction is based on the mise en sceneelement which is equal to 44%, the accuracy is based on the average of each testoption.

Abstract

Modeling is the process of modeling according to the object. Modeling is also called the process of modeling digitally from a tangible form using a special software. In animated videos, good modeling does not quite attract the viewer's attention without visual effect. Visual effects or VFX are computerized processes where images or object models are created and manipulated that involve making digital effects recordings and special effects generated by computers to create a virtual environment. 3D models created and given VFX will provide visual looks that look more real. VFX is commonly used in 3D animation filmmaking especially in fantasy themes. One of the most used VFX is water, including wakes, splashes of water and waterfalls. It is hoped that the making of this research can explain the the creation of VFX that supports environment and character.

Abstract

Motion graphic is used in entertain and advertising industry, it effectively works to inform a product or service as visuals communication media. In this research, a motion graphic was developed to socialize a tourism campaign that will be named as Tanjungriau Fisherism Batam. A multimedia development method was used to make this motion graphic, known as Villamil Molina method. This method has five phases of its development step. The first phase is development, its contain concept and story idea making. The second phase is reproduction, its contain Skenario and storyboard making. Then, the production phase working on the 3D modeling process, animation, dubbing, rendering, final editing using video editor and continued with the postproduction phase which contains alpha test and beta test. The last phase is delivery, to publish the motion graphic to society. The result of this research shows respondent agreement percentage with spatial 91.55%, temporal 89%, live action 90,44% and typography 84% which means the motion graphic was effective to inform Tanjungriau Fisherism as tourism campaign.

Abstract

Tanjungpinang Pos is a National newspaper from Kepualaun Riau that hasbeen present for the people of Tanjungpinang city, almost every day this newspaperis present to accompany the public with news about the city of Tanjungpinang andother Riau territories, with technology development such as this Tanjungpinang Postnewspaper also opens a digital market with presenting a website for its news site,but the need for news is getting wider, with the increasing market for Androidsmartphone users, it is pushing to create an online Android-based news application.In the future, to present online news more widely with this application. Thisapplication works by connecting to the Tanjungpinang Pos news site, so that whenthe website updates the application the issue will also be updated. The application isnot needed to install this application, this application makes using Android Studiosoftware that will connect it to the Tanjungpinang Pos website, this application aimsto access Android users in accessing news through their smartphone, so users canonly install the application and will get news up to date every day.

Abstract

In today's rapidly expanding technology this game can be enjoyed across a wide range of platforms from PCS, tablets to smartphones. One of the approaches to making games is the design of games using the MDA method. The MDA method is Mechanics, Dynamics and Aesthetics. In this method, designing a game is done from the perspective of the designer, which is from the definition of Aesthetics, determination of the game Dynamics and Mechanic. The measurement of this approach is to use a successful model and fail from Aesthetics performed through the survey process in 50 respondents. Research is a study of how MDA's modeling implementation is in the development of a game. This developed Game is titled Cave Racer with endless runner genre. Authors develop this game because games with this genre are much appreciated among the community both children, teenagers and adults because the game is easy to play and simple enough that the road continues and dodge from the obstacles. This game is based on Android, this game is genre endless runner and developed using Unity. The game aesthetics used are Challenge and Submission. The Dynamics games used are 7 and there are 8 Mechanics. Measuring model succes and models indicates Aesthetics the game from 50 respondents showed Aesthetics the challenge tends to be successful which is reaching 79.6% and Aesthetics submission also success reaches 82%.
