Abstract

Ivan Gunawan Cosmetics (IGC), a local cosmetic brand established in 2017 and owned by a renowned Indonesian celebrity and fashion designer, experienced a sales decline during the pandemic. This study aims to identify challenges and propose authentic solutions for enhancing post-pandemic sales. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research, internal management interviews and loyal consumer feedback were collected through original questionnaires. Primary and secondary data were employed for a comprehensive analysis, integrating Porter's Five Forces, Value Chain Analysis, Competitor Analysis, SWOT, and Consumer Analysis. The proposed approach suggests adopting the Business Model Canvas as the foundational framework. The BMC encompasses product innovation, distribution expansion, revenue diversification, and improved customer relationships. Recognizing the competitive advantage of association with a public figure, must adeptly navigate heightened competition in both local and global markets with integrity. Chapter 5 offers concise recommendations for precise and authentic execution, including maintaining brand consistency, responsibly expanding distribution channels, and creating original, interactive, educational, and inspirational promotional content. As competition intensifies within the Indonesian cosmetic industry, the study underscores the pivotal role of authentically establishing a robust brand value and fostering genuine customer loyalty. Through survey methodologies, the research delves into an authentic analysis of consumer attitudes, incorporating original brand analysis variables and genuine consumer sentiments toward brand impressions.Implications of this research lie in the formulation of original marketing strategies for authentically fortifying post-pandemic sales, solidifying brand positioning with integrity, and genuinely nurturing customer loyalty amidst the competitive landscape, ensuring the sustained and ethically sound success of IGC's business.

Abstract

The acne positivity movement is a movement that voices that acne as a type of skin problem, is a normal thing and not a shameful thing. This movement leads to the spread of messages and motivations to others to love themselves no matter what the conditions. One of Indonesia's beauty inluencers who quite often conveys messages about acne positivity on Instagram is Ratu Ghania (@ratughania). This study will use qualitative content analysis methods to analyze posts listed in @ratughania Instagram account to find out the type of content, audience response, and the meaning of the message behind the photos and captions uploaded by @ratughania Instagram account. Instagram was chosen as the data source because it is a popular social media that is widely used to spread many movements or campaigns including acne positivity. The theories used in this study are Social Media Theory, Influencer Concept, and Standpoint Theory. The results of this study then found three categories in Instagram content from @ratughania namely confidence, motivation, and self-defense. The trio explains how social media and influencers have the power to influence audience perspectives, and shows how the courage of women with marginalized acne-prone skin fights against the social construction of beautiful women in society

Abstract

This study aims to analyze fluid flow and particle motion characteristics in the combustion chamber of the Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boiler at PLTU Labuhan Angin using Computational Particle Fluid Dynamic (CPFD) technology. Operational data collection methods and quantitative approaches are used in this study. Operational data from the CFB Boiler of PLTU Labuhan Angin is obtained from the control room and instruments installed in the CFB Boiler. In addition, data on coal feeding, bed particles, material properties of bed particles, and detailed drawings of the CFB boiler were also collected. The data is used as input to perform modeling simulations using CPFD. CPFD was used to predict the fluid flow and particle motion in the combustion chamber, temperature distribution, and the dominant area affected by erosion. The results show that CPFD technology can be used to analyze the characteristics of fluid flow and particle motion in the combustion chamber of a CFB Boiler. In addition, the results of this study can contribute to the development of electrical energy technology. It is expected that the results of this study can provide a deeper understanding of the management of PLTU operating patterns using CPFD technology
