Abstract

The biopsychosocial needs of pregnant women have not been explored. We need an intervention that is able to restore the balance of the body. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of effleurage massage on back pain in the third trimester pregnant women. A quasi-experimental study with randomized control group pre-test post-test design. The division of the intervention group was 18 people with effleurage massage and the control group was 16 people with pregnant exercise. Observations using the ODI scale for 3 weeks at the end of week 4 were evaluated. Before and after treatment, each group did not have a difference in the average pain score (intervention group p=0. 2 and control group p=0.830). The difference between the FHR differences between groups was not significant, the p value = 0.31. The intervention with effleurage massage was proven to reduce back pain discomfort in third trimester pregnant women compared to the exercise group, using the ODI scale. There is a need for continuous care in health services for mothers such as complementary services for effleurage massage as an alternative to care for pregnant women at health centers.

Abstract

Postpartum blues is a condition of mood swings that have a mild effect starting in the first week after delivery and worsening on the third and fifth day and can last for 14 days after delivery. The incidence of postpartum blues is experienced by 80% of mothers or 4-5 new mothers, but the incidence of the baby blues itself has not been fully recorded. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and the incidence of postpartum blues in BM Listiorini, South Bengkulu Regency. This study uses analytical research with a correlation study approach (cross sectional). The population in this study were all postpartum mothers at BPM Listiorini in the month of visiting in January-February 2022. The sample used was a total sampling of 30 people. The analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with Chi Square test. The results of the study of the relationship between maternal age and the incidence of postpartum blues (0.015 < 0.05), education with the incidence of postpartum blues (p 0.171 > 0.05), parity with the incidence of postpartum blues (0.002 < 0.05) Social support with incidence of postpartum Blues (0.002 < 0.05). From the research results, age, parity and social support have a relationship with the incidence of postpartum blues, while education has no relationship with the incidence of postpartum blues. It is necessary to increase knowledge in the form of counseling on preparation for parenthood and knowledge about the postpartum blues.

Abstract

Caries is a common dental and oral disease. The main etiology of caries is plaque. Chewing fibrous fruits can prevent plaque accumulation, by increasing the pH of saliva, one of which is eating pears and cucumbers. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effectiveness of consuming pears with cucumbers on increasing salivary pH at the Cinta Kasih Orphanage Foundation, Teluk Dalam District. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest control group. The number of samples is 60 people who live in the Cinta Kasih Orphanage. Data were analyzed by statistical test T Test. Based on the results of the statistical paired t test, the average salivary pH before chewing pears was 6.94±0.53 after 7.44±0.42 with a mean of 0.50±0.11. Meanwhile, the average pH of saliva before chewing cucumber was 6. 81±0.22 after 7.02±0.16 with a mean of 0.16±0.21. The results of the independent statistical test t test obtained p values = 0.007 and 0.037, which means that there is a difference between chewing pears and cucumbers in increasing salivary pH. The conclusion of this study is that consuming pears has a higher effectiveness than cucumbers in increasing salivary Ph.

Abstract

Vaginal discharge is a problem that most women complain about. Besides being very disturbing, vaginal discharge also has many influences, both on health and harmony. Vaginal discharge is not always a disease because there is also a normal vaginal discharge. The research method used is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all young women in Environment III Kelurahan Baru Ladang Bambu as many as 125 people. The sample is 56 people, with simple random sampling technique. The results showed that 91.1% had vaginal discharge, and 8.9% had no vaginal discharge. Of the 10 young women who had good knowledge the majority experienced vaginal discharge 100%, of the 30 young women who had sufficient knowledge the majority experienced vaginal discharge 86, 7% and out of 16 young women who had less knowledge, the majority experienced vaginal discharge, 93.8%. Obtained p value = 0.399 where p value 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the knowledge of adolescent girls about vulvar hygiene with the occurrence of vaginal discharge. It is hoped that health workers will provide counseling about reproductive health so that young women's knowledge about reproductive health is increasing, especially about vulvar hygiene and vaginal discharge.

Abstract

Providing complementary foods for breast milk should be given regularly. The thickness of the food and the amount must be adjusted to the skills and readiness of the baby in receiving food. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of early complementary feeding (MP-ASI) to the growth of infants 0-6 months at the Jannah Clinic in 2019. This research method used analytical observation with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had babies 0-6 months at Jannah Clinic as many as 35 people. The sampling technique was total sampling, namely all mothers who had babies 0-6 months at the Jannah Clinic as many as 35 people. The results of the analysis showed that from 35 mothers who had babies 0-1 years, the majority of babies aged 6 months were 12 people (35%) and a minority of babies aged 2 months was 1 person (3%). Distribution based on the majority of abnormal weight gain as many as 20 people (57%). Distribution based on complementary feeding (MP-ASI) the majority on time as many as 19 people (54%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a value of = 0.000, this means that the p-value is smaller than (0.05), which means that there is a relationship between early complementary feeding (MP-ASI) on the growth of infants 0-6 months. It is hoped that health workers will provide counseling about MP-ASI, so that mothers who have babies 0-6 months only give breast milk, and babies >6 months are only given MP-ASI. 000, this means that the p value is smaller than (0.05) which means that there is a relationship between early complementary feeding (MP-ASI) on the growth of infants 0-6 months. It is hoped that health workers will provide counseling about MP-ASI, so that mothers who have babies 0-6 months only give breast milk, and babies >6 months are only given MP-ASI.

The research method used was analytical observation with a cross sectional approach. The population is all women of childbearing age who visited the Hana Kasih Clinic in 2019, totaling 30 respondents. The sample in this study was some 30 women of childbearing age at the Hana Kasih Clinic in 2019. The results of the analysis showed that the majority of PUS mothers who had good knowledge participated as 9 IUD acceptors (69.3%), 4 people with sufficient knowledge also participated (30,7%). From the results of the Chi-Square statistical test, p = 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge and participation as an IUD acceptor. It is recommended to health workers to continue to provide counseling about how to use, and the benefits of mother's participation as IUD acceptors.
