Abstract

Indonesia is the third highest contributor to leprosy cases in the world. In 2018, 640 new cases were found in West Papua with a prevalence of 17.6 / 10,000, in Sorong Regency there were 350 cases. There are 22 lepers in Baingkete Village. It is known that the physical condition of the house does not meet the requirements, and the average elementary and junior high school education is thought to be a risk factor for leprosy. The research objective was to determine the risk factors for leprosy in Baingkete Village. This type of research is analytic observation, case control design. The research was conducted in Baingkete Village, Makbon District, Sorong Regency in November 2020. The population was all residents of Baingkete Village and a sample of 66 people consisted of 22 cases and 44 controls. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using the odds ratio. The results showed that knowledge OR = 1.379, the physical condition of the house OR = 0.476, personal hygiene OR = 1.537. The conclusion is knowledge and personal hygiene are risk factors for leprosy while the physical condition of the house is a protective factor for leprosy. Suggestions for Makbon Health Center staff to work together with the community through visiting activities in an effort to prevent leprosy transmission from an early age. It is for the community to reduce the risk of transmission of leprosy through improving living behavior and environmental conditions as well as carrying out early detection.

Abstract

The aging process results in physiological and psychological changes in old age thereby increasing the risk of nutritional problems. Macronutrient intake is one of the factors that affect nutritional status. This study aims to determine the relationship between macronutrient intake and the nutritional status of the elderly at Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Institution. This research is a correlative analytic research with cross sectional design. The sample of this research were 38 people. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study showed that the average carbohydrate intake was 164.62 grams, the average protein intake was 35.44 grams and the average fat intake was 33.40 grams. As many as 55.3% of the elderly are at risk of malnutrition. The average body mass index is 21.28 kg/m2. There is a relationship between carbohydrate intake and body mass index (r=0.33, p=0.03) and there is no relationship between protein intake and body mass index (r=0.25, p=0.12) and there is no relationship between fat intake with body mass index (r=0.08, p=0.62). So that it can be concluded, the average intake of carbohydrates, protein and fat for the elderly at the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Institution is less than the daily nutritional adequacy rate. There is a relationship between carbohydrate intake and body mass index and there is no relationship between protein and fat intake and body mass index.

Abstract

Emesis Gravidarum is caused by changes in liver glycogen and an increase in the hormone HCG. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effectiveness of ginger oil aromatherapy and lemon oil aromatherapy on the reduction of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women. The design in this study is a quasy experiment with two groups of pretest posttest design with a sample size of 15 respondents per group. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling while the data analysis test uses the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. Before being given Ginger Oil aromatherapy as many as 9 respondents experienced moderate emesis. After being given ginger oil aromatherapy, 8 respondents did not experience emesis. Before being given Lemon Oil aromatherapy 9 respondents experienced mild emesis. After being given Lemon oil aromatherapy 12 respondents did not experience emesis. Analysis of the Wilcoxon test results there is an effect of giving Ginger Oil and Lemon Oil aromatherapy to reduce emesis gravidarum and the Mann Whitney test it is that Ginger Oil Aromatherapy is more effective in reducing nausea and vomiting compared to Aromatherapy Lemon Oil. Ginger oil contains essential oils that can be used to reduce nausea in pregnant women because the aroma produced is stronger.

Abstract

Triple elimination examination plays an important role in overcoming the transmission of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), syphilis and hepatitis B in pregnant women to their babies. Factors that influence mothers to perform triple elimination checks include attitudes, husband's support and distance to health services. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of attitude, husband's support and distance to health services on triple elimination examinations for pregnant women At UPTD of Palla Public Health Center, Wewewa Utara District, Southwest Sumba Regency. The research design used correlation analytic approach cross sectional. The research population was 120 pregnant women and the research sample was 30 respondents with the determination using purposive sampling. The data collection technique used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis method used is the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that most of the 17 (56.7%) respondents had a poor category attitude about the triple elimination examination, most of the 18 (60.0%) respondents received support from their husbands in the lower category, and most of the 21 (70.0%) respondents traveled long distances. to health services in the very far category and almost all 23 (76.7%) respondents did not perform a triple elimination examination. The results of the Spearman Rank prove that the factors that influence the triple elimination examination in pregnant women are attitude (p = 0.000), husband's support (p = 0.000) and distance to health services (p = 0.002). The next researcher needs to know other factors that influence the triple elimination examination, including maternal knowledge and socio-cultural knowledge.

Abstract

Prevalence of child marriage in Indonesia has more than doubled in recent years but is still one of the highest in the East Asia and Pacific region crease of mother knowledge through education. This of course has an indirect impact on increasing high risk, both morbidity and mortality for mothers and babies to be born. Reproductive health of the bride and groom is a very important thing in order to prepare mothers to be the creators of a healthy and quality generation. The aims of this study is to conduct counseling management for premarital women with the CLEAR counseling technique, ROLES body attitude and the GATHER approach. This study uses a case study design with a descriptive observational method with a focus on the application of CLEAR, ROLES and GATHER counseling techniques. The subject of this case study is Ms. M, aged 24 years. This case study was carried out at PMB Siti Nuraeni in May 2022. Data was collected directly (primary data) using the Varney management approach and documentation in the form of SOAP (subjective data assessment, objective data assessment, data analysis and case management). Then the data were analyzed in descriptive analysis. Conclusion of this study that counseling technique used in premarital care cases is in accordance with the theory, namely by using the CLEAR technique (Clarifying, Listening, Encouraging, Asking for feedback, Repeating). Body posture uses the ROLES approach (Relaxing, Opening up the client, Learning toward the client, Establishing eye contact, Smiling and squarely). Implementation of counseling steps in premarital care cases is carried out according to the "GATHER" approach (Greet, Ask, Tell, Help, Explain, and Return).

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is one of the genetic complaints experienced by almost all women but with different levels of pain and different pain responses, so that it has an impact on daily activities such as social, study, work and daily activities. Learning activities are a process of teaching and learning activities that can be in the form of listening, asking questions, discussing, and writing. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning activities and the incidence of dysmenorrhea. The research method used is descriptive analytic research with cross sectional design. The research sample was 89 students of SMA Muhammadiyah Jayapura with a sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data were collected from respondents using questionnaires. The resultd showed that 85.5% of students who experienced moderate pain and 77.9% of students who experienced severe pain stated that they did not concentrate when doing learning activities. The results of the chi square test showed p value = 0.001, which means that there is a relationship between the incidence of dysmenorrhea and student learning activities. Dysmenorrhea can affect learning activities, this is supported by the duration of bleeding, pain during dysmenorrhea, and the intensity of dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Toddlerhood is a period where the process of growth and development is most important in children. At this time toddlers need vitamin A in sufficient quantities for growth and endurance of the body against disease. Children under five are the target of the fourth millennium development in Indonesia, bearing in mind that at this stage of age, they are very vulnerable to health problems, especially the problem of vitamin A deficiency in 2020. This type of research uses observational analytic research methods with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this study were mothers who had children under five in the Pustu Bandarlama Region with a total of 39 respondents. Retrieval of data by questionnaire knowledge of mothers and attitudes of mothers who have toddlers about the provision of vitamin A capsules. The analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately. The formula in this study uses the Chi Square formula. Knowledge and attitudes of mothers who have children under five years old are associated with the provision of vitamin A capsules with ap value = 0.000. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers who had children under five about giving vitamin A capsules. There is a relationship between the knowledge of mothers who have toddlers about the provision of vitamin A capsules. There is a relationship between the attitudes of mothers who have toddlers about giving vitamin A capsules. It is recommended that the health workers in the Pustu Bandarlama be expected to improve the level of public knowledge, especially mothers who have children under five through counseling about the benefits of providing vitamin A to toddlers. Mothers are expected to care about things that are very important for toddlers. Don't just focus on toddler food and drinks but also support baby needs such as vitamin A.

Abstract

The problem of maternal mortality and morbidity in Indonesia is still a big problem. Utilization of Antenatal Care (ANC) services by a pregnant woman can be seen from the coverage of ANC services (K1 and K4). Based on the results of observations made by the authors of the Parsoburan Health Center, there are still pregnant women who do not check their pregnancies with antenatal care health workers regularly. This type of research is survey explanatory research. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence compliance with K1 to K4 visits for pregnant women at the Parsoburuan Public Health Center, Habinsaran District, Toba Regency in 2021. The population of this research is all pregnant women in Besitang District, Toba Regency, totaling 65 people and a sample of 60 people were taken by simple random sampling. Primary data was collected through interviews, and data analysis was performed using the chi square test and simple logistic regression test. The results of the chi square test and logistic regression test show that the variables age, knowledge, education, and affordability have a relationship and influence on ANC visits because the p value <0.05. This research is expected to provide input to the Toba District Health Office to improve antenatal care in Habinsaran District, provide information to increase pregnant women's knowledge, improve performance and pay more attention to the welfare of village midwives so they are willing to live and settle in the village..

Abstract

Satisfaction is a level of patient feeling that arises as a result of the performance of health services that he gets after the patient compares with what he expects, especially family planning services. Family planning services aim to create quality families through planning the number of families in a planned manner. This study aims to identify the satisfaction of family planning acceptors with family planning services in the area of the Beras Basah Health Center, Langkat Regency which is assessed from five aspects of the quality of health services, namely reality, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and counseling. This study uses a descriptive design with a sample of 73 people, sampling through accidental sampling technique. The study was conducted from February to April 2010. Data was collected using a questionnaire as a research instrument to measure the satisfaction of family planning acceptors with family planning services in the area of the Beras Basah Health Center, Langkat Regency. In this study, the data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of frequency and percentage distribution tables. The results showed that of the 73 respondents, there were 47% of acceptors who had a high level of satisfaction, 52% of acceptors who had a moderate level of satisfaction and 1% of acceptors who had a low level of satisfaction with family planning services in the area of the Beras Basah Health Center, Langkat Regency, especially in the aspect of responsiveness and counseling. The implications of this research in terms of the implementation of family planning services carried out by midwives need to be improved again in order to achieve a sense of satisfaction for the acceptors with the services provided.

Abstract

Bronchial asthma is a condition in which the airways narrow due to hypersensitivity to certain stimuli, which causes inflammation. Eucalyptus is a plant that is often used as a drug by inhalation because it contains terpenes, porphyrin derivatives, and other phenolic compounds for pharmacological activity. Eucalyptus can be inhaled to produce local or systemic effects through inhalation by inhalation using a vapor, nebulizer, or aerosol spray. This study aims to carry out nursing assessments for clients who experience asthma, establish nursing diagnoses for clients who experience asthma, develop nursing plans for clients who experience asthma, carry out nursing actions for clients who experience asthma, carry out nursing evaluations for clients who experience asthma, perform discussion of the results of the application of eucalyptus aromatherapy to clients who experience asthma. The research method was carried out qualitatively with a content analysis approach to patients directly. The results obtained prove that there is an effective effect in administering simple steam aromatherapy eucalyptus inhalation therapy to asthma sufferers.
