Abstract

The increasing level of middle class welfare in Indonesia is not only a gift for the country, but also for Muslims as the majority. Unfortunately, these economic improvements have not yet fully reached the pesantren environment widely, especially in Central Java Province. Seeing this condition, the provincial government cooperated with Bank Indonesia to provide pesantren economic development assistance programs. One of the participants is Al Anwar 3 Islamic Boarding School located in Sarang District, Rembang Regency. The launch of the pilot project is certainly the beginning of the empowerment of the santri group, which has not been explored to date. Applying a qualitative descriptive method, this research analyzes how the readiness of the pondok in developing the initial program, which later is expected to run continuously. Looking at the research results obtained, the Al Anwar 3 pesantren is quite ready to run the program, only in the future some strategic aspects, such as land preparation and increased synergy between internal parties of the cottage need to be improved so that the long-term policy objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to offer a model of the organization of the secretariat of the council (setwan) at the provincial and district / city level capable of supporting the duties and functions of the DPRD in carrying out its duties. The organizational model is the result of a review of the existing organizational model combined with various literature reviews and adjustments to the facts that occur in the field. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting data from key informants and ordinary informants who were selected purposively and using interview, observation and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis with 2 (two) stages, triangulation, comparison of norms in force before explaining the results and findings. The results showed that the current organizational model has not been able to support the DPRD's main task in producing legal products in the form of regional regulations which are the initiative of the DPRD itself. The model offered from the research results will be able to improve the duties and functions of the DPRD in the future.

Abstract

Urban slums is one of the main issues that developing countries discussed nowadays, whether to eliminate slums area or through sustainable development policies and official rental housing policies. One of the method is the CAP method as a way to build a community that could take actions in accordance with problems, needs and potential resources. However, the CAP method requires a good governance because it involves government, citizens, social and private organizations. Through a literature study approach, this research expects to obtain a framework and relevant theory to the implementation of the Community Action Plan (CAP) in the slum area management with the perspective of good urban governance. The analysis results shows that the CAP can be implemented for management of slums area through the stages of preparation, social environmental mapping, and approval of the CAP and a new layout map. However, the implementation must confirm four domains of constrains to assess a good urban governance, such: responsibility, accountability, representation, access, strength, legitimacy and effectiveness. This results in governance that is not only responsive and effective, but also resilient, reliable and balanced.

Abstract

Development of the Earth Park (Geopark) which requires good governance in the development of the Geopark Area in Karangsambung-Karangbolong, Kebumen Regency, East Java Province. Good governance will create the development of geological heritage that is able to develop tourist areas are also supportive. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze how to develop Geopark and government efforts to overcome the inhibiting factors in an effort to empower people around the Geopark Area. The method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive and inductive evaluation methods. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results obtained indicate that the results of the development of the Karangsambung-Karangbolong National Geopark continue to be pursued in qualifications towards an international Geopark in 2021. The author provides suggestions for achieving the qualification target Geopark needed synergy from various related parties, active participation of the community to participate in any activities that are the construction of Geopark.

Abstract

This research titled is “Empowerment of Rattan Industry Craftsmen After Disasters by Department of Trade and Industry in Palu City Central Sulawesi Province”. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the empowerment process, supporting factors and inhibiting factors faced, as well as efforts made by the Department of Trade and Industry to overcome obstacles in the empowerment of rattan industry crafters in the aftermath of a disaster. The research method used by the author in this study is descriptive qualitative.The data collection techniques are interviews, documens and observations. The data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The result of this research apprenticeship show that empowerment of crafters in managing the rattan industry after disaster has been carried out. But in the implementation, the empowerment process has not been carried out optimally. Because the mindset of craftsmen who are still using old mindset, the absence of Standard Operating Procedures regarding the rattan industry which results in an ineffective upstream and downstream system, Limited funds owned by the government in providing assistance and the independence of the craftsmen in producing raw materials supporting the rattan industry. After disaster, Department of Trade and Industry has made efforts to overcome obstacles with : make a Standard Operating Procedures dan rebuilding the upstream and downstream systems. In addition, Department of Trade and Industry has also allocated funds in accordance with needs and provides socialization in changing the mindset of rattan industry crafters and training to develop rattan industry businesses. The authors suggests to the city government that in the future in making a development and empowerment planning, the city government must fist make Standard Operating Procedures.
