Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Village Fund management in Tende Village, Galang Sub-district, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This study employs qualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation from primary and secondary sources. This study discovered that the implementation of Village Fund at the planning level could accommodate community aspirations. Development in the infrastructure sector had a significant impact on the community. However, the negative side of Village Fund implementation is the dominance of the Activity Implementation Team (TPK), which does not involve the community in implementation, especially in infrastructure development. Furthermore, due to the limited bureaucracy, the disbursement of the Village Fund took a considerable amount of time. In addition, the Village Fund had implications for decreasing the social capital of village communities. This study argues that the utilization of Village Fund should be tailored to the specific conditions of each village. This study contributes by providing additional perspectives on Village Fund implementation in underdeveloped villages.

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical health issue and a national priority program, particularly in Majene Regency. In response, the Local Government of Majene issued Regional Regulation No. 30 of 2019 aimed at accelerating the reduction of stunting prevalence in the region. However, the policy has yet to achieve its intended goals. This research aims to identify and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of stunting reduction policies in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province, and to formulate strategies to optimize policy implementation. The study employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews, documentation review, and observations. Data analysis involves condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. Informants were selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Findings indicate that supportive factors include: 1) Precision of stunting reduction policy instruments, 2) Clarity in policy design encompassing procedures, timing, resources, and adaptation of stunting prevalence reduction targets, 3) Clear institutional design involving executing organizations and inter-organizational coordination, 4) Oversight by supervisory bodies, 5) Availability of necessary resources, and perceived community benefits. Conversely, inhibiting factors include: 1) Challenges in policy instrument implementation, 2) Inadequate community oversight, 3) Insufficient required resources, and 4) Low community involvement. Proposed efforts to optimize stunting reduction policy implementation in Majene include enhancing budget absorption for stunting, implementing iron supplementation as a preventative strategy aimed at improving future generation health, and increasing community participation through regular infant counseling and measurement.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the challenges to realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045. Thus, stunting is currently a national priority issue due to the stunting prevalence movement at the national and regional levels. There is a quite contrasting gap in stunting rates seen in the islands of Southeast Sulawesi Province, especially Buton Regency. More than that, there is a Bajau Tribe community that lives side by side with mainland communities where the stunting rate is very high, it is influenced by economic conditions, education, and underdeveloped health facilities. With the formation of the Stunting Acceleration Team by the Buton Regency Regional Government, a collaboration process occurs between stakeholders. Thus, this study aims to analyze the relationships that occur during the collaboration process in preventing and handling stunting in the Bajau tribe community in Buton Regency. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach where data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, audio-visual, and digital materials, this study found that the interactions that occur between stakeholders occur well, especially the interaction between the government and the community. However, there are several obstacles influenced by the social conditions of the Bajau community that hinder the exchange of information and the active participation of the community in the stunting reduction program.

Abstract

Poverty is still a major problem that has not been completely resolved. Therefore, SDGs are present as a global and national commitment to realize sustainable development globally and improve people's welfare. The first goal of SDGs is no poverty, with one of the empowerment programs called Women Heads of Households. This study aims to analyze issues related to the empowerment program for women heads of households using literature studies from the Scopus database, and describe the findings on 1) developments in publication trends, 2) the most influential researchers and articles, 3) article linkage maps seen from the co-occurrence of author keywords. The author uses bibliometric analysis processed using the publish or perish and Vosviewer applications. The results of the analysis show that the topic has begun to receive research attention since 1988 with the highest number of publications occurring in 2020 as many as 72 articles. The article entitled Global Burden of Cardiovascular Diseases and Risk Factors, 1990-2019: Update From the GBD 2019 Study written by G.A. Roth received the highest number of citations of 5917 citations. As for the analysis of the article seen from the co-occurrence relationship map of the author's keywords, 17 (seventeen) clusters were formed. Issues related to equality are one of the most frequent and long-discussed topics in research related to the empowerment program for women heads of families.

Abstract

How much does the difference between various poverty measurements? Though has been discussed in the academic literature, that question has never been analysed empirically. To provide the empirical evidence, this paper conducted a survey in the Seribu Archipelago, Indonesia, on the monetary single-dimensional poverty, the monetary multi-dimensional poverty, and nonmonetary poverty with 636 sample. Providing survey of three poverty measurements, this analysis found that there was significant difference on the number of people categorised as the poor. Because this survey result supports theoretical understanding of broader issues of the poverty and government policy, this paper recommends the construction of comprehensive poverty measurement, not just relying on the monetary single-dimensional approach.

Abstract

Despite its strong cultural value, the Batik Trusmi industry in Cirebon faces challenges in competing globally due to limited knowledge of digital marketing and branding. This study aims to analyze the role of modern marketing in enhancing the competitiveness of Batik Trusmi and to identify the need for digital marketing training among artisans to promote their products internationally. A qualitative approach was used, involving in-depth interviews with 20 artisans and industry stakeholders and a literature review. The findings indicate that while Batik Trusmi artisans possess strong technical skills, they lack knowledge in digital marketing and branding, which hinders expansion into global markets. The recently inaugurated Digital Batik Trusmi Museum is expected to serve as a platform for enhancing the global visibility of Batik products. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening training in digital marketing and branding to boost Batik Trusmi's competitiveness in international markets. This study recommends closer collaboration between the government, the private sector, and artisans to create a digital ecosystem supporting Batik Trusmi's development as a global product.

Abstract

The tourism sector plays a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, including in Lebak Regency. Despite its abundant natural and cultural tourism potential, this sector has yet to be fully optimized. One effective strategy to strengthen the tourism sector is by engaging the younger generation in the development and promotion of tourist destinations. The Tourism Ambassador Competition serves as an effective means to cultivate a generation that is both aware of and capable of promoting their region’s tourism potential. This study aims to analyze the role of the Tourism Ambassador Competition in youth empowerment and its impact on tourism sector growth and new economic revival in Lebak Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews with competition organizers, Tourism Ambassador participants, and local communities. Additionally, observations of competition activities were conducted to obtain a more comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that the Tourism Ambassador Competition has positively influenced young people's awareness and involvement in the tourism sector. Participants not only develop communication and promotional skills but also act as change agents in introducing local tourist destinations. Furthermore, the presence of Tourism Ambassadors contributes to local economic growth by increasing the number of visitors. The Tourism Ambassador Competition has proven to be an effective initiative in strengthening the role of the younger generation as pioneers in revitalizing tourism in Lebak Regency. Through capacity-building efforts for participants, the tourism sector can expand more rapidly, create new economic opportunities, and enhance the well-being of local communities.

Abstract

The strategic area of Gerbangkertosusila in East Java has experienced significant economic growth, yet it is accompanied by development disparities across regions. Surabaya City, as the core area, contributes the most to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), while peripheral areas such as Bangkalan, Lamongan, and Mojokerto City lag economically and socially. This research aims to formulate a development strategy that not only promotes economic growth but also ensures equitable development. Using descriptive statistical analysis, the Williamson Index, and SWOT analysis, the study finds that the Williamson Index value for Gerbangkertosusila remained high over the past five years (average 0.8442), indicating substantial disparities. The proposed development strategy focuses on enhancing interregional connectivity, diversifying economic sectors in peripheral areas, and promoting equitable investment to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth across the metropolitan area.
