Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of e-service quality, brand awareness, advertising in influencing the brand image of the specialty store on the behavior of consumers' decisions to repurchase specialty store products. The sample of this study was taken from the consumer population in the Greater Jakarta area. This study uses a questionnaire to measure the effect of the relationship between independent variables (e-service quality, brand awareness, advertising), and mediating variable (brand image) on the dependent variable (repurchase intention). The research results were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) tools. Based on the results of the study, it was found that e-service quality and brand awareness had a significant effect on brand image, while advertising did not have a significant effect on brand image. For the brand image itself has a significant influence on repurchase intention. The results show that the level of e-service quality and brand awareness plays an important role in improving the brand image in specialty stores. Therefore, to increase the achievement of sales targets, a specialty store needs to improve its brand image because it has an impact on consumer repurchase decision behavior. In this study, the variable e-service quality is used which is a digital-based service through the internet network where previous studies have tested service quality on brand image, but have not focused on digital-based services.

Abstract

To achieve increased professionalism, the officers were disturbed by several shipwrecks that occurred. During the period 2013-2016, there have been 32 KRI accidents, the data can show an increasing trend of KRI accidents. In the maritime world, several ship accidents occur due to, among others, natural conditions, technical failures, shipping lane conditions, ship-related factors, human error, and cargo-related factors. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study method. From the research results, the ship which weighs 1,900 tons, has dimensions of 90.70 meters x 11.12 meters x 3.4 meters, is powered by 2 diesel engines, which can propel the ship up to a speed of 18 knots and can carry cargo up to 600 tons. happened when the ship finished docking. The habit factor of the ships above, anchoring like that, of course, has a reason, the Commander should in the learning process find out to enrich knowledge through experience to find the truth of the habit because one day it becomes one of the keys to work effectiveness and benefits in taking an action. If he learns from experience, leakage can be avoided. The results of the research show that expertise and responsibility are two of the pillars of professionalism, which are relevant to the case study of the shipwreck that the researcher lifted. The results of the ship accident case study, identified that to prevent accidents, officers must have technical, interpersonal, and conceptual skills. These three factors constitute a totality. This means that all three are interrelated and all KRI officers need some mix of all three. If one of them is not perfect or does not exist, it will have implications for shipping safety.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the barrier to the development of selected municipalities of Sulu province. It aimed to find out the Suluanos’ concept of development in terms of political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, and ecological aspects, including how these perceived barriers affect the development of Sulu. This research utilized the descriptive method where the Quantitative aspect gathered the data from 400 adults of ten big municipalities using a checklist questionnaire. The respondents were selected through systematic sampling. For the qualitative part, the collected data were from 90 participants through focus group discussions. The statistical tools used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and group means. The finding revealed that the Suluanos’ concept of development upheld the development policies which are participatory, equitable, appropriateness, concertizing, and environment friendly and the corresponding functions of development such as the political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, and ecological aspects. Of the five development functions, the economic aspect (2.95) was the main barrier to development. It is followed by the technological aspect (2.91), the political (2.79), and ecological (2.42) as the fourth rank. On the other hand, the socio-cultural part (2.21) was the least encountered barrier. The perceived barriers that affected the development of Sulu were related to lack of high ethical standards, transparency, accountability, effectiveness, and lack of respect for and commitment to social justice, human rights, environmental life protection, and people's empowerment. Based on the data gathered, the findings made the researcher conclude that the political, economic, technological, socio-cultural, and ecological aspects in Sulu were considered barriers to development. They were not within the bounds of good governance. Bureaucracy was weak due to the leaders' personalities, who were neither transactional nor transformational. At the same time, they were not within the context of the alternative model of development. To minimize if not eliminate the barriers to development, the government's efforts should be geared towards accountability to improve the quality of governance and dispensation of justice. Further studies are recommended to determine other predictors that can similarly evaluate the development conditions of Sulu Province.
